  1. Thanks fellas! Loving the colors on this copy as if it just got printed out of the presses. Centering close to perfect, but I can live with it
  2. Winning bid was $7877 so who won it? I think the book would grade around a 4.0 because of the spine tick marks, large triangular crease top right corner and back cover on upper left side. The scribbling too would lower the grade as well. Price is decent. If it dos grade a 4.0 or higher unrestored, then buyer did well.
  3. Time for an update on this thread. Back in the club
  4. Great pick-up on that one. Rarely do you see bound volumes of key GA books like this. Even if they were sewn instead of glued together, they look cool as one piece. I hope you won't detach them from the binding.
  5. Sweet book Adam Where did you pick that off?
  6. Yes CGC was open today. I called about a couple invoices
  7. Blastoff comics in North Hollywood. My favorite store and best stock in vintage books.
  8. Well, this thread turned sour fast. From my own personal experiences, I have never had a problem with Matt and with CCS. He has been very professional to me and I highly recommend his services. I've had some big books in the 4-5 figure range pressed by him and they all turned out well. Thanks Matt!
  9. Bilichek got one on Carroll that's for sure. The play before that, the Hawks were anticipating Bilichek to call a TO with about 30 sec. Left on the clock. That didn't happen so the Hawks were scrambling what to do next because they i think had a play down already.
  10. I'll admit it, I missed the boat on this one I had several chances to buy a 9.8 copy for around $750 a couple of years ago, but was too focused on my GA and SA collecting
  11. Nice SC #22 M Definitely a rarity coming across a white paged copy!
  12. It's up to $4000.00! Little rough to have that book graded as a 0.5 no? Both covers are present, no missing pages, etc. I would think this book is at least a 1.0..
  13. How many IH 181 hoarders are in this thread?
  14. Challenge accepted ! I Gator's challenges..
  15. For a while they had that interior/underground area that catered to comics, I haven't seen that set up since they renovated the Rose Bowl going back 18-24 months or so. Well, I guess it really has been that long since I've been there last
  16. Thanks Robot Man for the inside (thumbs u I guess I'll have to go back to the Bowl flea market soon. I hope to find something there. I went to the last LB show and I did buy a few gems. Got some great deals, just my 2nd time there. Can't wait to go back this year. Mike Carbo is all over the place. I saw him one time at a local comic shop which I think closed down in Pasadena. I think he was co-owner of the shop that time. He wanted to buy my X-Men #1, but didn't take his low buy price.
  17. Glad to have you on board Robot Man and thanks for sharing your treasures Looking forward to seeing more I haven't been to the RoseBowl flea market in about a year and a half. Are there still vintage comics to be had for a good price? . I know there was a covered area there where it's strictly comics, toys, and some video games. Not sure if it is still around, but I didn't see any good deals there.
  18. Great deal going on with Gamestop and Microsoft Store. Buy used PS3, XBOX 360, PS4 for around $1 and go take them to a Microsoft store to get $10 credit for each game. Limit 5 per person. Expires Jan 4th. Unless of course you have old games you want to dump already..
  19. Just sold my FF 45 CGC 8.0 for $1700. So yes this book is heating up
