  1. Your supposed to tolerate it man! If you dont then your a bully who is destoying the pokemon community. Its only ok when im offended but if you get pissed off by me acting crazy then your the problem!!!!
  2. I dont think it even goes this deep man. All people have to do is respect boundaries. Joking around is one thing, but when people are getting hyper agressive and saying off the wall ****, its like kind of common sense to know what you can say and not say. Me saying the water energy guy was nuts for accusing CGC for revenge grading him with no evidence, ya I think thats justified. Thats a fair thing to say to someone acting irrate. Saying I got a brain injury over a difference in opinion is not ok. There is no justification for saying something that harsh.
  3. Lol its related to the cost of living. People can buy homes in most of Florida while nobody can in Southern California. Im really surprised PSA never thought of moving to like Nevada or Arizona to where operating is much cheaper.
  4. If your a rational human being, your fine. If your some crazy person then yes you should be worried lol. I dont know where these crazies came from but im moving on from them. Whats hilarious is that they havent moved on from me. I wouldnt be shocked if there was a matty part 3 since they just love talking about me so much. And them being harsh, no its more like they grade correctly and fairly. PSA just sucked when it came to grading. They were all over the place and had no consistency. Then again, they hired crappy talent since they are located in Southern California and you cant really get good talent when your only paying 30-40k a year in a high cost of living area. CGC being in Florida makes it easier since they dont have to shell out tons of money to get people to come there since Florida is a way cheaper place to live and people can survive off 30-40k there.
  5. They arent censoring free speech. Some people were just acting insanely ridiculous and they had to close threads. It all started with a discussion over if grading is worth it or not if your going to resell the cards. I made a statement stating that, no its not really worth it since if your just going to hang on to them, whats the point? You can just buy binder, screw cases, etc. and keep them in shape that way. People kept arguing that Im running their hobby and their enjoyment, which makes zero sense but whatever. Then this one guy comes in saying that I have a learning disability and that im a stupid person for what im saying, while simultaneously missing the point that there are people out there who dont care about selling their cards and grading is just a waste of their money. I told the guy thats completely out of line and reported him since he was being so aggressive over such a mundane thing. Then some trolls got offended (yes offended, not sure how) and started making threads about me and how I am scum of the earth and that I deserve to be called stupid n with a learning disability just because I said some people were acting stupid and for calling some a karen. I didnt want to respond at first, but then I made my case. Turns out, nobody listened and continued to bash me without reading anything that I wrote. It became an us against me thing to where somehow Im the one whos a horrible person and everyone else is fine. Then the dude who was talking **** to me went even further and said that I had some sort of brain injury and if I applied for social security benefits, if he saw my case (since he said he used to work there) that he would deny me. Yeah, all of this over someones opinion about Pokemon. A guy who treats people with brain injuries like garbage would want me to be homeless and hungry just because I disagreed with him about Pokemon cards. And he seemed perfectly ok with saying all of this like its something he does on a daily basis with no remorse. Then another thread got made saying "matty part 2" where the guy says I need to take more "heat" while not knowing how to spell and it was finally closed. Yes, that all actually happened lol. And yes, there are some very sick in the head people on these boards.
  6. I just see a ton of people moving on. The world to where people arent home 24/7 is completely different than a world to where people can do whatever they want. There is a very possibility of modern stuff completely tanking and the old stuff taking some big losses. There is also a world to where new variants of the pandemic keep coming out and this stuff goes up forever lol. Im still betting on a big decline. I cant see a world to where we wont go back to the days of Rebel Clash boxes costing $90 upon release and distributors having to beg people to open accounts.
  7. Pre-pandemic, the most valuable cards in most boxes were tournament cards. Im sitting on 100 zacian v for a reason lol. I dont see how it wouldnt go back to being that way once tournaments start up again.
  8. I been reading elsewhere how with PSA that its virtually impossible to scale as much as possible. I dont think CGC will get that bad since they deal with much less products, but it makes even more sense why they cant meet demand. Its not actually possible to do so. There isnt enough card graders out there to fulfill demand. And im a very strong believer in that we are in a massive bubble that will burst once vaccines roll out and the world stabilizes. Once people arent home all the time and young people move out of their parents place, the interest will plummet. Its not going to die or anything like that, but Pokemons fad status will die off and go back to being how it was in 2018-2019.
