    Correct, this appears to be a printer's crease and should not affect the grade.  The crease was in the paper before the ink was applied so it will not appear to break color.  A clean and press will not (and should not) remove the crease.

    From what I can see it's a beautiful looking higher grade copy. Without better pictures I can't get more specific than that.

    All of the above.. AND...

    I would suggest using new bags and archival safe (acid-free) backing boards for these books for better protection.

    Couldn’t agree more...  I was under on every single book with the exception of #15 Kraven.  Even then I was only over half a grade.  Perhaps it’s time to reevaluate previously rejected submission candidates. hm
