    Pleased to pick this up as I’ve always been a fan of the Human Torch. This is his 1st Silver Age solo story and the starting issue of Strange Tales featuring the Human Torch. I’m a bit concerned about the staples, they look too nice to me. Wondering if the originals have been replaced. There’s no obvious signs (that I can see) so would appreciate this awesome community’s thoughts, as well as what grade you think it might be? Many thanks in advance!

    After getting FF #48 earlier this year, this was the next Silver Surfer issue on my want list. Always preferred this cover to FF #50, although I will pick that issue up at some point. A bit undecided about whether to keep it raw or get it slabbed, either way I’m not too bothered about the grade as I’m just pleased to have a copy. What grade do you guys think it might get if I do send it in? Thanks in advance.

    It looks like someone has tried to remove it before as you can see where it’s a bit lifted on the left hand side. I know there are some great products that remove stickers from comics but I doubt it’ll come off without any damage underneath.

    I agree that a press would help the grade but was a bit concerned about the sticker. I don’t have any experience in getting comics with stickers pressed. Is it likely to affect the sticker at all?

    Probably the last comic I’m going to post for a bit. I’m going to be sending off quite a few books soon and there’s a couple in my collection that I’m debating whether to send in or not. Big JC fan and if I do get this slabbed then I won’t be able to see him : ) What do you think it might get? Thanks in advance.

    Thanks for the super fast response and link. That was my original thought so I’m pleased so see my instinct was right : ) It was the blue on Vision that made me wonder but that link was spot on with the colour difference, particularly the post of Avengers 87.

    Got a batch of Avengers recently and have just been going through them. My initial thought was this was sun damage but looking at the original cover I’m now wondering if it was a printing error, like a missing plate? I’ve included a snapshot of the original cover as well as my own comic for comparison. Any thoughts/feedback on this would be appreciated.

    Thanks! Out of interest what’s your holy grail? I’m going to be sending in about 15 comics in the next couple weeks and I’ve posted a few of them on this sub. When they eventually come back to me I’ll definitely update my posts and let people know how the did.

    I’m a massive Silver Surfer fan and this has been at the top of my want list for a long time! I can’t believe I’ve actually got it, I’m literally bouncing off the walls with excitement at the moment It’s fairly worn and the cover is faded but I’ll definitely be sending it in, what grade do you guys reckon it might get?     I kind of assumed they might be dropping from the same Silverfish that ate through the book. Just a guess though as don’t have much experience with comics with bug bites etc
