  1. I have that same Masterpiece Sunstreaker and have not even transformed him yet. He is still left in alt mode
  2. Would be interesting to see how the public will view CGC as a third party grader of trading cards. I think it's a smart business move because there are a lot of cards out there that still need grading whether sports or non-sports cards. Being into cards myself, that hobby is booming, probably more so than comics. You have your typical collectors, hobby shops/sellers, gaming collectors like Pokemon and Yugioh, box breakers who make tons of profit with their business, etc. I just hope that it will be a different branch set apart from CGC grading strictly comics, wouldn't want TAT's to be even longer if the same graders are also grading cards. Yea PSA and BGS are the big and well-known grading companies that do business with cards (sports and non-sports). But, for the last maybe 5 years or so, there have been a lot of card manipulation where both grading companies would grade the card as all original where in fact, the side(s) may be trimmed to achieve a higher grade or a jersey was replaced by a more attractive patch on the card window to achieve a higher sale price. All of which have no qualified labeling or any type of labeling to say that the card is no longer original. If CGC can truly figure this one big problem out, I think they can be the new leaders in card grading.
  3. Are you looking at the bottom of the back cover? Is that where you suspect the removal? I have attached a picture of the book with what I suspect are color touch removal. The red circles are less obvious about removal, but I believe they were. On the back, the bottom holes seen appear to have had paper removed as well as the top semi-circle out I also included pix of the book when Fishler had it in 1993 from the goldenage comic con vid thread
  4. Stocks are very volatile right now and a disconnect from what's happening in the world
  5. It sounds like CGC needs to get into the sports card business. Jerome That would be something lol..
  6. Book also has a lot of color touch removal. May be what's driving more bidders from bidding.
  7. The CL Exchange had a really nice looking 4.5 copy with a buy price of $55k, but it is no longer there.. Wonder what happened.
  8. Yea same here.. But beware of fake Jordan cards and/or fake PSA slabs too! Also PSA and BGS are unable to detect any micro trimming. This is what's driving me away from higher end cards.
  9. I hope you meant 9.5 . 8.5's I believe are selling for around $6k.
  10. I think his 86 Fleer card is overvalued, being pumped by the "The Last Dance" series. I saw this similar spike up few years ago, probably by a "buyer's group" who artificially bought multiple PSA 9 cards for all-time highs probably within their inner circle. The following year prices went straight down back to more realistic levels. I think it is happening again now. If you want the card, I suggest waiting it out until it dips.
  11. Ehh grade is too low to fit in my collection. Easy pass.
  12. Btw, the Adventure Comics #40 CGC 7.0 sold for $55,200.. CC has a copy available, same grade and old label for $46k buy now if anyone is interested.
  13. Luckily because SA are not as rare as GA. I also believe most SA heroes are more in demand than most GA heroes. Edited 2 minutes ago by Batmanis#1 Yeah, I agree with the above. Part of the reason is how these same SA heroes have appeared in movies, TV shows, ongoing comic book titles, etc so they have more exposure to the masses. On the other hand, heroes like Sandman, Spectre, Hourman, Blue Bolt, etc are only known to actual people in the hobby.
  14. I'm guessing that there are roughly 50 raw copies of Action 1 and Tec 27, and more confident that the number for each is under 100 raw copies. With social media, the buzz around valuations for mega key books, Google and other search engines, word of mouth, etc. I feel that the people who are not comic collectors/dealers and no nothing about it or don't seem to care but have a copy would likely sell for the money. In contrast, those who are in this hobby and have a raw copy would likely keep raw until it's time to sell. I suppose the major players who have an Action 1, Tec 27, etc. raw can easily be accounted for. So best to start from there with a count.
  15. You are not the only one scratching your head about that one, Must be the new entry level price for a 4.5
  16. One thing's for sure, AF 15 will always have strong interest
  17. Told you guys so 2 days ago that AF 15 was going to rebound in price upward . Didn't expect it to be in a huge way for that 4.5 copy that sold for $66k . Maybe the winning bidder thought it can upgrade to a 6.0 or possibly the Stan Lee signature is hard to find. In any case, this would be an outlier for sure. The 2.5 copy that sold for over $13k in the same auction with marvel chipping did better than other 2.5's sold earlier this month in the $12k range, still way under the record prices AF 15 fetched back in 2018 where 2.5's were selling anywhere from $16k-$19k. Gonna be a slow climb up to those prices.
  18. What year was this? Incredible wall books and video, I enjoyed it! Thanks for posting it I hope they didn't leave any fingerprint grease on those books after eating
  19. It sure was. Yes, the $260k sale was from CL . AF 15 will rebound from its recent lows, might be seeing it now.
  20. I could be wrong maybe one single copy someone just had to own went for $260 000 in 2017. Again that happens one person pays way way to much years before it actually is worth that. Edited 1 hour ago by Batmanis#1 No you are right that someone paid $260k for a CGC 8.0 with a CVA sticker on it, but then after two months of holding the book, the seller decided to flip the book and it sold for less @ $235k. I think that was a strong price then and now.
  21. Even if the 8.5 copy was unattractive, it sold for a steal of a price. The last recorded 8.5 sold for just under $65k in 2018.
  22. Now that's a whole lotta Supes 1 graded given how rare it is to find in any grade . I wonder if most of it are just single pages
