Legally no company is allowed to hold possessions and money without refunding it when asking. That could be classified under that number I put. But again I just want my stuff moving. It's been far too long or returned.

Try reading the service terms and conditions you agreed to before you shipped your cards next time..

Like I said before don't accept more than you can handle simple as that. They know what they can handle and they are being completely negligent about the situation. If they can't handle it simple as that don't accept it. Legally, a company has to honor their turnarounds by a certain amount of time. I am pretty sure in every state that law remains. Plus you can't hold possessions/funds captive. Another word for that could be classified as a scam.

No company is legally obligated to to honor "estimated turnaround times" I mean the language is right there when you click the turnaround times... "Turnaround times are estimates only and are NOT guaranteed"

If you are waiting multi week then they prob missed the walkthrough label on the outside of the box. My express that was delivered on the 17th was on the system on the 18th

No I certainly wrote WK on all sides of the box in sharpie, it could not be missed. But this seems to always be the first assumption people make. I guess you are just fortunate.

You’re welcome to apply and sort packages for them all day. Lol.

I'd like to think there is minimal training involved in receiving and sorting packages. I could understand the difficulty presented with scaling a high quality grading operation, but I assume in this economy it should not be that hard to find people looking for jobs, but I could be wrong.

hello all. im sorry if this is a noob question. i just did my first ever submission of 15 cards using the standard service and it was received on 3/15. ive read through this post and ive seen a few people mention writing their submission level on the box. i know for sure that i did not do this.. is it worth it contacting CGC and letting them know or should i just let it ride? any input is greatly appreciated. thank you

They state to only write on the box for express and walkthrough submissions.

I'm assuming if they make it through let's say 2k cards a day, they are receiving 2k+ in Standard and above a day so the bulk and economy are just something they can't get to. They make far more money off the other tiers so they focus on those. I'm just wondering how they'll ever make to them if people keep sending in cards.

They will make it to them, it will obviously just keep taking longer and longer, as has been the case with TAT's being extended exponentially. The only gripe I have is their lack of attention to the orders submitted before 2/16, which had to be paid in full. Orders since that date do not have to be paid until they are graded, which is how PSA does it, and how CGC should have always done it. I could understand waiting and having TATs pushed back by 250% but when they are not only holding my cards but also a large chunk of my money, its a bit annoying to have your orders overlooked.

I’m in the same boat. Economy delivered around the same time as yours. I reached out about upgrading to standard but on top of the additional fees my order would be moved to the back of the line. No priority or anything, so it would prob still be about the same wait

haha ya'll better sit tight, my Economy submission was received 12/9 and its yet to even be scheduled for grading....

They are all put in their own "piles" on a first in first out basis for the most part.

It's no different in their comic grading.  Moderns which are $20 are currently faster than value $27 and Econ $38.

Given that Econ is almost the same TAT's as Bulk I'm guessing you will see movement any day now (unless you didn't have the cards in the proper order or had errors or subs etc that add to TATs).

This should not be the case. If you pay more for a higher service, and this service does not have a minimum of 50 cards, it should be much much faster. Sad

I assure you nobody is "being lazy." That is very disrespectful to our staff members who have been working extremely long hours and even giving up time on their weekends to help catch up. We have also been hiring as fast as we can (70+ people so far this year) but training takes time and we will not sacrifice quality. Lastly, we also just bought a new building to expand our footprint and help with the backlog.

You are welcome to apply. CGCcards.com/careers

Just curious if you guys are hiring people to simply receive and log in the mail. I would think there would be minimal training required to teach someone how to sign for a package and log it into the system. I understand the delay in grading and wanting to make sure you do not rush the grading process, but when the TAT times are already exceeding the estimates by 4x, and you tack on almost another month on top of that to just get the package opened, it's pretty disappointing.

    4 Bulk submissions

    All received 12/10

    1 moved SFG yesterday

    1 moved to SFG today

    2 still at received.

I'm kinda getting pissed off now seeing multiple bulk submissions received after my economy order getting graded. I mean wtf is going on at this point. How does a 50 card bulk submission get graded faster than an economy submission of 9 cards that you get charged nearly double the price for? Id love to hear the explanation.

I both agree and disagree. I agree that the consumer in question is selling the card too early, I disagree that the card has no value. Not looking at the price, I'd buy that card for... $30cdn on the spot, maybe pay the shipping because I'm feeling nice to the poor kid trying to hustle the big bad pokemon market... is that worth the grading and time? Probably not, people are going crazy right now doing whatever and I don't disagree that I've seen a lot of bad, weird, why would I grade this cards. If I had this card in nice condition, I would consider getting it graded

Personally, I feel like that card could be $100-$200 in five years, "sequin holo rare promo"? Neat. One of my favorite starters, not just a pokemon but one of the pokemon you had to choose? Priceless. Would I plan on selling it? Probably not, I think it's a cool keepsake. Maybe in 10-20 years we get some serious Litten hype and that sequence of evolutions becomes the new Charizard. Who knows!

my point is, the card is not all that popular, and it got a 7.5. No one wants a 7.5 of a random promo card. I am sure if the person took the time to carefully review the card they could have noticed many of the flaws CGC picked up and not wasted valuable time and resources from CGC that they are terribly lacking right now. Its common sense.

I'm loling now because that's the exact kinda card I would scoop. I'm a fan of Litten who is my favorite starter pokemon since Squirtle, so that one has potential nostalgia value down the line on top of the potential of being a promo. I've ranted a lot about NA cards but I like their promo market and collect sets with good promos with plans on getting a few graded. I paid 90cdn for three tins, each with promos I consider to be well worth 90 each in the near future, plus I got 12 packs and pulled a couple nice cards. The tins are beautiful too, nice to have those as display pieces for my future nerd wall

I mean its a 7.5 Litten promo card, people need to take a look at their cards before they send them in at least. This card was a literal waste of CGCs time and in turn all of our time.
