  1. You need a professional restorer for that. If you piece is india ink, they can soak it in solvent to remove the board. It's been awhile but should be at least a couple of hundred for something like that Malvin
  2. err.. the ebay ID is preduction, or am I confused? Malvin
  3. Hi Folks, I just uploaded a complete 7 page story to Alan Moore's Green Arrow story Night Olympics, with art by Klaus Janson Link to CAF Gallery with all the pages Thanks for looking Malvin

  6. well, assuming that the objective is to win, I guess people do it thinking some people will indeed back off or get demoralized. Clearly it doesn't work on Mike, he just gets annoyed and maybe even bid stronger! What we need to prove the hypothesis is for someone to admit that they back off or get demoralized and not bid when it happens to them! Malvin
  7. I assume it hasn't changed but the best is Hake's 30 minute rule. Their increments increase fast (10% of bid price right?) so it won't go on forever. As well I didn't know they had this rule where there is a time when all auctions end, regardless of the 30 minute rule. Malvin
  8. Wow, I just went to look when you mentioned it, that price surprised me too (and also doesn't to some degree with the way prices are going) Malvin
  9. Hi Folks, I just added a Walt Simonson X-Factor page to my CAF! CAF Link Thanks for looking Malvin
  10. Thank you for the transparent explanation Bill. I was just curious when it was mentioned, and I wasn't seeing any issue because I wasn't clear what secret information he could have. Malvin
  11. I thought it slipped by everyone else too. I PM'ed Nelson asking for details too Malvin
  12. Here are my thoughts, I'll start as an attendee and then as a seller. Attendee Unlike last time, I actually bought some art this time. I generally find that there is less and less art that I can buy. I'm sure me no longer reading comics plays a part in that. Of the 3 pieces I bought, 2 were from books I read and the 3rd was just a great Alan Davis image that I kept on going back to. I think most prices for stuff that I collect were reasonable. I did like the Sunday art drop, gave you a reason to look again, even though I didn't buy anything. I'm not a panel guy so no comments there. I did have it playing in the background tonight as I was packing the art I sold though Exhibitor I'm generally happy with my sales. I sold 13 of 34 pieces. Nothing over 1K though. Because of the extra slots available, I put stuff up that I wasn't aggressively trying to sell, but wouldn't mind selling if I get my price. Some of them actually sold. Some of the pieces that I thought would sell for sure did not. I think 48 pieces is too many, although as an attendee I didn't think there was too much art (can there ever be too much art) Echoing my comments as an attendee, I like the Sunday art drop idea. Malvin
  13. hmm.. so your main question is that most sold pieces were under 1k or $500? I think that feels right. I threw up a few things over that amount and they didn't sell. There are few people who fork out over $1k anyways and generally unless something feels like its a good deal, people don't quickly buy things over $1k. One of my purchases was over $1K and I thought it was cheap. Of course what I think and reality might not be the same thing. Malvin
  14. Congrats on your sales Dino, you had some great pieces. I'm pretty happy with my sales so far and more importantly, my sales finally exceeded my purchases Since there was extra room in Sunday I added stuff that I would only sell if it met a certain price and glad some sold. Guess the bulk of the unsold ones will go to comiclink for me Malvin
