  1. Not a bad plan. Some books posted Andy with a few more to come.
  2. Awesome sales threads Brian! (thumbs u Thank you very much for opening the vault and offering so many cool books to the members at some incredible prices. I grabbed quite a few and got a bit carried away and I think this is my best score of a book I've never seen before. I can't help it and just one more book that's a favorite of mine that I've been searching for.
  3. Those were classic Flee. Very Funny!! Flee is the king of making these and Bill actually looks like he gives a pretty good massage. (thumbs u
  4. Speaking of Andy. You sure had an intense war sales thread and it was like war in there. Thank you so much for making so many incredible books available to the boards at some fantastic prices. If only I didn't go out drinking like I was young again and I'm sure I would have more books to pay for and add to my growing collection if I just stayed home Friday night. Thanks again Andy! (thumbs u My best score of the sale: Russ Heath!
  5. I'm enjoying the Faye show (thumbs u Aaaahhhhh.. that means a lot to me Richard. If you ever change your focus please contact me and I might be able to buy a book or two. I hope you never do because it's nice having you in this little section of the boards once in a while. (thumbs u
  6. Thanks Andy! You are right, they are great and usually after you post some books like that Mr.Bedrock drops a few CGC 8.5 10 centers on the next post. Richard is the king! (thumbs u
  7. Some books I received last year where I couldn't borrow or steal the seller's scan and now I have this fancy used scanner. I couldn't sleep after a late call into work and want to eventually scan all my favorite books. Nothing special but I love them. One of my favorite covers. PS: Are the boards having some techincal difficulties or glitches because I posted that OAAW 182 yesterday and the post wouldn't appear and then I noticed it was posted twice this morning, so I deleted one and now there both gone. Or maybe I'm still hungover.
  8. I know this is a BA book and I'm just showing off my sort of new Scanner/ Printer my Mom gave me for my birthday. It's a big improvement from that old one a co-worker gave me that couldn't do slabs. See what you think. A couple of colors are showing low and I need to buy a new cartridge. I love it and I must say it was a great day even though father time is marching on and unfortunately I'm going along with him.
  9. Nice books Sterling. (thumbs u Are you in a big hurry to let them go? A few recent and older purchases and I love some of the WWT stories. A Manitoba
  10. Thanks Andy and Mike. Thanks to the mighty Paratrooper I have a few more beauties on the way and I found a few more I purchased from E-bay that still need to be scanned. A book I've wanted back for a couple of years. A Russ Heath cover I've been searching for three years or more. Thanks Vaughn!! I forgot one and it's another favorite.
  11. A few books I purchased off e-bay during my break from the boards sulking. Most likely not noticed I was away. A Savannah Nothing HG as usual. I sure missed some great war sale threads I see.
  12. In mid October I hit the on three books from a seller and a person I really respect and I screwed up and forgot I needed to renew my car insurance and I didn't want to keep giving this great guy a bunch of excuses. I had just gotten over some health problems that made my finances a little tight and I finally asked him if we could work out a trade and he agreed. I thought he was happy with the trade and I honestly felt terrible about sort of forcing him to make a trade and I tried to make it up to him by sending six books that I thought might be worth more than my purchase price of the three books. I could really be wrong here as I don't follow the values of books as closely as most members and honestly don't care. I bought a book last night and then heard from this seller and I believe he is quite disappointed with me buying another book two months later. I just found a new buyer for that book so Shep doesn't lose out on the sale. Please just add my name to the probation list and leave the seller out of it if possible. I apologize to everyone on the boards and don't want my screwed up life disrupting someone's sale ever again. I thought this hobby was supposed to be fun and it truly isn't anymore.
  13. :applause: Wow, very nice Shep. Are you going to start taking commisions soon?
  14. Doc Joe is an animal!!! WOW!! That is one sweet book you lucky bugger. That Showcase 45 you posted in the SA section nearly made me cry and I would love to become a buying machine like you. I see there was a Showcase 45 CGC 9.6 in a recent Heritage Auction and did you make a run for that one? I shouldn't post this until it arrives and it's been paid for and should be arriving soon. One of my favorite covers and stories from the BA.
  15. Sounds great Shep and I need a Chris Pedrin Guide after donating my copy I received from Lizards2 at one of our fundraisers. I wish I had the coin on hand and I might have to pass. I finally found a nice copy of one of my favorite DC War greytone covers thanks to October. Thanks Andy for running the survivor series in CG on DC War.
  16. It would have been nice and I was wrong and didn't have a single issue Bill or Shep needed.
  17. you dont need permission to put scans of cool books on for us Yeah, I know but I don't want it to look like I'm showing off. Nice book Jeff. I'm at work and I think I have a low grade copy you can have Bill. I'll send you a PM when I get home sometime late this afternoon after I've checked a few boxes to see if I have any of your remaining want list. I don't think it's nice enough for Shep's collection. ( no offense Bill ) fay
  18. Another excellent transaction from Hotflips for some Mylites and boards and their service and communication is perfect. Thanks again Charles and Jeff!!
  19. Billy I'm sure the last book I posted was your favorite being a DC and all.
  20. A few pre-code books that arrived over the last few weeks. Nothing HG and just some Russ Heath sweetness. Not my most expensive book in my collection but it's my favorite with no tanning, white pages and that awesome smell of a well preserved comic. The bit of color loss on the LRC looks worse in the scan and I love this book. Thanks again Andy or Thirdgreenham.
  21. Another awesome selection of beautiful books Shep. I finally got around to cracking out a few upper mid grade slabs today. They sure look sweet in mylar.
  22. Those are awesome Shep and it's hard to beat War Comics 11 IMO. I was shocked you missed out on those River City Atlas war books and wasn't one a Russ Heath cover. Of course quick fingers Dan scored one or two and those were great pick-ups. :applause: I had to purchase insurance for that POS company car May 1st and get my power steering fixed so I could only watch some pretty nice War books go by over this last week or so.
  23. Sorry to hear about the OFF 10 and can't wait to see the Atlas War books you scored. I hate to ask and were they a Shep e-bay special? We still need to find an awesome story from Atlas for Marc's project. Those books I bought from Dale arrived today and these two are the nicest in hand with excellent gloss, colors and very nice pages.
  24. As usual another incredible transaction with Andy and he's one of my top three sellers on these boards. (thumbs u Thanks again for another flawless transaction, fay
  25. :applause: A big Kudos and thank you to Dale for some awesome Atlas War books with Russ Heath's incredible cover work. I was searching for a few of these Beauties for three or four years and Dale came through big time. Accurate grading, awesome packaging and great communication. Thanks again for everything Dale!! fay
