  1. Another flawless transaction from Andy with lightening fast shipping in a very secure package and all the books are strictly graded as usual. My favorite seller on the boards. Thanks again Andy!!
  2. Awesome group shot. I've been wondering why TOS books have become more expensive compared to this title and it seems Captain America isn't that popular with many collectors. Do any of you feel it's because the SA Sub-Mariner might not be that popular either? I think both titles are awesome with many great books and great covers. The TTA 59 and 81 are Beauties!!
  3. One of the better sellers I've dealt with on these boards and it was another flawless transaction. Bulletproof packaging, fast shipping and the best part are his books are incredible that is matched with his very strict grading. (thumbs u A perfect transaction and you can not go wrong buying from Bill. Thanks again!!! fay
  4. Nice group of war comics! (thumbs u Thanks and you gotta love the 100 pagers too and they seem harder to find in HG. My favorite Registry set is Greggy's 100 pagers and those are wicked. This is my favorite issue closely followed by OAAW 242 which I'm still searching for a nice copy. I notice quite a few of those OAAW 242's have a small spine split or small tear at the bottom of the spine. I just noticed my 3600th post and it comes with a compliment to Greggy.
  5. All great choices and have you guys seen that CGC 9.4 SSWS 82 on C-Link right now? That cover and that book is sweet and it would look good in Mike's Frogman collection. (thumbs u I see a bunch of sweet additions to C-link and are those Richard's or Keith's books? I hope they're not Richard's and it nice having him drop by this section once in a while. Here's that SSWS 82 and I bought an extra Loto-Max ticket for tonight's draw.
  6. Very true Jim and I'm sure my plans will fail and that explains why I keep buying so many issues from all of the Big Five.
  7. Wow, look at those colors and I love the DC giants, either the 48 or 52 pagers. My favorite one for last.
  8. That's a tough question and when two more packages arrive next week I will have added 116 DC War books to my Big Five and WWT collection this year. I love them all and might take a small break from DC War for a little while because there are so many other cool books out there. I've tried to purchase any OAAW or GIC books and covers that I think are cool from the other three titles. I always tell myself to buy less and buy better quality and I lack the patience for this it seems. I'm really sorry to hear Keith lost some cash on his wheeling and dealing and to each his own I guess and he is a great seller and a pleasure to deal with and I hope to buy some more books from him. I don't think I will ever be a wheeler dealer and I'm terrible at the financial side of this hobby and I collect strictly for fun and to meet other collectors. I already have a great job and a decent part time job on the internet and I just can't see myself worrying if pressing a book will get that grade bump I need to make money and all the other worries involved in trying to make money off our wonderful hobby. I'm not criticizing anyone for doing this and in many ways I'm jealous and wish I could do the same on a small scale. Here's a few books that have arrived recently and the few on the way.
  9. Great Kubert stories you guys and it's a pleasure to read them. Awesome books Matt. More please!! Bill, I was racking my brain trying to remember the cover of AAMOW 20 and I couldn't seem to find a scan of it anywhere on line. I was checking through my box of slabs and I came across this awesome cover.
  10. Great books as usual you guys and I love that Kubert Sig. Shame to sell it. I received one envelope and two boxes so far this week and I'm expecting one more Friday. A Western Penn Ped. Both Caps are from the Golden State Collection Russ Heath! I forgot to post this from a week ago. Some more Heath sweetness.
  11. Just purchased a handful of awesome books packaged to perfection with awesome grading. An excellent seller that I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to any buyer for raw books or slabs. (thumbs u Thanks again!! fay
  12. Very nice Mick I'm not sure which issue? An envelope and a box of comics arrived today. Despite the flaws it's a solid book I couldn't pass up. Love this cover. And just once more because I love it so much.
  13. Awesome thread and what an amazing effort to track down all these incredible books. PM on the way and I have one book on your want list, but I'm not sure if you will want it or not.
