  1. I haven't lost any yet, but they have destroyed 4 out 6 purchases that weren't packed well, including Brzrkr 1 Mico variants. They looked like they were in fantastic shape too.
  2. Next batch is a little more serious, no gambling for 10’s. I expect most of these will be 9.8’s, except for the NM #98 and X-men 221. They were both dollar bin issues. Should still see some decent gains there. Thanks for checking out my post. The wife doesn’t find this as exciting. I tell her it’s like the stock market but cooler.
  3. The last of my hopeful 10’s came in. Again no 10’s but I did get a pleasant surprise. My x-men 4 received a 9.8! I was hoping mid 9’s. Jim Lee recently said you can expect to see more Wildstorm characters in DC. Hopefully that’ll help these wildcat issues in value.
  4. Spawn books are about to get another injection of value. Was the perfect time to get them evaluated.
  5. I’ll be happy if I get 8.5. 🤞
  6. I got this issue out of the $2 bin about 6 years ago. Thinking it’s time to get it pressed and graded. Biggest problem is the tanning at the top.
  7. Nice collection! Where did you get those frames for the graded books?
  8. I have a copy of X-men Alpha and two Generation X 1's. They look great, but if the light hits them at the right angle, you can see very fine scratches here and there. They don't cause color breaks, you can't feel them, and you can't see them in a photo. I'm wondering, does CGC downgrade chrome and foil covers for this? They look like 9.8's otherwise. I can post photos, but you can't see the scratches in a pic, so probably won't help.
  9. My office is still a work in progress, but we did finish my son’s room a couple years ago.
  10. Half of my first batch came back. Just felt like sharing. Most of this batch was unread books so I took a gamble on a possible 10.0. No luck, but happy with what I got.
  11. Twenty five from my first batch have been graded. No 10’s, but twenty 9.8’s. Of the five with deductions, 2 had rubbing and 2 had finger prints. All I knew but wanted to see how they grade them. The last one was a 9.6 of Image Zero. That’s my only disappointment. Was obviously hoping for a 9.8. 15 more to go.
  12. I'm looking to sell my Collector's Edition. It's real close to being a 9.8, but there's a slight crease in the middle that pressing should be able to fix. If I sell it raw, I'm getting dollars for it, but if I get it graded with the batch I'm sending in soon, then I can probably make $30-ish... if it's eligible for pressing. So I'm with ya, it might be a waste of money. It's real close.
  13. Is this book eligible for pressing? It has a sticker-like feature on the cover.
  14. Agreed. If it starts getting anywhere near the price of the book minus cgc fees, I just start looking for the graded version. And if my current books don't look like high 9's, I don't buy more raw versions. I try catching a graded version as soon as they start flooding eBay, hoping I can get one for about 40-ish, so all the work of sending it to cgc is done. Hoping to do this with the Alien 1 Gleason variant. Mine has a damaged corner and I can't get one locally anymore.
  15. I hear that. I recently stopped buying raw books with the hopes of a high 9. I managed to get a couple worthy of sending to CGC, but I got a few that were clearly not high 9's. Sad part was that a couple might've been but the seller didn't properly package the books. This even happened to me with the Brzrkr 1 Mico variants. The books are 1 of 500 and they put them in an oversized box with no bubble wrap or form. One of the issues had damage on every page. That was disappointing. So now I'm just buying graded books or readers from now on - books I don't care about the grade. I guess I could buy from guys that handled their business well, but it's rare they'll have more books that I'm looking for.
  16. They’re working on separating them. A lot of them have separate categories but takes time to get them all.
  17. It allows you to load your entire collection on your iPad or phone and gives you updates on recent sales and Go Collect fmv.
  18. Grumpy. Just sharing, dude. It pulls from various sources, like Go Collect, which pull from eBay. But makes sense if they haven’t separated this newsstand yet. They’re working to separate more and more of them. Like Spawn 1 newsstands have their own category now.
  19. According to CLZ, Spawn 53 is blowing up. I have no idea why. My 9.6 has gone from $16 to $220 in the last week or so.
  20. I'm currently a premium customer. If I upgrade to elite, do I get another shipping box for free and another $150 in credits?
  21. Yes. 40 books. Does that make a difference? I didn’t see anything that said it would be slower. They’re currently still on step one.
  22. Good lord. My books have been out for 62 business days already. I just found out that I still have 80-90 more business days to go! That is painfully slow. I sent my books out at the end of November and I won’t get them back until July! I could almost create another human in that time. There has to be a quicker way of doing this.
  23. Yep. Have CGC press and clean it too. It’ll probably go up in value.
  24. I like more bang for my buck. I’d buy 9.8’s of: Uncanny X-men 221, 244, 266, 282 and 283. X-Factor 6. Strange Academy 1. Spawn 1 and 9. New Mutants 87 and 98. That should run you about 3k to 4k. Good chance the X-men/mutants will all take off once they hit the MCU.
