  1. That's what I thought. I emailed him to ask what color the holo/lettering is. He responded and told me he'd let me know later on when he gets home. On a sidenote, went to a monthly comic flea market thing here in town where 2 guys are selling off thousands of comics for $1 a piece. Found a Web Of Spider-Man gold holo. Also found a GI Joe comic 2nd print. I know some of these are mythical in which a 3rd print was done, but not a 2nd. It is #11 2nd print. Also a 29 3rd print. Don't know much about these later printings for GI JOe though.
  2. Got a pic? I've never seen one before. Not to mention CGC doesn't have a listing for it in the census, and Mile High and My Comic Shop also don't have any listings for it. Yep, I am thinking of bidding, but that yahoo will prolly just throw it into an envelope and send it on its way. Gold 365 Unless that is a trick of the light. Odd that even Overstreet doesn't list a 2nd print gold for this book. That book stood out from the other 200 copies on ebay right when I saw it. Truth be told, I don't think I've ever seen one either. Like I said, it looks pretty gold to me but maybe the camera's white light balance is tweaked.
  3. I also saw a listing for a NM #1 3rd printing. Never new that book had a later printing. There was no 2nd print listed making me believe the 3rd print is some kind of promo/toy insert/multi-pack book. They are out of stock though.

  5. I did get two copies of #1 2nd prints last week though. Both in the 9.6 maybe better range.
  6. I have no hate for them , or any other overprinted 90's stuff. I was 11 or 12 when those books were dropping. These books will always have a place in my heart, but seeing them sell for dumb amounts when we know there are still gajillions out there to be had is just hard to swallow. Another 20 years from now maybe.
  7. They slowed down after 4th of July. Start them at .99 and see what happens. Do not start them at .99
  8. There is a guy in my city who owned a small old school type comic shop that recently shut down. He is planning on reopening in a better location sometime though. Anyhow, he was telling me about plans to have a burn-off of way overprinted 90's books. He was totally serious too. He wanted people to bring in X-Force 1's, NM 87 yadda yadda, and throw them into a bonfire just for laughs. And, to reduce the population of such books just a bit.
  9. If that book ever breaks the $5-10 selling point due to a movie rumor I'll have to take a sabbatical from comics for awhile.
  10. I'm still needing to read 3 and 4. They are just waiting patiently for me. I haven't been in the mood to read books the last few days for some reason.
  11. I said earlier in this thread that people were coming into my LCS looking for the book and leaving when they had none left. The regular cover is still a cover price book, but when non-comic readers are flooding into a store looking for a book, said stores not having them, they will have to go online. When all the big retailers have sold out then ebay will probably see a price rise soon.
  12. If you are talking speculation at cover then unless it's a low print variant I can't see TWD being worthwhile. As something to read and collect it's great but the speculation on it has left the building and the fat lady has sung several songs since #95. For shizzle
  13. That's because neither have gone to a 2nd print yet.
  14. My daughter will like it. She's 25, a hippy-dippy-trippy, and likes to drink until she passes out. OMG, the boards are full of qoutes that are too funny to me right now.
  15. I am glad I went to that shop yesterday between my restaurant shifts just to cherrypick 2 for myself. I have 4 coming on preorder, but I don't have any clue what they will look like.
  16. Dexter #1 already sold out at my closest LCS. Saw at least two people come in scanning the D's section of Marvel, hurriedly walk to the counter asking for it, and then walking out just as fast after the clerk told them it was sold out. Get ready for a flurry shortly methinks.
  17. That cover is pretty cool. Not $39.99+ cool though. I like the first issue quite a bit. Not mind blowing, but not horrible either. The art is just okay IMO though.
  18. I might be interested soon. I see 3rd Eye has them on ebay for $12.99 free shipping. They are touting them as nm/mt, but with my luck I'd get 9.0's. I'll let u know, thanks.
  19. I don't normally do variants, but I'm definitely looking at getting a couple of the 3rd Eye variants. They have that cool carny poster look.
  20. What about 'em??? Superman Unchained has a huge print run, ditto for Batman. The only way I see any potential on either of these is a 2nd printing with a different cover that is underprinted. I know some on here would disagree, but sometimes 2nd -later printings will beat out the 1st's when they maybe have a cooler cover, and are harder to find. Completists are the ones who have to have every cover. They drive the prices.
  21. The 2 copies of Dexter #1 I scooped up today in between my shifts were both 9.8's. The rest all looked pretty good as well. I have some more coming on pre-order from TFAW, but got the two from my LCS because I don't rely on anybody to send me 9.8 candidates that way. I just hope they don't get damaged on the way.
