  1. Thanks - good to know! I'm going to look into certified vs. registered going forward, and of course lesson learned on insurance. From what people have told me my guess is that they got the tracking number wrong since it's still showing up as not having been scanned at my PO. I'm going to wait a week or so to see if it shows up in My Submissions (walkthrough and CC on the box). Nothing I can do now but wait. Thanks to those of you who have helped me feel better about it and encouraged me to be patient.
  2. Hey thanks all - kinda what I figured. I'm a stickler for insurance, but maybe next time I insure the true value, not what I paid. So now I wait. I'm in touch with USPS and they've put a tracer on it (not sure what that means). Right now the tracking appears that it never left my post office It's been lost since last Thursday, so not at the full week yet to make a claim. I'm remaining pretty calm about the whole thing - nothing I can do but wait and see. I'm hoping I just see it show up in My Submissions one day... I'll report back.
  3. Well, my biggest comic-related nightmare has occurred and the postal service has lost my box to CGC. I insured it for the cost that I paid for the books, but will be out much much more in what I would have been able to sell them for after grading. Basically ten raw keys were in there, and two slabbed books for Claremont to sign. Has this happened to anyone? Will the post office only pay for what I insured it up to? Or since I have proof of what was in there (my CGC receipts with estimated values), will they pay more? I know I have to ultimately work this out with the USPS, but wondering if anyone had any experiences.
  4. Incredible Hulk #180 - VG/VG+ $650 With MVS!. The book would benefit from a clean and press. Subscription crease. MVS intact. Grade is an estimated range. No restoration apparent. Had this graded in the PGM forum:
  5. Strange Tales #110. Incomplete. $1250 The top third of the front cover with the title has been removed on the front cover, while the back cover is fully intact. Cover is attached. There is an upper right panel cut out of page 1 and page 2 (see pics), otherwise all pages are included. The Dr. Strange story is fully intact. There does not appear to be any restoration but only a grading company can make certain. I am including a color copy of the comic cover (last 2 pics) in case you want to store the original copy inside or add it to the front cover for appearance.
  6. Action Comics #31 - CGC 0.5 Incomplete. $450 Centerfold and two panels cut from page 32 —affects story. There is also a name stamp from the original owner in several places on the front.
  7. Action Comics #29. CGC 1.8 $1250 I sent this in myself to be graded by CGC. Cover detached. Cream to Off-white pages. You’ll notice they used a magazine slab instead of a comic one. It is also labeled as the 1st Cover Appearance of Lois Lane but it is actually the second (after AC #27). CGC still lists it as the first, but I want it to be clear.
  8. I have a few books to sell today trying to make room in my collection - most are my undercopies. I ship fast and securely and pay for insurance on my dime PM with any questions or offers but not much wiggle here on the prices. The Rules: 1. First “Take” or wins. PMs are fine but nothing is done until it’s posted here. 2. Shipping is $15-18 per slab (my actual USPS cost the way I pack). Buy more than 1 slab and I’ll pay for shipping for all of them! I’ll ship to Canada for actual cost but please PM me. 3. PayPal preferred. I see Venmo let’s you choose to protect your purchase so I’ll take that too. 4. No probies or HOS folk 5. Returns accepted as long as you let me know within 14 days. Return shipping on your dime. My Kudos: The books: Action Comics #29 CGC 1.8: $1250 $1100 Action Comics #31 CGC 0.5 $450 $350 Werewolf by Night #32 CGC 4.0: $1400 - SOLD! Strange Tales #110 (0.5): $1250 $1100 Incredible Hulk #180 (4.0): $650 $575
  9. I'm submitting two orders I placed with CGC/CCS: one contains 10 books (2 of which are Walkthrough), and the other are two slabbed comic resubmissions for Chris Claremont to sign and CCS to press. I believe I can ship both orders in the same box, however I'm wondering what I write on the side of the box? Do I write both WK and CC, or just one? Does it matter? Thanks for your time.
  10. I wish my friends gave me $5000 gifts! Congrats on a beautiful book!!
  11. From red trunks bondage to green trunks bondage
  12. Without knowing what book you’re referring to, it’s very difficult to answer your question. In general, not for sale reprints are worth much less than the original. One quick example is Amazing Spider-Man 129 - you can go get a Lion’s Gate not for resale copy for $10 on eBay.
  13. Cory was great - prompt messages, payment and was really friendly. I screwed up the tracking on the book he bought and he couldn’t have been nicer about it. Thanks!