  14. As soon as I posted in the thread in CG about Joe's passing I logged off the boards and went to my comic boxes and started flipping through many of his covers and lucky all are in mylar and after five minutes or so a few tears started to fall onto his awesome covers. What a sad sad day it was yesterday and wasn't it only six weeks ago that Matt and Richard had an fantastic chance to interview him and he sounded like he was a true gentleman and looked quite healthy. I pray for his family in these hard times. He was one of the biggest reasons I became interested in War comics and DC comics in general and we are all blessed to have so many examples of his incredible covers, inside art and his story telling. R.I.P. Mr. Kubert and you will not be forgetten by so many collectors and many future collector generations to come. Great story Shep and it's so nice to see you around these parts again, although I wish it was for a better reason.
  15. Great books as usual Sir. BTW, Happy Birthday!
  16. I never get sick of seeing that book Mike and I've never seen a HG copy for sale you lucky devil. A few of my favorite books. Next week is going to be a ton of fun and I'm expecting four packages with over 40 nice books heading my way.
  17. Nice books you guys. I received a couple of packages this week and this is one of the harder DC War books to find IMO. Russ Heath is soooo good.
  18. Thank you Jim and thank you to several members who helped me get through one of the toughest weeks I've spent in a long long time.
  19. Thank you Andy and I'm my worst enemy when I can't sleep and lucky little Wally seems to know something is wrong and plays with me all night. It would be nice to be a cat. His only worries are when his next meal is hitting his dish and to ensure no crows use our balcony as a resting spot. I'm sure no one will care but I thought I would mention it and I counted all the purchases I've made this year and I've added 102 issues to my DC Big Five and WWT collection so far this year. great job fazy and enjoy the time away from work! Bill, you're starting to sound a lot like Fazybones..... Come on Andy, leave my buddy Bill alone and he just joined five years ago and that quote function can be tricky when he spends several hours a day on his computer hunting down his last few remaining issues to complete the BIG FIVE. (thumbs u Thank you for the kind words Bill. What a day and the Witch Hunt from my company I think is finally over and my appointment at their head hunter doctor went very well. Of course they pulled out the drug card and I nearly laughed in his face and this November will be nine years clean and sober and I hope they make our Vice President drink the balance of the sample I left. A dealer and those want lists I've entered all over hell's half acre paid off big time today and I just picked up this beauty at the Post Office a few hours ago. It wasn't cheap, but I love it and the page quality is outstanding. Sorry my scanner packed it in.
  20. Thank you Andy and I'm my worst enemy when I can't sleep and lucky little Wally seems to know something is wrong and plays with me all night. It would be nice to be a cat. 21. I finally found a half decent looking copy of OFF 20 and it's easily one of my top five DC War covers. I scored this beauty soon to be cracked from my favorite e-bay seller and I guess that's all he is and I thought we were friends all these seven years. I just finished reading all four issues of Vertigo's "War Story" released in 2003 and they were awesome. Garth Ennis is an incredible writer and if any of you haven't read these I would highly recommend them. (thumbs u I owe some of my war buddies an apology and I deleted three pages worth of PMs and I'm really going through some problems at work that could change my life forever. Please don't take it personally and I suffer badly from insomnia and I'm letting my imagination run wild and I'm not thinking too clearly these days. Any PMs sent my way to just talk comics or about anything would be greatly appreciated. I'm off work with pay and I've got to stay away from the Marketplace.
  22. I've had a few selling transactions with Jeff and sold him runs of DD, IM and Captain America. Instant payments every single time and very friendly and grateful communication which I really appreciated. Highly recommended honest board member!! Thanks again, fay
  23. I'm trying to catch up on some Kudos I owe and I sold Dave a nice DC War Slab and what a perfect gentleman. Dave paid instantly although he missed the Cap 110 I set up for him. Great board member to deal with and I'm proud to call him a friend of mine in an internet sort of way. Hopefully I can meet you one day. Highly recommended very honest person and makes these boards a better place in my opinion. (thumbs u Thanks again, fay
  24. I purchased a couple of nice books from Mike a few years back and I was very pleased with everything about our transaction. Quick shipping, great communication, fair prices and awesome grading. (thumbs u Thanks again!!
  25. With you and many members I think you are very correct, but overall the hobby has changed IMO.
