  1. Does anyone know if archival tape can safely be removed? If so, would it grade out as a universal blue label or would it grade as a PLOD? Thanks!
  2. Congrats on the sale Fish. You did very well with them!
  3. The whiteness of the 9.2 copy is blinding me as well
  4. I just learn to let it go and let them think what they want. It's not working then, it's not working now, their minds have been made up.
  5. That copy also has brittle pages so might be one of the reason why it went for so low.
  6. Would be interesting to see how much the 9.0 copy at CC will sell for and how the price compare to the previous CL sale.
  7. I think the ASM #1 CGC 9.0 is worth around $70k. So yeah it sold cheap. Nice grab for the buyer.
  8. I wanted at least one of those early Spidey books as well. They all went for strong prices. Couldn't justify bidding anymore since practically all are readily available.
  9. But that's how auctions where no matter where you go. Some books sell for record prices, some sell for below the last sale. It's all about timing and the "flavor of the month" book..
  10. Holy cow Tec 140 CGC 6.5 ended at $22,250!? Must be the white pages..
  11. I should've kept my mouth shut . Here goes...
  12. Well, the Tec 29 ended at $22,750 and the Tec 31 at $25,250. I have a feeling that both books went to the same high bidder. Both seem to be lows for the grade due to brittle pages even with the nice eye appeal. Who says PQ is a non-factor?
  13. If the winning bidder actually does this, I want the covers
  14. I think this collection can easily clear at least $8 mil. Might be the most valuable collection ever offered up for auction in one time?
  15. Exactly! It can be a buyer who does not know full well about the restorative practices done by IGB thinking that it is just another restored book.. And yes, the cover does look like a xerox copy unfortunately. I wonder what the book was previously before it went to full resto.
  16. I'd say close to the $240k. Maybe around $250k-$275k? I just think that books in CGC slabs sell for more than ones in a voldy slab. Something I don't quite understand.
  17. Welp, the Voldy AF 15 9.0 sold for $240,222.. J-Dog was the closest at $240k. I think it would have sold for more in a CGC slab.
  18. Highly doubt the book can even land in another type of label. I think the purple label is the correct one for the work done.
