  1. Alan Davis does that too, so not restricted to new artists. Malvin
  2. Yes, good luck to everyone! I think my consignments have between 1.5x to 4x to go, and for stuff I am after my max is 3x where they are at right now, so tomorrow should be interesting! Malvin

  5. I think I saw someone with a Mario Brother licensing piece that was his. It totally matched the video game look. My first thought was why would you pay Neal Adam's rates to have him draw a different stye? If I'm paying Neal Adams, I want the Neal Adams look! Malvin
  6. Congrats on figuring it out BuraddoRun. I did not. But I don't think I tried that hard :P Malvin
  7. and from the same artist! I can't give the answer since Michael told me what it was, but here is a hint, there are 4 of them. Malvin
  8. Thanks! It's based on a John Buscema pencil sketch. Jusko also homaged it in a painted Hulk magazine cover.

  12. looks pretty spammy, forward it to Bill, although knowing Bill he would have disabled the account already. Malvin
  13. Nice! Mike Bair pencilled those? It has an Art Adams feel to it. Malvin
  14. I think it's too early to make any conclusions. I'm glad the auction timeframe is a more reasonable 18 days, the last few focussed auctions had like almost 30 days. I was told it was because they had so many comics to sell that they needed the time to space all of it out. I have 3 items consigned that I will pimp soon. I'm annoyed that someone else consigned another Kaare Andrews Iron Fist cover the same time as me but what can you do . At least the other one seems faded. Malvin
  15. This is more about the current auctions ending tonight but I just noticed that they actually upgraded their website/platform. I see thumbnails of the art in the my bids page now. Before it was just a description (and I often forgot what the image was, so the thumbnail helps) Malvin
  16. I just uploaded this vintage Ian Gibson Judge Dredd page with Judge Anderson! CAF Link Malvin
  17. Now that I am on a computer instead of a phone and can type things out, for me Sienkiewicz is someone where I didn't like the abstractness of the art when I first saw it but now I appreciate it. Other artists who are also abstract (Jason Shawn Alexander comes to mind) I also feel the same way. I can't think of "regular" artist where my views of changed though. Either it clicks when I first saw it, or it didn't. Malvin
  18. Hi Folks, My comiclink auctions end tomorrow. Relative to when we are in the auction timeline, I'm actually ok with where most of them are at right now, but take a look and make that last minute price bump happen so that I can replenish my war chest! 19. if there is a new high bidder they add 3 minutes and that keeps on going. Not sure if there is a hard stop mechanism (e.g. like Hakes where they won't add extra time after xx hours and its a hard stop) Malvin
  20. I only took a glance, but is it a Finch cover? In which case I would assume David Finch. Malvin
  21. Err... isn't it just a big frame? This example probably isn't what you are thinking, since it is a double size cover on a single piece of board, but here is my Grell Longbow Hunters TPB Cover Framed Link to CAF Malin
  22. If you really want to know (and if Yoram doesn't know) a fellow collector advised me (on my JR JR Thor unused cover) to reach out to the editor to see if they remember. Malvin
  23. Simon's post is fitting, since I just remembered I do have another Keown unpublished fit, that is also an example of the unpublished version being worth more than the published version (like most rules, unpublished being worth less than the published versions is not absolute and there are always exceptions) In my case it is an X-factor DPS featuring Jean Grey and Beast. The published version is actually the same image as the unpublished, but the published used a photocopy of Keown's blue line on craft-in, while my unpublished version has his pencils. There is also a long story as I bough both halves of the DPS years apart: CAF Link with backstory Thanks for looking Malvin
