..... That opening scene blew me away and I think it's widely considered one the the best of 2000s superhero flicks

Summer 2001, I am at a tag sale on LI and ask, as I always do, about comics. The homeowners say no, sorry, none here. I ask a few follow up questions and they say yes, a cousin used to collect comics, give me your number and I'll pass it along. Great, you never know. So, I get a phone call some days or weeks later and it's the cousin. We speak a couple of times and talk about his collection and eventually set up a time for me to go to his apartment in Hoboken, NJ to check it out. September 10, 2001, I leave work and head to Hoboken by way of the Path train from the World Trade Center. I get to the apartment, meet the guy, and he tells me they're up there in that box on top of a high shelf? refrigerator? I can't recall exactly, but the medium sized, brown cardboard box has a pretty thick layer of dust on the top and the guy tells me that he was an active collector years ago going to shows in NYC, etc., but gave up the hobby.
A lot of people would have just walked away after the initial "no" glad that wasn't the case

Now, next months books are a different story.....
Yeah next months books when they return to regular release is what I'm referring to.. stores aren't going to order that many copies.. so when releases come out I can imagine the first 3-4 weeks to be low print .. I can't imagine the regular subscribers flocking to buy those.. but they won't be key issues..

Five DC books shipped this week - my LCS (which is shockingly not closed) emailed me and said they've gotten them:
- Batman Giant #4
- Daphne Byrne #4
- The Dreaming #20
- Nightwing #70 2nd print
- Batman #89 2nd Print
I figure for $25 this is an interesting speculative play. What happens if these books are not sent with a Diamond shipment in May/June? I'd have to believe that the amount of these five books (and whatever comes out in the next couple of weeks) printed will be really small.
I'm specing hard on these low print 2020 books during this pandemic.. I can see them being $20 books 5 years from now

11.29.2019 There's no worse feeling than pulling up to a yard sale and seeing another guy with a healthy stack of "only" 40 or so comics lol. I got a handful of great books so I can only guess what the first guy got. I ended up also buying some horror t shirts and magazines. Then this seller told me he had more longboxes of comics that he was planning to put out for his next sale (he has these every week). So I contacted him and asked If I could buy some comics since I would be in the area. The best part was when he gifted me a '96 USA Olympics track jacket for free
Paid $25 for all the comics in the pic

We should post a 'I never thought I'd sell this in a million years thread'.
Most of my ebay sales are keys and in demand stuff, but I moved some items I thought would sit there forever.

11-22-19 Went to an estate sale pretty far really early but there were two guys ahead of me. They ended up getting into an argument about who was there first. One of the guys placed a box first but he and the box were not present until an hour to go. Another guy was actually there w the box the whole time. The guy claiming to be first showed the lady a picture he took of his box and the timestamp and that was his saving grace. Luckily they were not there for comics .. $2 bucks a pop

Venom vs Carnage 1-4 just sold for $200 ... I remember when I was stunned to see this set sell for $100 a few years back

Strange Tales 169 - sell on the current Doctor Strange 2 rumor or hold until confirmation (if he is actually in it)?
keep (I'm holding onto mine), I think that character will be used.. it's a key that holds weight on it's own even if he's not used, so I think it's better to just hold onto it.. it's also one of those books that holds weight just because ppl like to speculate on it too
