  1. Thats a bummer but if karma exists, you should have something positive on the way Ya, like maybe Midtown will get back to me on the books I want to send back to them because they were ill packed.
  2. I don't buy too many variants but I decided to pull the trigger on a few #1's of this from DCBS. Alas, my order was allocated and I get none.
  3. By the time I pack one book in a padded envelope for shipping I've already surpassed the weight limit for first class domestic. I pack well on all books though. I will do it for outside US shipments.
  4. I just bought a The Last of Us #2 2nd print this past Wednesday myself. It clearly states 2nd print inside indicia, and also the UPC ends in 2. Voila, 2nd print.
  5. Also saw this Afterlife with Archie on DCBS. I know Archie has a huge following, but most new Archie stuff does nothing on the secondary market. This book might have some crossover appeal with other types of collector's though. Archie
  6. I'm thinking the Superman Unchained #1 Director's Cut could be good down the road(speculating). #1 was printed heavily, but this version probably not nearly as high. Couple that with the $5.99 price tag which alienates many buyers and it could have legs later on.
  7. Are those all original sketches on blank covers???
  8. I still have to read #4. I flipped through it and it looks interesting. I'm not gonna lie when I say I find the book a little confusing. Maybe I just need to read the trade when it drops and maybe it'll make more sense to me.
  9. the funny part is, the book isn't that good....Was there another tv or movie announcement about watson and holmes I missed? Haven't seen the book, but if the it's not that good inside, maybe it stands to be 10x better than the cover.
  10. I love when creators find this place. We need more of that! WTTB Chris.
  11. So who says lightning doesn't strike twice??? This kind of thing never happens to me, especially getting last six issues of the Maxx over the weekend for $1 a piece, then finding this lowly book in my LCS at $3.50. Before you ask if I feel bad, the answer is no. This shop routinely sells overpriced/graded stuff to uneducated buyers without battin an eyelash. So when I was perusing the Goon backissues, look what I found. In a bag with no board. I have looked it over and it is complete. To my knowledge, this book has never been reprinted. Anyhow, enough talk.
  12. I don't even think they have gone to a 2nd print yet on #4 have they??? Kind of soon to be out so quick.
  13. Cover to #12 is awsome! Love me some Skottie Young.
  14. Just got caught up on the series. I read #3 and 4 tonight and have to say, this is turning into a gem. I really loved the sketchy two page spread explaining the history of the "dreaming" in #3. Keep up the good work on this book-I'm all in!
  15. I think collected editions help sales sometimes, not hurt them. If someone really likes the tpb/hc it might spur them to seek out the floppies. If the books are already sought after it won't hurt if more people are trying to win the auctions because they loved the trade.
  16. I disagree. If the seller makes a claim that the book is a 9.8 grade in the title and description of his auction and he has any sort of history on ebay with feedback to back up his grading abilities then someone will pay a premium for it. Obviously it depends on the book and the market at the time. Look at issues of the last of us, a seller on ebay was moving nm/m copies for 45 dollars, nm copies have been selling for around 30. I hear ya. I post super clear scans back and front of books I claim to be 9.8-or most books I sell for that matter. Grading from a scan is hard as we all know due to the fact that small flaws that can only be seen from an angle cannot be seen. I have sold books for premiums on ebay with a stated 9.6 to 9.8 grade, but it is spotty. When I sell on the bay or here, most say I am very accurate or even a little too conservative on my grading. I have never had a buyer tell me I overgrade for sure.
  17. #30-9.4+ 31-8.5 32-9.2 33-9.2/9.4 34-9.4+ 35-9.2/9.4
  18. I think this might count as a score. All $1 apiece. I don't collect Maxx, but I knew these were pretty hard to get, especially #35.
  19. I ask myself this all the time. Problem is, not many people on the bay or elsewhere are willing to pay much of a premium for a raw book you say is a 9.8. Even if it's blatantly clear that it is.
