  1. At the time JL came out in 2017 I had no clue about all this stuff, only that ZS had stepped down due to his family tragedy and Whedon had taken over to finish the film with a few minor re shoots to lighten the tone. The articles at the time were all about how ZS was part of the handover and everyone was on board with what was happening. Unbelievable! It was actually only recently when I took an interest in what the original ideas were for JL and I loved finding all the concept art and snippets of information that showed what could of been. And what now is.....
  2. Considering DC is such a hot property for WB to make money out of, it is mad to think that the reputations of those higher ups in the business seem to be influencing a sabotage attempt.
  3. It's one 4 hour movie. The episodic split was shut down after it was reportedly too complicated to sort out the contractual payments for the actors etc. I'm sure it's been mentioned here somewhere that there is meant to be a natural halfway intermission, probably to help serve the IMAX release that we hopefully get some day.
  4. Guarding 2 amazing books! I’d love these issues and that would be around my affordable grade level I reckon, they present so well.
  5. What must those WB lot that ditched this vision be thinking now.... Is it all a case of wait and see how successful it becomes before they even comment about it.
  6. Excellent trailer, back in with the massive scope of the film, the epic sweeping score and what look to be some incredible super hero set pieces. Those final seconds were just the icing on the cake and should really help peak the interest of anyone that didn’t think it would be much different. Fair play to Snyder, he clearly loves these characters and I personally have loved his take on them so I’ll be watching that trailer a few more times in the coming weeks!
  7. It’s all. Gone. Insane.... Getting to the point of just creating a collectible out of anything you can get into CGC / PSA quick enough!
  8. There is seemingly so much cool stuff going on in this film it just blows your mind that back in 2017 this was all pushed to one side because of the panic within WB about audience reaction. Even when the theatrical hit there were lots of positive reviews and critics thinking DC had done a good job bringing the fun to the big screen. Then it slowly all came out about what the heck was really going on and how false all those press tours had really been....
  9. I love that this film is going full DC with the madness of the anti life equation and knightmare futures, so much potential. The teaser hype is really ramping up now, I wonder if any of the cast members are due to get involved in some way to promote it? Or would that be too much of a complicated situation with the studio?
  10. I’d say wait and see what grades you get back, that’ll give you an idea of how best to sell. In high grade they’ll all fetch good money individually, obviously 181 can go for plenty. So eBay is an easy sell but then you’ve got high fees to pay. Im UK based so don’t have many other auction options but if you end up with high grades you can research selling via somewhere like comiclink. Good luck!
  11. It's this sort of thing that is hard to keep up with in the land of buying and selling. The show could end up being a flop but there seem to be so many buyers out there ready to jump everytime a network makes an announcement!
  12. It is crazy, the circumstances leading up to it seem so unique that I can't see anything comparing either. The upcoming trailer is going to be huge and really make it obvious this a whole new take. Then only another month to wait! (And fingers crossed the score release onto spotify at the same time)
  13. Definitely seems to be a trend for a lot of silver age books such as the ASM run. I've found that it's become the norm to browse ebay and see everything priced hundreds of pounds over what you might of thought. Great time to be a seller and it looks like 2021 will continue that trend.
  14. That brief clip looks intense. Really looking forward to the battles in this one.
  15. The new trailer will probably give a better view of Steppenwolf, hopefully make him look more of a threat than he ended up being in the theatrical version. I've actually watched most of the theatrical version fairly recently when it's been on TV and it's crazy to try and think how parts of the story are going to play out differently. For example I keep wondering what Batman is going to be up to when Supes comes back and how their first meet is going to happen.
  16. Not sure what people think about the ASM 55 craze but the third print virgin variant has gone up for sale. If you’re in the UK it’s on Scott’s Collectables again if anyone is interested, I think it’s all via Gleasons site if you’re in the US.
  17. Loving these little teaser drops. As Oddball mentions above, the Knightmare scene in BvS was one of the standout moments and seeing a continuation of that is going to be one of the best things about ZSJL. There just seemed to be so much potential to see some cool stuff.
  18. It's funny how much commotion things like this cause online, such a simple thing as a catchphrase not being used. When this movie finally hits there are going to be so many comparison videos and articles about the differences from the 2017 version it will be crazy! To be fair I'll be interested to check some of it out just to see what original footage was actually part of 2017 JL. I've already seen the comparison clips that show parts of the DC Fandome trailer and the differences that have already been noticed. Some of which are really strange, not just the colour grading but the positioning of characters and backgrounds that make you wonder 'why did they bother changing that....?'
  19. Hi Paul, Is there a list of authorised dealers within the UK who are able to submit cards on our behalf? For example there is a list of UK dealers on the CGC comics page that non-members can submit comic books through. I was wondering if there is something similar for trading cards? Thanks
  20. I suppose in the current market it can seem like almost any time has been 'selling too soon,' prices just seem to keep growing! I like to look at it from the other side too, some of the good scores made have come from someone else selling too soon. The buying and selling game is such swings and roundabouts but as some others have said it makes for an engaging and interesting hobby.
  21. I remember that too! And I think it was true, the scene at the fairground had something in the background splash down into the water, a satellite or something. I'm sure they tried to tie it in via the Cloverfield Paradox film. I always liked the idea that some spin off stories would all loosely connect in some way but it never seemed to take off. Not sure what they plan to do if they are ignoring the paradox and 10 Cloverfield Lane films but I'm definitely interested.
  22. Rumours suggest that the trailer is coming on Valentines day.... Love those 3 posters, will hopefully intrigue those who don't even know much about what the Snyder cut is. Instead of putting out a variation of the standard group shot (which would maybe just pass over a lot of people's heads as being a re-release of some sort) they've gone straight to the point with the new reel haha.
  23. Yep that's a good find. I'm in the process of selling off some Venom related stuff too and it's an easy sell at the moment. A quick check on ebay under sold items will give you a good idea of how to price them based on their condition.
  24. I've finally caught up on this and I'm still not completely taken by it. I enjoy some of the mystery elements but as someone not massively familiar with these specific characters I find the easter eggs few and far between. Until I come along here of course and read into it, which to be fair I quite enjoy. Reminds me of when I would watch an episode of Lost and then read about all the theories and wild speculation afterwards. I know from the trailers that the style of the show changes as it goes further along and as a fan of most MCU films I'm sure the payoff will be good so I will stick with it. However I can completely see why more casual viewers would find it a slog to get through those first 2 episodes in particular.
  25. The MCU seems to be getting too powerful.... insane that pure speculation for a character turning up on screen drives prices so crazy. I can’t even remember the prices these comics used to have when I’d visit a comic mart back in the early 2010’s.
