  1. I started collecting again a few years back. All I had saved from my childhood years was the McFarlane run (90s kid here). I went the omnibus route for 1 through 192. 193 through 400, I took my time and made sure the books I added were all NM to NM+ I have graded copies + reader copies for (194, 238, 298, 299, 300, 301, 316, 361) Maybe I should keep going past 441 but Id like to make an end before my wife hits me with a blunt object.
  2. Wow, thanks. So Cosmic Carnage is Silver Surfer/Carnage?
  3. Theres a Cosmic Carnage? Id heard about Spider Carnage but WTF is a Cosmic Carnage and why did we need one?
  4. I dont want to stop but I think im reaching the end of my "Spidey money" rope. I may have to settle...for now. Im gonna buy a lotto ticket tonight though, so...fingers crossed!
  5. Thanks. The first series ends at 441 though, right? Id like to just complete that run and im up to 400. Should I just wait until all those books come down in price? I really dont wanna pay "key" money for hyped books. Oh and the Campbell covers...are they variants? I dont wanna collect variants, they make my head hurt.
  6. Can anyone tell me if there are any keys in this run or any issues that are pricey because of hype or whatever? Thanks!
  7. There will be more 9.8s coming. They'll likely have a spine tick but the slab will say 9.8.
  8. Yeah, I have more of a care free attitude towards signed books. I dont even mind if its slightly over graded or has a little SCS. The sigs are whats important
  9. Yeah, thats nuts that they got both the money and the book. I guess in the end, Ebay did kinda side with the buyer then. Thats a diff situation than what im describing though. Im talking about buyers doing damage to the book and then claiming it was not as described. In that case, the seller cant prove the damage wasnt there upon delivery. The seller can point to the original pics and say "look, no damage!" but theres no way to 100% prove the book in the pics is the book they shipped. Ebay will side with the buyer every time in that situation. Thats with raw books. If a buyer really wants to return a graded book, theyll just crack the case and say it was damaged during shipping. Im just saying...if a buyer really wants to get a refund, they will find a way. Its just easier to accept returns BUT make the buyer pay the shipping.
  10. I accept returns but the buyer pays for shipping both ways. I only refund the price of the book. I do this because Ebay will always side with the buyer that files a "NAD" claim and there are dirt bags out there that will simply damage the book themselves and them blame it on the seller. Now, not only are you on the hook for all the shipping expenses but you also get a damaged book returned to you. Its not worth it.
  11. 1st worry = the grade 2nd worry = post grade damage by the encapsulation team 3rd worry = SCS during delivery 4rd worry = a bad press / wavy pages 5th worry = debris inside the holder 6th worry = cracked holder 7th worry = everything on the label is correct 8th worry = newton rings, scratches or scuffs
  12. I have all the comics but havent had the time to read past issue 76 yet.
  13. I think some viewers try and view the show (zombies aside) as a realistic type show where everything (zombies aside) should make sense. Its based on a comic book so thats how I watch it. Z Nation took it to a whole other level but I still love that show too. I forgive a lot of the problems TWD has and try and focus on the things that made it great. Ive watched the series around 15 times now and I still enjoy it. Some scenes still make my eyes tear up. Nothing good happens to/for anyone on TWD. Its a beautiful tragedy.
  14. Whats Venoms 1st app again?...I forget.
  15. Install a camera. Dont place the book where it can be touched. Hire help. This was easily avoidable. Even pharmacies lock up the baby formula. Welcome to America, 2023.
  16. For that, I would not send it back for a mechanical error. Id be too afraid they would damage the book removing it from the slab. Its a damn shame that passed quality control.
  17. Add each one to another slab that youre selling as a bonus book...just up the price $15 - $20. At least youll get some of the money back.
  18. Seriously though...dont go down that road, its addicting.
