  1. Im not moaning. Again, your clearly under the influence of something or just emotionally unintelligent since that is not at all what Im feeling. Im keeping it 100%, something that alot of people on here arent capable of doing since they are so scared of what other people think about them. I been told alot of BS in my life and I could care less what a bunch of strangers on the internet think about me. Clearly, you dont though since you keep spamming gifs like some tik tok child and care about your internet image like it means anything. The reality is that, no CGC is no capable of handling the storm that is coming. The TAT's on bulk/economy keep getting pushed back, unless you pay the tax of $12, which I did and its whatever. Im not mad about it, im not thrilled, it just IS WHAT IT IS. Im merely making a statement and have no emotions about it. Either that TAT's are going to shoot up like crazy or there will be another unofficial tax coming. There is no universe where everything is going to continue the way it is. CGC can think they can ignore what happen with PSA, but they cant. Welcome to reality to where your feelings dont matter. The reality is that things will be forced to change and CGC does not sound prepared. You can argue how you feel or what you think all day long, but those are the facts.
  2. Your writing sucks. You went on a rant about how everything is my fault and cgc has no responsibility over everything and for me to get lost. You dont know how paragraphs work or how to get straight to the point. You cant write without a bunch of ranting. Long writing doesnt mean good writing. CGC is making unrealistic expectations at this point. They are now the only game in town doing bulk at 9 bucks and walkthroughs that are "30 days" for only 20 dollars. Its not realistic at this point. And no, its not scalable in any universe. If PSA cant do it, I doubt CGC can do it. You cant throw more workers and think it will fix itself. But yes ill happy see myself out. I dont think most normal people want to be around a bunch of bitter old men who can only talk through gifs and cant hold a conversation. There is a reason this guy is what people think of comic book people.
  3. Are you drunk? I didnt say anything of what your talking about. All i read was a long rant of a butthurt dude who doesnt know what hes talking about.
  4. The issue is that its virtually impossible to scale this type of business. You cant scale card grading, pure and simple. Since card grading is such a niche skill, you cant just hire infinite workers. And the thing is that the card industry isnt going to grow forever. These companies are going to have major layoffs at some point since its not something that is going to grow indefinitely and there will be a crashing of the bubble. Pokemon was in a bubble during the 2nd generation and when 3rd gen hit, a bunch of cards took a hit and lots of businesses closed shop. Its fad status officially died out and its going to happen again at some point since like any fad, it doesnt last forever. Like I know Paul is just a customer support rep and he only gets so much info from management, but Im shocked he hasnt just quit by now since behind the scenes, I cant imagine it being pretty. Its going to suck if you live in Sarasota and rely on mail since their mail system is on track to being really screwed up. And CGC not addressing this, yeah we are looking at a really bad situation pretty soon. And the mail opening being from early March, like I dont see how they think thats normal. But whats crazy is that, its going to get 10x worse than where its at now and with no response, yeah Im 100% glad I paid and pulled out. People arent listening to me and thats fine since its their life, not me, but wow Im so glad I paid the unofficial price tax and got my stuff back LOL My bulk/economy from february would have came back around 2050 if I didnt.
  5. To be fair, Paul is just a customer support rep and not a main decision maker, so its not like what hes telling me is really what the company means. The work CGC does in itself seems fine. Im not in love with their methology behind how they get the grading score (since it seems like a bunch of made up BS) but overall, service itself is fine I guess? Not really much different than any other grading company really. Most grades seem kinda consistent but then some are just extremely subjective. In terms of how they are handling orders, yeah its making no sense. The fact that I can pay them 12 more bucks and have an order that wouldnt get done in 3-4 months get magically moved to grading and shipped 2 weeks later, is extremely sketchy. There was basically an unofficial price spike it seems like. And when they are giving out lower grades and their high end stuff isnt hitting similar values to PSA, yeah I cant see myself running it back with this company. Like dont get me wrong, I dont like PSA at all since I dealt with them and its miserable, but at the same time, if they are offering the most money resale wise and both these companies are headaches to deal with, well I guess then Im just going to go where the most money is if customer support sucks all over. Also CGC only grading Pokemon/MTG and having Sports being a seperate company is another reason I wouldnt go back. Im personally getting sick of Pokemon outside of selling it and am starting to shift more towards Yugioh since its criminally undervalued and the crowd is less drama in general, but CGC isnt adding Yugioh anytime soon, or if they did then its another 2 years of TAT LOL. So I might start hunting down only high end Yugioh and Pokemon and paying 75 with SGC. 1 week turn around time and no BS, they were on point. Even with a walkthrough with CGC, it took me 3 weeks to get a 9 on a Charizard VMAX Shiny that had zero issues and would easily be a 10 or a 9.5 with another company. It just seems like the boat has sailed on CGC. They started off good but like anything, they were ruined by social media.
