September 7/2017.. I knew about this estate sale months in advance from an unpopular estate sales website.. I offered a lot to buy the whole collection but the lady running the sale said it was too low.. As I'm driving to the dawn of sale, I think to myself I should have brought my iPod because I'm going to be waiting all alone in the dark.. well there are 3/5 ppl ahead of me (all for the comics)... one came the day before (he bought a VF Hulk 181 for $500)... mind you this was the best advertised comics estate sale I'd ever seen.. not far either.. clear photos of silver, bronze, copper keys right next to each other.. big keys.. nice shapes.. it was a who's who of every dealer, reseller, store owner, collector that showed up.. these are the leftovers I got priced $5 each.. the Avengers 69 was $10, 196 $15

What do we want!
Proper verbiage!
When do we want it!
When we submit our cool internal misprint books for encapsulation!
Trips off the tongue doesn't it
If there's an error on the cover it's easy to see thats why.. if it's internal it's a personality trait that can only been seen within.. so that's why the notations are key

I would prefer a qualified label myself with a note indicating the type of printing error - or a blue but with a full note. For me, these printing errors are desirable because they are so comparatively scarce. You can pick most 'regular' books up easily but some of these error books have only a handful of copies known - why have what everyone else has got when you can have something fairly unique!
I 'Asked CGC' three times about my ASM #5. The first was deleted a few years back with no response. The second got a response which was 'Qualified with note' but was deleted / not published before I could save a copy. The third is below, from early last month:
That got deleted too so it seems to me that CGC are reluctant to publish an official stance on these types of books. That's fair enough, it's their service, but I won't be submitting it as a result. There's no point having a cool one of a kind error and having it entombed in an unmarked slab is there!
Very nice ASM error.. really suave... a green qualified label is an eye getter vs blue.. I would also want a detailed explanation w proper verbiage if it is labeled universal

That's a thing of beauty Littledoom. Internal printing errors are, of course, much harder to find than cover errors and that is a great one. CGC seem very inconsistent on their treatment of these - I have an ASM #5 with an internal printing error and they said they would place it in a blue holder with no note which I thought defeated the object somewhat.
Anyway, nice book and thanks for sharing the video - here's a screenshot of it:
Thanks for screenshotting it.. yeah I feel it's up to the discretion of the slab guy... that message exchange from the CGC rep was from Nov 2017! So who knows how attitudes and behaviors change... I think if it were in my favor it would be blue labeled.. as for me now, I enjoy the ability to fan through the pages at my leisure.. so it's raw

I remember back in 2007-2009 I was bidding on raw copies on ebay... they were topping in about $125 or so for fine ish copies..I would gladly pay more than double the bothersome going rate back then

August 20, 2017.. Carpooled with a dealer friend far away to a garage sale in the high desert.. a man had bought a collection and was selling the comics $2 each.... all expect the Supes 233... that was $15.... the SW 1s were the blue error Galactus issues ... I'm going to post a haul a day until this is over

At 10:30 is where I show off Batman 244 in detail but starts off at 9:19 in the video.
I emailed CGC and here's what a rep said
Matthew Gens
"Thank you for your email. Our graders reviewed the video and determined that the book would be graded and placed in a holder with the green qualified label. The label would state “manufacturer error,” as well as something similar to “manufactured without magenta ink on page 3.” Please note that the second quote is just an example as the graders would determine the exact wording and verbiage. Thank you"

New Avengers 7 1st Illuminati has several sales on April 7th after having been cold.. maybe someone is buying up copies
-
sales have been great for non-comic items.. I would say it's even a seller's market.. if you have the goods no one else has it's a good time to be selling ..
-
Mega key books will sell for their mega key prices.. don't expect to snag a $3,000 comic for $50...there are always buyers .. I've seen CGC high grade slabs sell for above retail this week.. if the condition is lower grade raw that might be a different story

Daredevil 7 1st Red Costume .. all this talk of DD1... it's his first appearance as we know him.. red, billy clubs.. logo... etc on par w FF3, Hulk 2
Sub Mariner 19 1st Sting Ray... if a Namor movie is made supporting characters will be needed and I can see a jump like Man Ape to Avengers 62
Justice League of America 75 1st Black Canary (I don't own a copy, I know this is a risk 4 me) big player in JLA and can snag a sweetie for under $100
Green Lantern 76 SEVERELY UNDERVALUED... MEGA KEY that has stood test of time... due to lack of movie presence it's low.. but I can see 3x value if a movie is made
DC Comics Presents 26 1st New Teen Titans (Cyborg, Starfire, Raven).. If this comic was silver age it would be worth tenfold... Cyborg is a JL member and has a solo film next
Amazing Spider-Man 194 1st Black Cat.... The main love interest of Spidey other than MJ = BIG DEAL
Suicide Squad 23 1st Oracle... cheap $15/20 ... big player of Birds of Prey and Nightwing love interest
New Teen Titans 1 ... way undervalued
New Teen Titans 23 1st Blackfire & Vigilante... cheap $1-5 book.. female against to Starfire and TT.. could be a big deal
New Teen Titans 26 1st Terra... again if a movie is made expect her and Deathstroke to be a part of Judas Contract storyline (the best TT storyline) .. super cheap book btw
New Teen Titans 44 1st Nightwing... if a TT movie is made I expect a jump as he and Starfire will be co leaders
Daredevil 232 1st Nuke.. only $15 on a good day... hes a filler thug... imagine if Punisher 2004 came out in 2024.. what would ppl pay for the first Russian?
Green Lantern 25 vol 3 ... 1st Atrocitus.. Expect a Sinestro Corps/Blackest Night/Final Crisis GL movie
Justice League New 52 30 & 31 GL 20 1st Jessica Cruz... again wait for a GL movie prices will jump like they did for GL 48 kyle rayner
Punisher MAX 31 1st Barracuda.. maybe not cheap for what it is but this villain has to appear somewhere maybe in a series.. he's coming back to comics
Batman 635 1st Red Hood... uhm... how is this not super expensive... Red Hood is a BIG Player in the DCU
Razor Annual 1 1st Shi... guys are crazy for women .. guys are crazy for anime .. put two together...
Dark Horse Presents 10 1st Mask. this book will explode.. guaranteed.. it's a matter of when not if for a movie/show to happen
Other cheap $15-30 keys Witchbalde 1, Flash 92 (Impulse), X-Factor 24 (Archangel), Superman Adventures 5 (Livewire) , Darth Vader 3 (Dr Aphra)
