My all-time favorite!

All right. The room is finished! I’ve posted some pics already so I apologize for a few repeats but there is new stuff as well. A lifetime of collectibles that finally have a place of their own.
-
Ah, I thought they had a date already set. Thanks for the heads up. I guess I'll just stop looking then. Seems to go by faster when I'm not paying attention.
-
Mine has only been received. I saw turn around time was 6 to 8 weeks for the full treatment. So I think I have another month to go.

I’m always looking for a good read, but not 700 pages worth. I’m curious, what comic book doesn’t get enough attention? Which one would you recommend to another comic book reader? If you’re looking, for me, it’s The Incredible Hulk 454. I randomly bought this book at a time when I wasn’t collecting, and I was pleasantly surprised that the writing was on par with the art. It’s no Kingdom Come, but it’s good and just random enough that some collectors might’ve missed it.

I just put up the first one. Really easy. Just slide the mount on and hang it on a nail. When they get back from CGC, X-men 1 (autographed by Lee and Williams) and X-men 5 will go on each side of 4.

Lets see your books that have 50 or fewer copies on the Census

I might have to try this. Thanks for sharing.

Btw, shipping was free on the comic mounts, so apparently there’s free shipping after a certain amount.
-
I have not mounted any to the wall yet, but it looks pretty simple. You put the comic in, tighten the locking screw, and then I was going to hang it on a nail, like a picture frame. I just need to figure out how many I need before I start putting holes in the wall.

Thanks! I bought a display case online. Unfortunately, I don’t remember from whom. If I get a chance, I’ll look it up. The lights I bought at Costco. I knew I wanted some and stumbled upon these while shopping. They’re great. I can control them with my iPhone and the brightness and colors are completely customizable. The stands I found on eBay. They’re one of the cheaper ones but might actually be the best choice because they can double as wall mounts too. I need about 10 more for my walls so I can put up cgc books.

Almost done completing my Jim Lee and Marc Silvestri X-men collection. I just need Uncanny X-men 239. -
My books arrived in Sarasota on June 9th. They were “received” today, August 13th. They separated the 35 books into 3 groups. 7 at the old prices. 25 because they can’t ship more than 25 in a box, and that leaves 3 by themselves. The majority would’ve been at the old prices but the site couldn’t handle the traffic right before the deadline. 😒

I hate it when artists feel the need to shadow the tip of the nose. Makes the character look like a cat. The tip of the nose is never shadowed like this. It’s one of the shiniest parts of the face.

I’m sending in another batch and looking to send in several I can sell, so the time doesn’t bother me. Just looking at my options and their guidelines say you can’t send in this kind of book, but I see there are some graded.
-
No. That’s a stock pic from CLZ.
-
Are we still allowed to get these graded? It could be deemed offensive and rejected. My copy is either a 9.6 or 9.8, so I’d like to get it graded before I sell it.

Brief update. My books, batch of 36, reached Sarasota on June 9th. They still don’t show as “received”. But their system does show they got the box. Sent in a Jim Lee ss book two weeks ago. It was “received” in 4 or 5 business days.
