  1. That's true, but now I have to get the coinage and find the right copy. This is why I bought lower to mid copies I wouldn't be able to spend that kind of money on higher grades for all three.
  2. once considered a soft book. now il never get one nothing soft about Bat 1. Not if Joker's boner has anything to say about that What copy of Bat is the boner story Read my signature
  3. Well like I always say, If you are unsure what to buy, just buy everything. At least your bases are covered.
  4. once considered a soft book. now il never get one nothing soft about Bat 1. Not if Joker's boner has anything to say about that
  5. Now I wouldn't say that! Hulk smash puny Flash! Hulk smashes everyone!
  6. I think that once the show starts tomorrow, this book will show much more interest and will likely have a spike in value. The Mohawk copy will break the last price it sold for guaranteed. There is still so much potential for this book. I think it will be neck and neck with Hulk 1. I can't wait for tomorrow for the premiere. it's gonna be epic!
  7. Nice. Would be a shame to break them up. -J. As of now, I still have my Hulk 1 but hey I am still looking to upgrade sometime (thumbs u
  8. Looks like this thread needs a bump. My SA keys trifecta shot
  9. I never had a problem with the last few Comicconnect stickers I had on my slabs. They peeled right off without any problems or leftover sticky residue. The Comiclink sticker on the other hand are still the same as before and tough to peel off without an added agent.
  10. I love Daybreakers as well and he was fantastic in the movie. I think Hawke would be a great actor for the role.
  11. Fire away Valiant. Any conditioned book is great to look at... For the most part.
  12. Sorry for the picture quality on my 48. It looks better, than that. I sent in my 45, 46, 49 and 50 to get graded.
  13. It went for more than $15k. -J. Looks like that CGC 10 copy sold for a bargain with the way prices have been for this book
  14. Maybe they can cast one of the Dr. Who doctors
  15. UGLY! What a waste really. I'm surprised that bidding has been strong
  16. +1 I'm with VW and I'm sure majority would say the same thing too. AF #15 or any other keys should be left alone in terms of getting it signed. I truly believe it lowers the eye appeal and value of a major key. Hope you change your mind about it, but hey it is your book. I just care so much about beautiful books like this to get defaced by a signature.
  17. Yeah, I'd sell that 9.9. Now you have some extra $ to spend.
  18. I really don't think there is a difference between cr/offwhite vs. offwhite and offwhite/white vs. white. I've had these PQ's interchangeably on the same book. There is no way paper can downgrade that fast by only a couple months or so.
  19. Wow very nice set of books! Congrats!
  20. I was talking to a good friend of mine about SA Marvels vs. SA DC's. And he said flat out that SA DC's suck and not as great as SA Marvels. I told him that there are still good books in DC, but to me, are not as good as Marvel overall. Sure if I were to show him a high graded Showcase 4 or B&B 28, he would be ehh so what. But if I had an AF 15 or Hulk 1 in high grade, his eyes would light up. At least this is what I've been getting in my generation. Can't say for the older and younger folks out there.
  21. Owners are gettin' out while the gettin's good. I would argue that there is still more upside in the book overall, particularly with the movie still on the distant horizon. However, super-high grade versions are hard to predict - particularly if more show up. I agree with you. This book has not exceeded its potential. It's a great SA key. There just isn`t much demand at the high end for SA DC. Wealthy SA collectors are almost always Marvel collectors because, guess what, Marvels were what they read when they were a kid. If a wealthy collector buys a six-figure SA DC, who`s he going to show it to? All of his wealthy comic collecting buddies are almost all guaranteed to be Marvel collectors. When he shows them the B&B 28 that he just spent $120K on, their attitude will be or or . He`ll say "but it was incredibly hard to find, there`s only 3 in the Census!", and they`ll go "Really? That`s, uh, fascinating. Now, back to talking about how difficult it`s been to upgrade from my 9.6 DD 7 to a 9.8 copy..." Believe me, I speak from experience! Good point. Never thought of it that way