  9. The thing is we dont know the impact of added staff and expanded facilities will have. There is alot of info that is probably kept internal that they cant tell us. The days given out are probably conservative since in the past, they always have been conservative. Ive gotten standard orders back before 30 days before they switched it back down to 22. Before the huge wave of grading, everything came back way earlier than what was listed. And with current bulk and economy from early december, its been around 60 something days with turn around times. This means that January orders will be probably 70-80. If more staff comes along, it could start dropping. I assume they are aware of the people they have backlogged before making these decisions. I guess we will just have to see how things play out.
  10. I dont think the CEO sees it that way lol. At the end of the day, all the grading companies want as much business as possible. And with accounts, its very easy to open multiples and bypass loopholes. Do you realistically think if you were in charge of CGC that you would do something like your saying? I think what Ron says makes the most sense in that they have to just charge more money to cut out all the modern junk. Make it to where grading these Amazing Rares or $10 hyper rares isnt really profitable. There probably is way too many people who just want to flip newer cards that are submitting and this is probably one of the better solutions that doesnt limit business.
  11. They kind of are doing that though. Telling people there is a 100 day wait is basically saying that. And they are going to have more staff and space at some point. Heres the thing. This company has been the leader in grading comics forever. They didnt get there by being stupid. And Im trusting their decisions on the cards since they didnt get this big by accident. Could they be making dumb decisions and someone could be doing a better job? Maybe. But Im going to go with my gut and think that they have the best judgment in this situation. I could be wrong and maybe the people in charge with this stuff are making bad decisions, who knows but considering that my standard stuff is coming back each month and the work being done is very good, I just dont have any reason to second guess them. And some people need to realize that the people making these decisions, they arent just doing them for no reason or have no idea what they are doing. There is a small percentage that people on here could be right, but I havent seen any evidence to make me think different.
  12. Of course its asinine. Dont take the bait lol. The guy thinks it takes forever to get back a 1st ed charizard. It was hurting my brain just reading some of these peoples responses and now anyone who sounds a little out of it, I just ignore.
  13. Yeah I mean its annoying that the bulk is being forced back, im not saying your complete wrong. Its just the people who flip out about it, its just getting hillarious . I personally didnt mind paying upfront since at some point the money would be due and its kind of nice not worrying about it. But CGC now waiting to charge is probably causing more submissions since if you dont have to pay for it right away, then people will sit there and dump 1000s of modern cards at their doorstep. The new facilities and workers should speed things up. I just dont see TATs going up forever since its not realistically possible. They dropped standard and higher services, but then they went back up again. Also with the vaccines coming out soon, I do see these cards dropping a bit in value. Once people are out and about again, I do see a good part of the world forgetting like Pokemon like its 2001-2002 all over again. Ive always warned people the dangers of Pokemon's current fad status and that not everything will go up forever. There will be some corrections across the board and some increase in value in tournament cards again. Im sitting on Crobat and Zacian Vs since their days are coming lol.
  14. Im not sure if I already told you this since Ive told people this before, but no, do not grade your cards unless they are very valuable. You dont seem to understand the point of grading. The point of grading is to get a professional opinion on a card and have it encapsuled for resale at some point. If your going to take your cards to your grave, either buy screw cases, or find some trophy shop to make you labels. Your wasting your time and money on grading if its just for a personal collection that you never plan to part with. You dont need a professional company to tell you how to enjoy your cards. Im sorry that you did not do the research before hand, but its a service that is mostly done for resale purposes. If you want stuff back quicker, it costs money. If not then you will be stuck behind all the people trying to grade multiple $3 shining fates cards.
  15. Bulk takes way longer to grade. Most people arent sending in 100s of cards through standard since its not really worth it at 20 something a pop. You also have to keep in mind that people are not as savvy as people like yourself. Lots of people mindlessly watch the internet and anything with a Pokemon label on it gets submitted in. Modern cards are kind of a problem. Especially with the hidden fates, shining fates, champions path, even vivid voltage, all these newer sets just have tons of gimmicky cards that people think are worth grading but arent. Shining Fates was hands down the most overhyped Pokemon product of all time. Cards are tanking since the set sucks. Most if it is forgettable Sword & Shield stuff sprinkled with some Kanto ones and all that stuff is being sent to grading. Cards that are not even a month old are being sent in stacks to grading companies. That is a pretty big problem since all this new stuff is brand new. Its not like old stuff that has had attriion and the minty stuff is hard to find. The market is flooded with modern mint cards and now the grading companies are flooded with them too. Looking at your stuff you seem to have the right ideas. Id probably wouldnt bother submitting the unlimited rocket cards unless you feel like waiting through bulk. Not sure if I think grading a Charizard VMAX with standard makes it worth it either unless you got it out of a pack. I been seeing the sales on those be kind of janky unless it hits a 9.5.
