  1. It amazes me how much stuff was filmed back in 2016/2017 and then put on the shelf. I appreciate that it was done with no added VFX etc but all the story elements and dialogue is there and managed to stay hidden from everyone for all this time. Did Snyder literally take the only originals and keep them so they would never leak? When the actors had to go back in and film all the re-shoots there must of been a few instances where they had a word with each other in private and thought 'I can't believe this is what we're doing now...'
  2. The film is just bonkers, a huge spectacle of DC's biggest names in a 4 hour epic. And only another 10 days to go!
  3. Here in the UK you can pre-order the 'Not 1st print' for 28th March. But as all our shops are still closed at the moment there was no chance of ever getting hold of an actual 1st print.
  4. The success of the MCU is unstoppable so any popular character that hasn't appeared yet is seemingly money in the bank.
  5. How do people even get a hold of these things before release? I can never figure out how people know these are coming or find a place to pre-order. They just seem to appear out of nowhere but with a crazy price tag!
  6. 54 tracks! It's going to be a full score release then which is excellent. Usually it takes ages to find all those extra cues of music that aren't always included in a soundtrack release.
  7. Does anyone know if the virtual premiere on 13/08 is meant to include any critics/reviewers? I haven't seen if there is any kind of review embargo on the film prior to the 18th. I'm not fussed for reading too much before I see it for myself but it'll be interesting to see what the general reactions are like when it doesn't come from any of the existing fan base.
  8. There's another Kirkham variant for ASM 62 on pre order. As with 61 it's another McFarlane homage for the new suit and chances are it will be on ebay for double the price as soon as it releases.
  9. I don't mind the title cards, the whole thing feels like something different to what we normally get from a film like this. And it's just adding to the hype! If it had released over 4 episodes I would of been just as excited about it although I reckon the first hour would of flown by so quick that I would of changed my mind and wanted it all immediately
  10. Nice, I find it amazing how hard it is to buy/find a comic spinner rack.
  11. A nice selection you have there, definitely appealing to sell off the bulk and trim down to just a handful like that. Saves a lot of space too!
  12. I've seen the film is split into 6 chapter titles. Do you think this means they actually come up as part of watching the movie? Similar to the way some of the Tarantino films have used chapters to break up scenes.
  13. The new posters look pretty cool I guess but still the fairly standard figure line up. I think I prefer the 3 he dropped last month for the rise and fall of something new. If I recall most of the theatrical posters were fairly bland (but I seem to have this issue with most movie posters these days and the generic floating head/figure style). I did appreciate the effort they made to replicate the Alex Ross painting though, that was a cool idea as his work is so iconic in the comics world.
  14. I guess that's why if you're going to buy anything now it's got to be for the love of the comic or a well thought out purchase. I'm sure plenty of genuine keys and issues of significance will hold their value but there will be so many that fall. It's why I love browsing all the topics here, it helps build real knowledge/confidence about what's worth going for.
  15. Nice. I've used them a few times, congrats on the cool pickups!
  16. Great book! I feel like I was looking at this very comic for sale recently, did you get this from Comicana? I've been looking up a few Sub Mariner appearances, he seems to have popped up quite a few times in the early silver age days on some cool battle covers.
  17. Junkie XL seems like a cool guy. Can't wait to hear some of the other themes he's come up with.
  18. The 30/40% price jumps happening within the space of a couple of months are just plain scary. Feels like you used to be able to target a book and start saving up for it but that is barely possible at the moment as the book increases so fast! Even low grades are slipping out of reach unless you bought before 2020. Personally my dilemma is whether to throw everything into 1 silver age key or move on to the more affordable bronze age keys where you have a chance of putting together a good run. I'm still hoping that when the comic shows open up again here in the UK there might be some good opportunities that are not in ebay price territory. Unless of course all the dealers sold off their inventories during this crazy era..... couldn't blame them of course as it's a sellers dream right now.
  19. I enjoyed that article, brings together a lot of various stories I’ve read pieces of elsewhere. It’s also giving some good exposure to the fact that even the studio know that JL in 2017 was trash. Interesting that no one has been able to get any comments from the likes of whedon or johns or their representatives. Whedon is obviously finished and I know there’s a whole thread for that topic, but Johns in particular seems odd as he’s still a key figure in the comics world for DC so must have something to say on all this?
  20. Probably a stupid question but when viewing this on a standard flat screen TV is it likely to default to try and fit the image to the screen?
  21. First taste of the score has been released too. And it is good stuff, going to make such a big difference to the tone of the film and link in those themes from MOS and BVS. I think the full score is due to drop on either 17th or 18th March
  22. I like the idea of that. I've noticed lots of posts that talk about different aspects of the trailer and the attention to detail that people are noticing in each scene.
  23. Frustrating that WB are not promoting the film's availability outside of the US. I'm fairly confident it will be picked up here in the UK ready for release on 18th March, either VOD on Amazon Prime or to buy via Google Play where it's previously been hinted to land. So many fans around the world are willing to pay for this, take their money you fools and then give us more!
