  1. I buy a lot of books online and usually dont even check on the status of a purchase for like a week. And I dont think OP is familiar with this place. Just cause YOU say the thread is done...does not make it so.
  2. Not really an issue unless you sell it to someone with OCD. I have OCD...
  3. Thanks. Does Comixology have everything that Marvel Unlimited has? I mostly want to read Amazing Spiderman and X Men starting with the 1st issues. Ill eventually wanna read Spawn too so im thinking Comixology is a better deal for me...no?
  4. How does it work. Do you pay monthly and get access to every Marvel book or do you pay per book?
  5. Love the action figure throw in idea ! Maybe also add a Secret Wars TPB to the collection as well. Collectable and readable! Complete CGC graded Secret Wars collection with bonus action figures!
  6. I just dont think Secret Wars is a set that 99% of collectors are willing to shell out BIG BUCKS to have them all graded and signed. There are so many keys and grails out there to spend thousands of dollars on. Im the type of collector that would wait for the most coveted issues to be scooped up and then Ill pick and buy 1 from whats left. I dont have a signature series in my Secret Wars set and it really wouldnt matter to me which signed issue I came away with. At the end of the day, Id have one issue in my set signed by Shooter and Beatty and thats pretty cool. Id prefer Zeck though.
  7. Nice set but youre gonna have trouble selling them in 1 listing. There may be "that guy" out there thats interested but I dont think many collectors want that many signatures for one set of books. Dont get me wrong because I do love signed books but I only need 1 per collection. 1 McFarlane sig in my Spawn collection. 1 Kirkman sig in my Walking Dead collection. etc Good luck!
  8. Can someone please educate me? I hear these words..."full back / half back - mylites" and I have no clue what you all are talking about. I just use bags and boards.
  9. Damn so not only do you get hammered with shipping and selling fees when you sell it on Ebay but also by CGC when you score a high grade. Thats a lot of lost profit, paying middle men.
  10. I started the process of cracking my books out of the slabs. I know, I know...money out the window but IT FELT GOOD. CGC labels in the bag with the book...game over...im done with graded books. BTW, I also cracked a few of the other company's slabs and they actually stick a slice of plastic inside the books instead of the slip of paper that CGC says they put in theirs. I say it that way because half the CGC slabs I cracked did not have the paper in the book.
  11. Im gonna check it out soon. I never watched it. Is it available on dvd? Right now im binge watching a bunch of animated series' with my 14 year old daughter. The Batman Animated Series, The Spectacular Spider Man animated series and The X-Men animated series. I buy them on dvd or blu ray though cause no internet in the house. We watch 2 eps of each after dinner and its been a blast. On deck, we have the complete Adam West Batman TV show on blu ray and we are super excited to start on that.
  12. WHAREHOUSE FIND ! RARE ! UNREAD ! HIGH GRADE ! CGC IT !
  13. ! agree with you about slabs. Ive examined them to the point now where I know the defect of each graded book I own off the top of my head. I even have a mental "hate list"... ...as in "I hate that 9.6 because it looks more like a 9.4 to me." Its maddening!
  14. Oh, I definitely mean transferring the 200+ slabs out of my house. My raw collection is more manageable at around 1500 books. But, at this point, I dont even own a comic box because all my stuff is in filing cabinets. I guess I should buy some and keep em stashed in the closet.
  15. Hey, man, im only 46 and I already use a huge magnifying glass to read my comics. I dont "really" need it yet but Its so awesome.
  16. I know that most folks hate them but I switched to resealable bags a few years back and I really like them.
  17. Well, Ive been thinking about cracking all my slabs because it will be easier for my kids to move my collection when im gone. Not the same thing, I know, but considering what Ive paid to have them graded/slabbed...still a pretty dumb idea to crack em, especially when you consider that I have reader copies or TPBs for all of em. Maybe ill crack em out when I get older. In your case, I dont know man...what if you want the book at the bottom of a pile? What if you accidentally tip a pile over? I know youre not planning on selling but you should preserve them for the next generation.
  18. Howdy! Call a few law firms in your area and ask if they have any ceiling high file cabinets they would like to throw out. If they only have 4 drawer file cabinets, you can stack them. Most law firms are going paperless and it costs a lot to have those huge file cabinets taken away to the dump.
  19. Do these stories involve Marvel Zombies or is it some other type of outbreak? Thanks!
