  1. It's only for bulk, economy and standard. Again, most likely to stop subgrades on trash cards. Generally speaking there's no reason to get subgrades on a card that's not even worth $100. So I'm assuming they're trying to weed it out by making it unreasonable vs not doing it at all. Why waste egregious amounts of time thoroughly inspecting a $20 card. Waste of resources and time. They still allow people to get it done if they really want it, but it's not prioritized and are going to make them pay.
  2. I second this, even for my own bulk submissions. Some of it needs to be culled. Weed out the cheaper stuff and keep high end stuff flowing through at a reasonable rate. I've seen some silly stuff graded that won't even pull the price of the grading fee. It'll stop people from sending in garbage blowing up turnaround times.
  3. I agree, just have to charge a little more to compensate for the higher grading fees. I think BGS still charges 50 but the turn around on walkthrough is 3 weeks or something like that. It might deter people sending WK cards in that aren't worth it, which in turn will keep the turnaround time reasonable. Like the saying goes in construction you can't have cheap, fast, and good. Only two of the three ever apply. Fast and good won't be cheap, fast and cheap won't be good, good and cheap won't be fast.
  4. I don't like it, because it forces me to either tie up a lot of money and get the bulk going or send express/walkthrough in and wait even longer to get the bulk in. This way, I can send bulk submission, and walkthrough, sell walkthroughs have money in my pocket and still pay for bulk down the line when it's ready.
  5. That's dope. Looks like they actually listen to feedback well. Give them the +1 for that as most companies don't. Think it said Feb 16th or so it's starting
  6. Or do you have to wait until it's in hand to have the cert number to view them.
  7. @mattyzeepgam Thanks man, that's the kind of info I was looking for too.
  8. Didn't know they bleached into that gray color until you said that and some googling but with a little experimentation the overlap of two other cards practically match the exact shape of that. Pretty sure you're 100% correct on that.
  9. Shadowless Electabuzz but bottom is gray. Haven't run across this before so I'm not sure.
  10. I'm curious as well. Have a few that would probably go for $1k plus and not really interested in getting the old switcheroo pulled on me.
  11. I could have used that money to grade the expensive ones on walkthrough/express in the in the mean time and had more money in my pocket. Now I'm sitting on a stack of Zards I need to grade and sell but having to wait for the bulk to come back and get sold first. I didn't realize in the beginning when I sent the bulk off that they charge when received, not during grading. It may have mentioned it somewhere but I didn't notice it when submitting.
  12. Agreed, that's one of my biggest complaints. Walk through and maybe express charging up front is one thing. 2+ months is another.
  13. Most I've seen they must've shipped with the ornament on top of it and have a dent. Wouldn't think it would be that hard to stick something between them.
  14. I'm on day 26, still received. This may tie up a large chunk of money for longer than I initially anticipated. This month is gonna be rough.
  15. There's a lot of reasons, at least for me. I flip a lot of zards, and here is my list. EBay and pokemon is gambling. Number of pictures. Quality of pictures. Condition. What's the most I'll pay for one based off of perceived condition. Taking into account grading fees, ebay seller fees, shipping fees etc. Going in PC or for resale? Willing to pay more for one I'm going to add to collection. Time of auction. Some people do auctions that end in the middle of the night. These never end as high. Sometimes it's just a matter of who sees it. Had auctions one week the card sells for $500, next week $350. Card with the exact same grade. I've had buyers from other countries pay wild amounts on things simply because it isn't widely available there. Germany, UK, etc. That may not apply to everyone on there, but at least that's some of things I've learned. Hopefully that helps.
  16. A lot of it has to do with condition as well. Even a small .5 can be a few hundred dollar difference the closer you get to a 10. Rarity + condition creates a lot of those huge gaps.
  17. @Angel of Death Hopefully you do, and if you don't you can get them pretty cheap. I can't spell or type soon after waking up.
  18. To be a 5.5 I would imagine that's quite a bit of damage based of ones I've gotten back. Hard to believe it could be that bad out of the pack tbh. Have to be some major denting or something.
  19. I'd like to get it done, as its one I had from the movie. Was going to throw it in the next bulk but I don't remember what the minimum centering requirements are. That is pretty bad though.
  20. With it being a gimmick card I never paid attention. Was sleeving it and saw the back which prompted looking at the front again. Do they all have crazy centering like this? Wonder what grade a diagonal pulls 😂
  21. I'm sure it's hard for him to give a cut and dry answer answer as to how much as it varies from card to card but this is the updated answer I got. Sounds like it's something they consider but maybe only really ding you if it's over a certain amount. I've seen graded 10s from BGS and PSA with a little silvering if that was the only issue with the card. Maybe they have a similar process. @egardina.pp @KRod518
  22. They weren't but I collect sealed mess and for the moment remember which ones were heavy.
  23. How bad were they? My cards would be worth grading if the silvering wasn't so overbearing. Please do let me know though. Really curious how much they knock off.
  24. I just sent 10 vintage packs(base-team rocket) to get "graded" at psa. Mostly to protect and authenticate. In my opinion authentication is good, but giving a numerical grade to the wrapping is stupid.
  25. I wonder if they don't count it, or if it only detracts a little. My base set zard came back 8.5 but it doesn't really have it so I can't tell if would've impacted score. Think there's one tiny sliver of it on one edge. The .5 was from some tiny scratches near wingtip I'm assuming. I should've done subgrades to help myself better judge some other cards