  6. im not acting tough at all. i made a reasonable suggestion and your being offended by it. what the hell is wrong with you? i feel like your projecting a bit since im not getting my panties in a twist over someones opinion while your raging out for no reason. you can do whatever dumb stuff you want. im trying to be helpful but it seems like people enjoy being cheap and petty, so suit yourself. go back to your circle jerk since you seem to care less what anyone thinks and nobody is changing your mind.
  7. Bulk Received 12/29 Status: your screwed I asked paul if how cgc will respond to the influx of new business from psa. he said cgc will hire more people and not care what psa is doing thats exactly why i paid to cut the line for my 5 other submissions. a dumpster fire is in the making
  8. if you use a cgc photo and dont pay $10, the cops will show up and they will put you behind the bar. im a licenced lawyer who graduated #1 at u of phoenix, so pay me 10k and ill bail u out in case u screw up
  9. Fine dont listen to me. Common sense offends you so Ill stop pointing out the obvious.
  10. I get that but if PSA, the largest grading company in the country cant scale or take on the massive volume of business, how is CGC going to do so? Is there going to be increased pricing or TATs? Since I cant see business remaining the same with the current market conditions.
  11. I paid to be bumped up from economy to standard. The order was worked on and shipped back to me within a week. The other 5 orders I had got moved over to grading/quality control and will probably be done by next week. Not sure who told you about how the queue system works, but it seems like to me when you give CGC more money, work magically gets done. Your pile that would sit there for 5 months is now done in 2 weeks. They should have never had super low prices to begin with. 8 dollars to grade a card within 20-30 days, or even 50-60 just sounds insanely unrealistic now a days. I guess 100-110 days sounds more realistic, but even then, when they are now officially the only game in town, still sounds too good to be true. Its more like CGC is making unrealistic expectations than anything. Its like how my neighborhood said they would give out pizza to everyone the other day. Yeah that sounds nice, but with 100+ apartments in the neighborhood, it just didnt make sense and it wasnt a shocker that people didnt get pizza.
  12. Just pay more and cut the line. I know it sucks, but its better than waiting another 5 years to get your cards back. The price of grading went from 8 to 20 unofficially basically. 8 is only if you dont care if your cards dont come back this year. And I cant imagine what is going to happen now with the billion new orders that are about to hit the system. 20 dollars will look like a steal within the next few weeks lol.
  13. He said standard not bulk lol. Standard has been taking me around a little over a month at the moment to get things back. But with PSA shutting down and now SGC upping their pricing, CGC will get slammed and TAT's are going to be affected, so 3 months is probably accurate.
  14. They never changed it in Japan. There was never another printing with new artwork. Again, you dont realize that in US releases of anime or TCG relates things that alters occur all the time. Its not some pokemon exclusive thing. Nothing was banned. Its a gimmick made up to sell a bunch of crappy japanese cards. You been lied to your whole life. Enjoy your profits but know that the art wasnt banned. A change in localization isnt banning something. Its literally that, an alteration for a different audiance. There is nothing special about it since its a common thing done in the industry.
  15. Its common for alot of anime to be altered to US audiances and same with TCGs. Yugioh was literally rewritten for a completely different demographic. The world banned isnt close to appropriate. None of these cards had reprints and never will regardless of what their art is. Its just all made up and a myth like poke gods being under bills house or mew under the truck. You do you. I dont care how you make your money. Im just saying that an artwork that had no US release and was never banned from japanese tournaments or was never planned to be reused in the first place was never banned to begin with.
  16. The artworks never had plans of reprints in the first place. Outside of evolutions, supreme victors and dragon majesty, they dont reuse or reprint old artworks from the earlier generations. They are just as banned as base set blastoise in that they dont reprint old artworks in the first place. Moo moo milk is never going to be in standard ever again, regardless of its artwork. Same with all the "banned trainers". They had zero plans to reuse the artwork and they were never banned from tournaments, so its all a myth. Its a bunch of BS made up to hype up old garbage. Anyone who pays money for it isnt bright to began with and has zero comprehension of how card production works.
