  11. I just uploaded a fun page. Mr. Spock vs. Beast from the Star Trek/X-men cross-over comic by Gary Frank and Cam Smith! CAF Link Thanks for looking Malvin
  12. This seems bizarre. It sounds like your item had no reserve? Finding out a reserve is the only reason I could think of as to why someone would bid and withdraw. Malvin
  13. Hi Folks, I have another batch of art on ebay starting at 1 cent with no reserve! The items are: 1. Essential X-men cover, a UK reprint comic by Lee Sullivan. This issue reprints some Age of Apocalypse related stories and features Rogue! 2. Keron Grant Spiderman vs. Doctor Octopus page 3. Chuck Patton JLA page with Gypsy 4. 14. just 1117R mylar sleeves from e-gerber. I buy them 50's. I also have other size mylar sleeves for other size art. I have some aside free boards but generally do not use them for the bulk of my collection. Malvin
  15. you should create a poll... but mine are just in mylar sleeves Malvin
  16. same here. Small item, but still, I would have saved $$
  17. that one is not as crazy. It was an iconic image that everyone remembers and saw. Malvin
  18. It was discussed in the HA results thread I think? The consensus was... drumroll... No one has any idea. My (not so helpful) guess is that unless shilling was involved, 2 people just valued it 10x of what everyone else thought.. Malvin
  19. I thought this thread was about defining what B was? Malvin
  20. I too think A, B, and C are all relatively and can't be defined by pricing or rigid definitions of context. Heck, you can even have A splash vs B splash on the same title and A panel page vs. B panel page on the same title. Here is a practical example, since the bulk of my collection is probably B (I suppose by definition very few people have collections that are mostly A). Kevin Maguire One Punch page (not mine) - A - CAF Link The page after the one punch page (mine), still lots of great content, but only a B relative to the one punch page - CAF Link Regards, Malvin
  21. https://www.cnbc.com/2018/08/06/the-two-mystery-paintings-that-sunk-sothebys-stock.html I have heard of auction houses guaranteeing prices before, guess if they are wrong, it will cost them. I wonder how frequently that occurs in our hobby. Malvin
  22. I asked Brian Peck the same question and he had no idea! On a smaller note, I'm scratching my head on a Dale Keown Dragon Ring page that sold for $264, those pages typically have a hard time breaking $100 at auction. Malvin
  23. If it was me, and t was this hard to even start the conversation with them, I would just not bother. Imagine how the communication would be after you paid them when it's this hard when you are trying to give them money. Malvin
  24. as well as a much bigger scan too (even if it is the signature only) Malvin
  25. I think he means an art portfolio for DPS art Malvin
