  1. Yeah I think it would be a great idea if CGC does notate golden age books with multiple printings as first print, second, etc. They do this for modern books, why not for golden age books? WATA, the video game grading company, does this when they grade sealed video games (at times they would also state early or later prints). First print, I'd say most of the time, is usually worth the most so serious collectors would definitely benefit by having that notation on the label.
  2. Looks like someone is selling their prized collection . Beautiful set of books!
  3. I think it's because of the trimming that placed this book in a purple holder. Which brings me to the argument as to why trimming is considered restoration. From what I understand, restoration is basically something is added to make the book or collectible look better so it can be brought back to its original state. Trimming is removing paper so it shouldn't be considered restoration. I think trimmed books should have a different colored label like the color red
  4. Superman #1 CGC 1.0 sold for $90,000. What's kind of interesting is that this book first sold in March of 2022 for $141k. A year later in March 2023, it sold for $101k. And today of course in March sold for less. Maybe in March of 2025, we will see this same copy up for auction in CC again
  5. Sure enough after the Blue Bolt #105 book sold on CC, a CGC 2.5 copy sold a few minutes later on ebay for $2,500, which is a more reasonable price than what the 3.5 sold for.
  6. There was no BP included. Sold at $1.8 mil
  7. What do you guys think of the final hammer price?
  8. Yeah we lost a legend in the anime world. He has touched so many youngsters lives including mine. I uses to enjoy watching all the Dragon Ball cartoons, collecting the figures and playing the video games. Had so many fond memories. He will be missed!
  9. strong price for a CGC 3.5 with light tan-offwhite pages. Things are looking up again.
  10. I've seen a Marvel Spotlight #5 CGC 9.6 I believe with a fake CGC label. Mike Ploog's name was spelled wrong on the label.
  11. Looks like the only thing original are the staples?
  12. This should be the fastest growing club, but it's really the slowest 😆
  13. Great pickup Ben and welcome to the club! You made a wise decision!
  14. Moving forward, I expect CGC to tighten up their comic book inspections before assigning a grade. These latest incidents/mishaps from CGC cannot happen again. They probably need to re-train everyone from the time they receive a package from a customer to shipping out back their property. Step by step, they have to instill stricter guidelines to follow. Security cameras are a must for each department, which I've mentioned before. PSA has had that set-up for a few years now after several past customers (including myself) complained that their cards were damaged during the grading process. Sure TAT's will be slower, but in my eyes, will be well worth the wait. I do not want to second guess buying a CGC graded comic, thinking if something was missing or if the grade assigned is accurate for that book. I've spent a lot of money towards CGC graded books in my lifetime thinking that each book I paid is all good. I'm hoping CGC can announce soon what added security featues to the slab will be done to prevent bad actors from compromising the slab by switching books and/or labels out. Time will tell if any such improvements will be made.
  15. First ever .4 grade!? You can flip it for a million if you wanted!!! Probably the only one in existence!
  16. Whooa, very shocked by this news! Rob Reynolds is a great guy and absolutely a jack of all trades as a consignment director. Heritage gained big time by their newest acquisition.
  17. Gimme that Ferrari over the Action 1! At least I'll be getting a lot of attention from hot chicks vs nerdy dudes!!!
  18. I like this copy better than the KC one personally. The colors in this one do pop and white pages to boot. I wouldn't be surprised if somewhere down the line this book graded higher.