  17. They arent reprinting those cards in standard ever again. Most trainers from the 2nd gen arent making any appearances in tournaments anymore in the first place since trianers are now supporters and the rules behind them have changed dramtically. Im thinking someone out there is peddling a bunch of lies or collectors are just dumb since what your saying makes zero sense. There was zero plans ever reprint cards from that era to begin with. Im not screaming anything. Im just stating the facts. Its not my fault that there is a large amount of people who want to live in a different reality. What is actually banned in the Pokemon TCG arent any of the cards you bought. Its just a bunch of made up stuff. If you want to capitalize on a bunch of lies, be my guess. I personally think its too cringy for me to bother.
  18. They were never banned in the first place. Thats a myth. Cards being edited for american release doesnt mean the japanese version was banned. Japanese cards were never tournament legal in the united states in the first place. In Yugioh, they edited a ton of cards for the american release. Cards like call of the haunted, spell binding circle, monster reborn, dark magician girl, etc. were all edited from their japanese counterparts. That doesnt mean the japanese cards were banned since they never were allowed in american tournaments in the first place. And they werent banned in japan, so its just a bunch of BS in the first place. Its no different than the poke gods from the GB games that were just rumors and just made up stuff. And scyther had 3 printings. It was a regular rare and a holo and it was reprinted in base set 2. It wasnt expensive. Most of haymaker was rares, uncommon trainers, and the only foil was hitmonchan from the starter deck. The Pokemon TCG has never been expensive in its existance. Most of the cards get reprinted or are never high rarity. Most tournament cards never get expensive since they get reprinted into oblivion.
  19. Didnt you just buy a bunch of "banned" cards? Which btw arent banned. I hate when people say that since its total bogus. Banned cards would be like Ghetsis or Sneasel. They never banned Moo Moo Milk or Sabrina's Gaze. They changed the artworks before they came to the US. They were never banned from tournaments. Slowking was a banned card. Shaymin EX is now a banned card in extended. There was no point where they banned Misty's Tears or Grimer in Standard nor were the artworks "banned". Lots of stuff marked towards kids in the US from Japan has had artworks redid.
  20. Too soon? I know Paul your doing your best and you probably have very little say over the decision making, but any idea of whats going to happen? Will CGC get their mail boxes destroyed or is there some plan in place for this?
  21. Nah. They are going to take your cards and mail them to me. Sorry you didnt read the 20 pages of TOS, but according to the majugaly tengo line sector g, it says that customers who mail in their cards today will get sucked into a wormhole and then have the cards teleported to my house.... Nobody knows whats going on. If I have to guess, either TAT's are going to be crazy long or they will shoot up their prices. I paid to cut the line a while ago since I had a feeling that pulling out made the best sense.
  22. I own a Yaris. Its a boring car lol. Wouldnt say its my favorite. Its reliable, it does what it needs to do, but its not exciting in any universe. Its not the car of my dreams nor is it something that people should aspire to. I dont know how you can brag about toyotas with a straight face. Hondas are at least semi luxury and are cheap. But nobody really brags about Hondas either. I dont feel like you really played the game either since the haymaker deck, the tier 1 deck of the game, wasnt expensive. It was mostly rares and starter deck cards. You like many kids like myself just didnt know what we were doing. The only semi expensive deck was Rain Dance Blastoise just because you needed 4 Blastoise from Base Set. I cant think of any haymaker cards that were remotely expensive. The Pokemon TCG has never been and will never been an expensive TCG. Its the cheapest out there. Stocks like anything is something you need to learn. Im not a stocks expert, but on average, even the person with the least knowledge can find a way to get 5-10% returns. And thats what you got with Pokemon. 5-10% at best. Thats extremely average. Thats why I face palm when people think Pokemon returns are crazy. With inflation and the opportunity cost, they are just average with more work involved. Nothing to write home about what so ever.
  23. I own a toyota. Its a boring car but it is what it is. Its not exciting but at the same time its not worth bragging about. But my point is that your returns are on a similar level of the stock market and you think its impressive. With the stock market, its clicks of a button. With cards, you have to package them up and ship to them auction house and wait to get paid. Its just not as impressive as you think. You could have bought some stock and had similar outcomes. Thats why im not very impressed. You could have worked less and gotten similar, if not more money. This is why I cringe when people talk about Pokemon as an "investment". Stop. Play with the cards, have some fun with them, learn the game, whatever. But please stop pushing it like a stock. Please stop bragging about your OCD lead to you making money. Dumb luck, nobody should do it, run if you read this. It hurts my brain and thats where I will leave it.
  24. This is much as a hobby as watching netflixs. Can we stop calling it a hobby lol? Hoarding cardboard isnt exactly a real pastime. Im sure people will disagree and call me dumb, but lets try to keep it 100%.
