  1. I had some BA marvel books with fingerprints in the white on the back cover and they cleaned off; they looked to be dirt. Oily fingerprints or ones in coloured areas are probably there to stay.
  2. It depends on the fingerprints and where they are located.
  3. Yeah I would think it is only part of the equation but in conjunction with the slabbing of books making the covers more important and the focus of instagram on likeable content which Cole has in spades by being so bold and bright I think that is probably a big reason for the price rises. But I have nothing concrete to go on. That is just wild speculation.
  4. This is a long way away from a 6.0 imo. I'd put it at around 3.0 mostly because of the water stains.
  5. It is on its way to me now so I don't have it in hand yet. I think it is a bit soft. I have noticed this issue sometimes has very deep red ruby flames and deeper browns or most of the time has lighter browns and orange flames.
  6. Hey all One of the best presenting copies of this book I have seen. Your thoughts are much appreciated!
  7. Following Matt Baker with some more but this time a sweet flamethrower cover:
  8. I don't think it is possible to determine upgrade potential from those pictures. Do you have grader's notes? Or scans?
  9. Also I never claimed that the magnitude of the error for the Horrific and MS5 are the same. All I'm saying is that my bet is that they are both mistakes; I find that much more likely than some unannounced grading policy that lets conserved books get universal labels.
  10. There is some speculation in this thread that books with tear seals and reinforcement can now get universal grades is this true or are the books posted just labelling errors?
  11. The simplest explanation to these anomalous labels is that they are mistakes.
  12. Nope. The work on the book clearly falls within the conserved label. It is not an 'extremely small amount of colour touch'. And unless you can point to specific statements from CGC that they have expanded the books which can get a blue with resto your claim is just speculation.
  13. Sick thread. Any East Totem West White Rabbit posters or Janis Joplin and the Holding Co? I'll be keeping an eye out.
  14. The stain is reflected in the grade. If you are happy with the price why not?
  15. Very happy to add this one to the pile. I've been loving Atlas war more and more recently.
  16. OP you should probably read the posting rules. This thread violates several of them.
  17. Powell Black Cat page, The second to last panel is a killer.
  18. Yeah my assumption is that the cover and first wrap were likely detached. It would probs get a conserved label on resub so at least it wouldn't be a PLOD.
  19. Probably not. I'd like a copy but I am wary of bidding on a book that is mislabelled it might go for more than FMV because someone thinks they are getting a universal copy.
