  1. I think it was speculated that they were building a killer fire pit
  2. Couldn't agree more. If it wasn't for me loving Kilgrave I would have given up after the first few episodes.
  3. I tell people it has a similar feel of the movie IT and the show X-Files. Don't see a lot of Goonies in it.
  4. Could be but I'd still watch it and enjoy it better then 95% of shows on the air (Game of Thrones is still king). Show was so addictive it should have come with a warning label.
  5. Great buyer! We worked out a large bulk deal on a set of Famous Funnies and everything went smooth as silk. Buy from me anytime.
  6. Uh-oh, we're in trouble now . . . http://www.ebay.com/itm/DC-Rebirth-Batman-1-SDCC-2016-Exclusive-Foil-JIM-LEE-Variant-In-Hand-/172282917786?hash=item281cdcb39a:g:jdcAAOSwsTxXka~e yeah Of course I grabbed a copy of the Justice League 1 because I thought the cover was cool and didn't get the Batman. Better luck next time
  7. Great time to buy. Buying all the WD 108 low priced 9.8 contenders I can get my hands on. He has a fricking tiger!
  8. Just finished it - couldn't get enough
  9. The intro keeps reminding me of a movie but I can't place it. Kind of a Tron and Running Man kind of vibe.
  10. Thanks Wombat! Never thought to post up a link in here.
  11. Can't stop watching this show. I'm on episode 5 already and may be done by this weekend. Really really good - watch it.
  12. I think age is doing all the work in terms of making her look like that. My wife didn't even recognize her.
  13. Watched the 1st episode last night and loved it - very X-Fileish. Plenty of "what the F is that" moments mixed in with some cool comic book and D & D references. Throw the fireball!
  14. Really not something me your potential customer has to worry about since a competitor does get the data so I use them. If GoCollect is able to get the data and offer me a service for less money per month I'll be happy to switch.
  15. GPA records results from eBay and pretty much all the large auction houses (except Comiclink) Comiclink refused to partner with GPA because they have many new breaking records on sales. My books were sold via Comiclink. One book was sold for over $8K that was nearly 3 times higher than I expected. GPA may be irrelevant. Comiclink may have had great sales that have broken records, but I believe that they refused to partner up with GPA because of their poor record-breaking sales. +1. No one hides their sales data when it smashes old records.
  16. Ahh, yes!! The Empty Child definitely had the creepy factor! (As well as introduced the wonderful character that is Jack Harkness ) Any others in the harkness club? Love me some Torchwood, dare I bring up another series in the Dr Who thread. He was a great addition to the Doctor Who series. Confused the hell out of me when they started in with the Face of Bo stuff but I like his cheeky humor.
  17. Are you my mummy? Those two episodes freaked me out and gave my daughter nightmares for a few nights.
  18. I've been a fan since the mid 80s when I started watching Tom Baker as the Doctor. It would be really hard to pick a favorite but do remember the 1st episode was one where a rich guy gets stung by a meteorite and turns into a giant plant that grows to the size of the mansion. I also really liked an episode where the whole planet turns out to be a vampire. In terms of new episodes I loved the one where the doctor responds to a distress call and it turns out the planet is draining and eating time lords. Especially liked the Tardis being portrayed as a woman.
  19. Girls typically have a hard time selling books on the boards. Obviously kidding. Satan himself could sell hot (pun intended) books on the boards at the right price.
  20. That's a slippery slope. I'm sure pretty much any purchase/sale on the boards could be looked over and someone would find it price gouging. If someone asks you to grade a high grade book that you would not normally sub wouldn't you ask for a premium? Not sure if I personally would go the 2x GPA route but since GPA seems low to me for a hard to find book and considering grading cost.
  21. Stating lies like I was aggressive over a refund when I never did is where you are already going wrong here. If anything, I was embarrassed that THIS book came back a 9.4 and I couldn't figure out what happened to this book. Which is why I threw in additional books before you got turned off to dealing with me on this. And I am not mistaken on that 9.4 tier. But I very much felt this was a 9.6, which is why I was excited to share the picture as a Predator 3 in 9.6/9.8 is a tough book to track down due to the dark cover. You even agreed it looked solid. Somewhere the book took a hit to the spine. If you had said me there was no way you could deal with a CGC 9.4 example, then that would have been the end of it. There is no threatening to force someone to take the book - or else. The forum would shut that person down immediately that applied such negotiation tactics. why not refund him instead of giving him more books? If there was a 9.4 price agreed on then why would a refund be offered unless requested. Even if a 9.4 price is not agreed on then most people would say "want to still get it for half price" and see if the buyer wanted it. No harm in asking, right?

The board allows Hector to strong arm buyers into buying his slabs for 15% less than GPA all the time.
  23. I'm not really seeing what he did wrong the more the facts come to light. He may be accused of being a hard nosed salesmen by not instantly offering the refund but since you seemed to really want the book I can see why he didn't throw that out first when the book came back. I've had one instance close to this where the seller insured a NM 98 would come back a 9.8 and when it came back a 9.6 I took the refund option and we parted on good terms. When you are essentially pre-ordering a slab in a given grade I'd always go with the refund option because you obviously really want that grade or else you would not go thru the hassle of the pre-order.
