  1. How about GL #141- 1st Omega Men. Maybe if they actually do something with the characters. Also, the Batman multi-pack reprinting's are usually never found for a premium in shops but I would assume these are way less prevalent in the marketplace.
  2. I gotta say that I read #1 just the other day because it was in my reading box from my last preorder from months ago. I loved it, and probably will get the last couple of issues before I go on another hiatus from comic buying. Being broke while in school sucks &@!!$.
  3. I just finally read #1 earlier today from the pre-order issues I got as my last batch of comics for awhile now. I took a break from constant schoolwork to finally read this, and enjoyed it immensely. I wasn't sure if it was going to be cheesy but it wasn't; they play off the creep factor very well indeed and the art by Francavilla is pretty awesome. Too bad I can't afford #2, though it seems to be pretty sold out already anyhow.
  4. Those are good #'s though regardless. I just don't see why the cover A of #5 outshines the B cover by so much. They are very similar covers, and would have been a 50/50 split to my knowledge. I might go ahead and list one of my 1-5 runs, less #3, that I never got.
  5. Loved that last episode of the first half of the season. So glad that homeboy got wasted. I think she should have let him bleed out and turn though.
  6. I have been gone for awhile so excuse me if this has been posted already. Was surprised to see this issue with multiple raw sales over $40. Of course I have cover B of this book. http://www.ebay.com/itm/IDW-Teenage-Mutant-Ninja-Turtles-5-Cover-A-1st-print-RARE-NM-/301024556686?pt=US_Comic_Books&hash=item461676368e
  7. The 2099 is not an easy find in the wild for sure. At least not in all my years of comic buying.
  8. Very sweet box. Can I suggest adding some old repurposed handles for carrying though? Would round it out nicely, and well, make it easier to pick up too.
  9. I definately saw the potential of this book a few months back when I pre-ordered a few from DCBS. I only got 3 as there were many other books I wanted at the time. I always hate when I have to tell myself "I told you so!".
  10. Implied scarcity is a powerful tool most don't use when selling "hot" comics. If you have stacks, don't try and push them all at once and show pics of the hoard.
  11. Sorry if this has already been posted but I've been out of the shops and here for awhile now. I did have some things on pre-order and this book was one of them. Seems to be a comic worthy of this thread. http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_odkw=dexter+%231&LH_Sold=1&_osacat=63&_from=R40&LH_Complete=1&_trksid=p2045573.m570.l1313.TR9.TRC0.A0.Xfarlaine&_nkw=farlaine&_sacat=63
  12. Oh okay, I saw the last time on I was on there that they had a set of all villian books. I can't tell you if it was 1st prints though. I thought it did say 3d cover set.
  13. DCBS has a discount sale for ALL of them right now. It might be the way to go if you have the funds.
  14. I always have the one guy listing something after me with like ten in his BIN, and selling them for real low. Even if said seller had just sold one copy a week earlier for way more $. What is the pont in underselling yourself anyway?
  15. Total bummer when you destroy a book/books doing the same thing you always do when handling them. It just takes one small oversight, and boom, you have throw-aways. I've done it so many times I can't even count. Fortunately, nothing of high value like those. Sorry to hear of your loss.
  16. I have no idea why this is a key (I'm new to comics outside of knowing DC and Marvel) but wow, that is an amazing cover and an awesome book! Congrats! Thanks! Comico was a much beloved indy publisher for us children of the 80s. Primer 2 was THE issue to own from them, and has remained a fan favorite even after 30 years. It was the first appearance of Matt Wagner's Grendel, the character equivalent of, I guess, Wolverine for them. All early Grendel appearances were going for big money back then. But this issue was the crème de la crème. And yes, very cool cover. Black border makes it especially difficult to find without spine tics & creases. Tiny print run as well. All adds up to being a key issue from that era. And some people think a spine stress automatically excludes a book from 9.8 status. There is a stress right on the FC of this.
  17. I also have Kiss Kids on preorder. I predicted some hotness in the speculation thread about a month or so ago. That and Itty Bitty Hellboy. Kids comics can be great sleeper books.
  18. Halo is way too popular I think to fly under the radar enough to be a hot book IMO. The first mini just sits on ebay for like $15.00 or less. They all sell for pretty cheap. Usually video game comics are good for store owners as they get an influx of sales from casual customers who don't really read/collect comics on the regular. They are smart to order a lot of them on the cheap. Besides a few titles like TLOU and Uncharted, these books don't have much legs on the secondary market. It is the ones that no one really orders that do well if they are actually good reading too. Who knows, maybe 10 years from now people will want HG copies, and they will be HTF due to going into disount bins for a decade. My
  19. Titan also puts out A-1 correct?? I bought the 1st issue of this and it was solid as an anthology. Problem is, for me it is too easy to passover the next issues of these type of comics due to several stories to try and follow. None of these books are high printed so this company could put out a serious sleeper at some time.
  20. Or maybe I'd actually sell something on ebay for once. I always just set my start price at the min. I'd take for it with free shipping. That way 1 bid= okay. Lately I just don't sell shizzle with this method even at average selling prices.
