2008-2019... pretty much every major character has already made it way to the movies or tv shows and they've been recycled/rehashed too many times to be hot or spec'ed on... that and a bad economy/global pandemic doesn't really give anyone any hype or reason to buy/invest in books... even b4 this started.. Black Widow and WW84 were the main movies for the year... yeah Birds of Prey came and went and it sucked... so not a big movie release year... seriously who actually liked Eternals b4 they announced they were making a movie?

just own it.. that's what I usually do

I was following this book but was out jogging and forgot it ended at an early time - sold for a very cheap $2160.00 with BP on HA
Will kick myself for a long time for missing out on it.
Happened to me a week or two ago.. I was bidding and even watching an auction for a super fair priced mega BA key but forgot it ended at an early morning time.. still mulling about it oh well .. balance in the universe i guess

9/23/17 This company posted the estate sale ad only a couple days before the start date ... kinda out of my area so I was hoping it was low key enough .. I tend to notice more buyers come out on Saturday morning sales... the pics showed short box upon short box maybe 30-40 boxes but all lids were closed .. Only one box was open and the pics showed Planet Hulk issues.. so I'm thinking this sale is only going to have late 2000s modern drek at best... I was first and chose the right box.. (it's an acquired skill at choosing the right box to look at)..The first comic I found was either NYX 3 or Catwoman 51.. easily the best estate sale I'd ever been to based on quality, quantity, and price.. only 50 cents each.. one of the most joyous days .. spent $250 total ... some of the highlights.. Batman 244 ended up being an error issue

I feel like ASM 569 1st Anti-Venom has more room to grow along w Batman 655 1st Damian Wayne... I could see them both being $75 books .... other stuff that's cooled off Batman 358 or Detective 523 (1st Killer Crocs) or Bats 475 1st Renne Montoya, Tec 647 1st Spolier, Robin 126 1st Stephanie Brown are cheap $5-15 books

September 7/2017.. I knew about this estate sale months in advance from an unpopular estate sales website.. I offered a lot to buy the whole collection but the lady running the sale said it was too low.. As I'm driving to the dawn of sale, I think to myself I should have brought my iPod because I'm going to be waiting all alone in the dark.. well there are 3/5 ppl ahead of me (all for the comics)... one came the day before (he bought a VF Hulk 181 for $500)... mind you this was the best advertised comics estate sale I'd ever seen.. not far either.. clear photos of silver, bronze, copper keys right next to each other.. big keys.. nice shapes.. it was a who's who of every dealer, reseller, store owner, collector that showed up.. these are the leftovers I got priced $5 each.. the Avengers 69 was $10, 196 $15

What do we want!
Proper verbiage!
When do we want it!
When we submit our cool internal misprint books for encapsulation!
Trips off the tongue doesn't it
If there's an error on the cover it's easy to see thats why.. if it's internal it's a personality trait that can only been seen within.. so that's why the notations are key

I would prefer a qualified label myself with a note indicating the type of printing error - or a blue but with a full note. For me, these printing errors are desirable because they are so comparatively scarce. You can pick most 'regular' books up easily but some of these error books have only a handful of copies known - why have what everyone else has got when you can have something fairly unique!
I 'Asked CGC' three times about my ASM #5. The first was deleted a few years back with no response. The second got a response which was 'Qualified with note' but was deleted / not published before I could save a copy. The third is below, from early last month:
That got deleted too so it seems to me that CGC are reluctant to publish an official stance on these types of books. That's fair enough, it's their service, but I won't be submitting it as a result. There's no point having a cool one of a kind error and having it entombed in an unmarked slab is there!
Very nice ASM error.. really suave... a green qualified label is an eye getter vs blue.. I would also want a detailed explanation w proper verbiage if it is labeled universal

That's a thing of beauty Littledoom. Internal printing errors are, of course, much harder to find than cover errors and that is a great one. CGC seem very inconsistent on their treatment of these - I have an ASM #5 with an internal printing error and they said they would place it in a blue holder with no note which I thought defeated the object somewhat.
Anyway, nice book and thanks for sharing the video - here's a screenshot of it:
Thanks for screenshotting it.. yeah I feel it's up to the discretion of the slab guy... that message exchange from the CGC rep was from Nov 2017! So who knows how attitudes and behaviors change... I think if it were in my favor it would be blue labeled.. as for me now, I enjoy the ability to fan through the pages at my leisure.. so it's raw

I remember back in 2007-2009 I was bidding on raw copies on ebay... they were topping in about $125 or so for fine ish copies..I would gladly pay more than double the bothersome going rate back then
any theories on why prices seem to be dropping with a lot of books?

2.5-3 years ago I passed on a stack of maybe 20-30 original owner Eternals 1 high grade copies for $6 each........ somehow in that moment I knew I should have attempted to buy the whole lot but it was hard to for such a meaningless book at the time
