  5. I’ve been naughty and bought too much and now I need some dough to pay the bills…so my doubles gotta go. I think I’m pricing these pretty fairly but I’m open to offers. All slabs are in good shape unless otherwise noted. I can send more pics if you want any. I’ll ship everything that sells by Sunday night on Monday AM. The Rules: First “Take” or wins. PMs are fine but nothing is done until it’s posted here. Shipping is $18 per slab (my actual USPS cost the way I pack). Buy more than 1 slab and I’ll pay for shipping for all of them! I’ll ship to Canada for actual cost but please PM me. PayPal preferred. I see Venmo let’s you choose to protect your purchase so I’ll take that too. Only people from the nice list (that means no probies or HOS folk) Returns accepted as long as you let me know within 14 days. Return shipping on your dime. My Kudos: Ok, remaining books: X-men #4 CGC 0.5 was $700 NOW $630 Detective Comics #359 was $700 NOW $630 Take both for $1200 shipped free!
  6. Thanks! I appreciate it! That motivates me to send in a few of them to be pressed and re-graded when I send in my next batch. Do you have before and after pics you can share?
  7. I’m in my late 40’s and I recently brought a bunch of my childhood books to GalaxyCon in Raleigh to be signed by Jim Shooter. He was awesome - talked to me for 20 minutes and told me a bunch of stories about working for Marvel and signing with Stan. He was pretty surprised that these were from my original collection and he seemed kinda excited about it. I just got the books back and I have to say I’m really happy with my teenage self. My preservation led to fairly high grades and white pages for all of them. The rep at the show forgot to check pressing and I didn’t notice until it was too late, but the grader notes for all of the 8.5’s are pressable defects. Funny thing is that all i did was bag and board and put in a long box and wrap it with many layers of plastic wrap (for moving). I brought these books through 10+ moves over 30 years. Overall I’m happy with my 10-15 year old self! And gotta love Shooter’s sig placement.
  8. My fav three from this year. Especially excited to finally find that beautiful 30c copy!
  9. My JR JR remarque moved from Received at CCS (where it was since they received it in August) to Scheduled for Grading today. JR/JR Hanna Signing must have have happened last week.
  10. Thanks for posting. My two are still showing up as Received at CCS which is where it’s been since it got there in August but now I know it’ll move!
  11. Dan was professional and friendly, with great communication. I bought an Avengers 2 from him and I think he gave me a heck of a deal. Thank you Dan!
  12. By the way, this is the page they sent me, saying it was the published page.
  13. I appreciate all of the replies, thank you. It is most definitely not a prelim, so thanks for that correction. To me it actually looks like the panel I bought was made afterward because of all the black notations in the bottom 2/3 of the panel, almost like to indicate it was only the top panel that was being replaced. And yes, what I posted was exactly how it was labeled on the website when it was for auction - no other information. Unfortunately I contacted Comic Link and they've decided to ignore me on this matter. I sent an initial email with my question about published vs. unpublished and they quickly replied with another image file of a page from another X-men book that was nothing like the one I bought, claiming it was the published version of what I purchased. I wrote them back and said they were mistaken and that was the last I heard, which was on Tuesday (they guarantee 24 hour responses to all emails). I've called once (didn't leave a message) and tried one more email. The deadline to pay is today, so I'll pay and move on. Caveat Emptor! Shame on me and lesson learned.
