I got this about 2 weeks ago.... The went fast at the store I usually go to.

TNG Romulan D'deridex Class Warbird Original Series Starfleet Enterprise Original Series Klingon D7 Battlecruiser These were all free 3D models so not perfect and required a little bit of reworking of textures and parts.... The Warbird, which ushered in the phrase "How can we be of help?".... probably needed the most as nothing seemed to line up. It's pretty much a compromise of several models and textures... The Enterprise was pretty complete, but I wanted to get away from the lack of detail on the TV series model (due to series budget limitations as I understand) and add some details, better skin, running lights, etc.... Same with the Klingon D7 Battlecruiser, I added some lights for effect and changed skin color.... It's actually closer to the D7 from the TNG episode where they go back in time....

Thanks. I think the only thing I might do it is change the glass to UV. It's in a non direct light spot so it's not must I don't think.

In looking at framing solutions for slabs, It seems like everything was on the $40 and up range. I found 1 for $20 but it was plastic and didn't have a front pane. It was simply a wrap around.... So, at the frame store, I found these 1.75 in box frames and had the store cut several mats to fit the slab.... The first mat, which is against the glass is cut like a typical mat, a little smaller than the image/slab so the slab sits behind it. The second mat is cut so the slab sits in it. This mat has foam core glued to the back to build a "box" which holds the slab snug, but not too snug that it can't be swapped out. Lastly, there is a foam core backing which builds it out to the back of the frame.... This may not be needed depending on the thickness of the frame. I originally had white backing behind the slab and changed that to black. All done, the cost was $20.00. I used my own mats so that would be an additional charge if someone were to do this and did not have the supplies. Technically, you don't even need the additonal mats, you could glue the foam core frame to the front mat and build foam core spacers to create snug fit for the mat between the glass and back of the frame.

This would be great to see as a TV series.... Was intrigued by the cover. Know nothing about the story.... The review read more like a sales pitch so we'll see.... . I love the cover, but not sure how long this will stay with me. Bought purely because of Spider-Woman. Hope the story is good....

Yep. I had a place that was literally across the street.... a thrift/antique kind of place..... The toy area had tons of comics.... It's all but dried up now.... Lots of comics, but nothing of real value that's worth the pick anymore.... The actual LCS have thinned the herd a bit too. There's a few I go to that "have everything", but it's all high retail as they have the space to just let it sit in a box....
