Just arrived.

My Jim Lee book just moved to grading. Hoping things start moving fast now.

Just ordered more of the pieces (cyber Monday sales). All I will need is the remote. Actually, I'm going make two, one for my son's room too.

The final touch. Upgraded my chair.

My boxes are starting to takeover my room. I need ideas. Let me see some cool ways to store them or make them part of the comic room.

Not that I see, but any smart phone can easily pull up their page. I use my phone for most of my posts on CGC. I bet it won't be long before Go Collect creates one. Apps are pretty easy to set up if you have an establish web site.

Go Collect now allows you to load your collection and will send you updates. CLZ is in trouble if they don't come up with something good.

So I recently bought this book on eBay. He had it advertised as a 7.0 to 7.5. I could tell it probably wasn’t that high, but I was hoping for maybe a five, so I got it at $55. Turns out someone had tried gluing the cover around one of the staples. So the cover is attached by only one staple. What grade do you have for this thing?

If this pace carries over to mine, that means I have about another month before I get mine back. TAT says I have 5 more months. lol

Just bought the Jae Lee run on Captain America. Want to study more of his stuff as I get back into drawing. Working on a Kang piece now.

Thanks. I looked for one beforehand, but didn't see anything. Their app download also says they're no longer working with Go Collect. Any news on Go Collect starting an app or their prices?

CLZ recently removed their feature that updates comic book values. It looks to me like they're getting cut out of the loop by Go Collect, which wouldn't be surprising. Go Collect is collecting all the information, why would they continue to share it? They could easily create their own app and not worry about CLZ stealing their business. My only issue with Go Collect is that it cost $9 a month. It's not worth $108 annually. I've had some conversations with CLZ and they're hoping to strike a deal with Go Collect over the next few weeks, or at least that's what they told me. I'm guessing that's not going so well if they felt the need to remove their update feature.

Something old and new.

A few years back, I went into a comic book store in Venice, CA. I got to talking with the owner of the store and told him that I was thinking about getting back into comics. Without hesitation, he grabbed a handful of new comics and said, “Here. These will help you decide. Free of charge.” These were two of the half dozen he gave me. One popped as a key issue several years ago. Today, the other appeared on the list as well.

Finally completed my collection of uncanny X-men books by Jim Lee or Marc Silvestri. Now to read them. I’m excited to read more Chris Claremont, especially from this era.

This series has been good. Two more issues to come.

#3 just arrived. Not a Star wars collector but these covers made me say, “take my money.”

Right on! I went to elementary school at Southgate in the early 80’s (Kent for high school) and O Leary’s was right behind my babysitter’s house. There was a hill so I still had to go around to get to it, but I got a lot of books there too. Good old days for sure. I found a decent local store here in Minnesota. Closest thing I’ve found to O’Leary’s. Huge back issue section, so I’ve been catching up on books.

Tacoma? Or did they have more?

It’s off getting graded. It has a tear so that’s probably why it was in the dollar bin. I got it about 25 years ago. I’m guessing it’s around a 5.0. Should be a few months before I get it back.
