  1. I disagree with this because vintage sports cards are still selling pretty well and at prices I wouldn't even want to touch if I were a collector. The modern cards have taken a slight dip, but in my opinion still too high. I think the better value right now is NES/SNES sealed video games because prices seem to be back to their pre-covid levels as well as TCG cards.
  2. He could also be a long time comic book collector in which he chose to remain private about it? Just speculating of course but I would think Vincent and Stephen would prefer to hire someone with some background of the hobby.
  3. Sad that no one wanted to keep it long term . Yes and I do remember the book being a 3.0 at first then got the half a point bump up. The ole press/clean bump up didn't work for profit this time around because it was fresh off our minds that it originally was a 3.0
  4. I have a hunch that Rob from RedHood Comics will go strong and win this book
  5. I remember that copy. It was a beauty! Didn't it upgrade to a 5.0 or something?
  6. Yeah and the Tec 33 has been around the block a couple of times. I believe it sold twice before within the last 2-3 years? I passed on it due to the name pen writing (I'm very picky). Still a great book to have.
  7. Something about this book that is so gruesome. I mean check out that bent neck !
  8. Damn that's pretty crazy!? Everyone who lives in the area, stay safe! Hoping this storm calms down soon
  9. In other news, Michael Jordan's "last dance" game used jersey just sold today for a record $10.1 million
  10. The CB** Tec 33 1.8 sold for $24k. I've seen this book before from a couple of dealers either online or at a show. I just know it went below their asking prices back then, which was around 3-4 years ago? If re-graded by CGC, would probably get a bump down to a 1.5, hence why I passed at that time.
  11. Chamber of Chills #19 CGC 8.5 sold for over $50k.. Last time an 8.5 sold was just a few months ago for just $25k . Must be the Halloween season bump
  12. Yeah this is ridiculous! Why can't we choose which shipping company to have our books shipped back to us. We are paying for the shipping fees, so we should also have the decision on which one we want.. This just makes me want to today
  13. I was just thinking about that and was about to make a similar post about it
  14. Those were sold right around the peak. The Cap 1 promise has the multiple pedigree price point going for it as seen with all the Promise books that sold. Since then, a correction in practically all eras is happening. Of course there will be a few exceptions with some books, but majority has been in a leveling off period or a downturn.
  15. Yeah that is a good price for your 6.5! Heck, I paid more for my 6.0 earlier this year , but it is a very nice looking 6.0 that looks more like a 7.0. Hatrik just sold his 6.5 too! Looks to be $37k?
  16. Yeah this one did very strong! I was expecting under $300k especially with the interior lightening which I am not a fan of
  17. Some small corrections. Prices for both of these went high too fast like other GA keys. The last Cap 1 CGC 5.0 sold for $170k before this one in CL. The Bat 1 sold for right where I imagined it
  18. I hope Crain and Mr. Black Flag can show up in a Jerry Springer show. I'd be in the live audience if that ever happens
  19. I just wanna know if the book will actually get paid. Since CL does not report to GPA Analysis, we may never know
  20. Yeah I did hear about that one. One of the latest ones involves PWCC, no wonder they don't sell on ebay anymore