  16. Where do you think a surge of bulk is coming from then? Do you really think that a majority of these bulk orders are just the end consumer or do you think its people who see easy money on the internet and dont know what they are doing? From what Ive seen over the internet, yeah its just people who dont really have a clue on how to make the most money off grading. People jamming the system up with tons of modern cards that are barely worth anything. If a bunch of people in 2020 thought buying out stores of toilet paper made any sense, then it wouldnt put it pass me if the majority of bulk submissions are just modern sub par cards. Just live and learn that stay away from bulk and economy. If people wanna rant and say how CGC is robbing them and how this is the worse thing that ever happened to them in their life, then they can do that. Ill just be sure to stay away from those people lol. We live in a world to where nobody cares what anyone thinks. At least when it comes to mindless complaints that dont benefit anyone.
  17. If your relying on bulk submissions to make money, then that is a personal problem since its not CGC's responsibility to make people money. People agreed to have cards put in a plastic container and get a a professional grade. Thats really it. .Grading is just one part of my business. Its not the only way I generate income and if people were reling on flipping cards to make money, well then thats a bigger issue on its own. Some people need to be honest with themselves that them going all in on grading cards is just a crappy idea. Most of these cards shouldnt be worth what they are even selling for in the first place since its just shiny cardboard that has no real application. In a perfect world, this stuff should be worthless. I used bulk and economy services for cheap older cards and when I open new cards and want to recuperate money on them. At this point, Ill just stick to whats old and valuable while selling product sealed. Its just that simple of a solution. Increased TAT's dont really bother me and shouldnt bother 90 something percent of people. The people who are getting mad are the people who are pissed that the easy money is gone. Yeah, god forbid you have to make an effort now to make money off cards sides cracking packs and sending them off. Life is tough. Yes, its MIDLY annoying that bulk is taking forever, Every day I look at my received I get slightly irritated. And then I take a step back and think "if this is my biggest problem in life, then im doing pretty good". But like I said on another thread, the bulk is overloaded by people sending in way too many newer cards. I seen lots of posts of people sending in $3 shinys from shining fates. And again, people can submit whatever, I dont care what people want to do with their lives. But theres consequences to it. Its not like you can send these people infinite cards and think that has zero impact since it does.
  18. Ya know I been seeing alot of social media posts of people sending in way too many modern cards and that could be part of why TAT's are so jammed up on bulk and economy. Lots of people jamming the system up with Shining Fates and Vivid Voltage or whatever other modern stuff that they see easy margins on from reselling. And lets be real, thats mainly why people are coming here in the first place. They arent the end consumers. And yeah, I can see why TAT's are what they are when people are sending in stacks of modern stuff. People can do whatever they want, its a free world, but if people keep doing stuff like that, then the bulk service is basically unusable. I dont have huge issues with bulk and economy going up since my business doesnt rely on flipping modern junk. Easy solution is just use standard or above and dont grade every single newer card. Im not having any issues with standard or higher services and they are a bargin compared to the competition.
  19. Do I really need to point out that you dont send a 1st ed Charizard through bulk or economy, or do you just not read before you post lol? Just stop using bulk and economy and there isnt any issue.
  20. They are working on first week of december right now so probably soon. I been getting standard orders back each month so its not like nothing is getting worked on. Keep in mind too that cgc did lower standard turnarounds at one point, which means these increased turnaround times are conservative. People that have been getting december bulk back only waited 60 something out of the original 79 business days. My standard order was originally 30 business days but ended up being 23 i got it back in. Everything is coming back at some point. Just have to be patient. Some people wanna freak out and work themselves up over first world problems for no reason. Its just a waste of time to do so.
  21. Sure your not. And im an astronaut whos typing this while floating around in my spaceship near mars.... Nothing is stopping you from going to work there and turning things around if your so certain that you can do better. Or you can just keep making topics 24/7 about how tat's keep extending. Your life.
  22. They are hiring. If you think you can do better, then you can move to sarasota and prove us all wrong....
  23. Its just pointless to complain. Yes, its midly annoying that wait times have increased, but what do you wanna do about it sides talk about how terrible it is and how you would do a way better job? No offense but I doubt nobody on here would be handling this situation better. Half the people on here would probably quit the company and ball up in a corner. If your having issues, then im sure you can email cgc asking for their manager.
  24. It could be a factor in increased tats. Maybe charging up front kept more people at bay. Regardless, ya im done with bulk lol. At least for a while. No more buying cheap old ex cards or lv.xs for the time being. Probably not going to crack any modern product since without being able to grade it for months is dead money.
