  1. Here are a couple more early TOS books - 2 super monster covers
  2. Here is a nice TOS #7 - it took a while to find one in nice condition!
  3. I gots me one of those...Its a little chippy though...
  4. Wow, when you think about it, how many times did Kirby re-invent Captain America: 1) The Guardian 2) Fighting American 3) Private Strong 4) OMAC 5) any others?
  5. Here is the never reprinted version of Kirby's THOR from Tales of the Unexpected #16. From 1957 - THE MAGIC HAMMER
  6. They can just post the Superboy covers, or of course interior scans from reading copies. Dont forget Kirby's Green Arrow run in World's Finest as well.
  7. that's lovely Wow - that's a great piece! I dont think the special effects were up to snuff at the time to adequately depict a scene like that on film!
  8. TTA #27 is a great book. What is the current popularity of the other Ant-man keys - #35 (first real Ant-Man) and #44 (first app & origin of the Wasp - also more details on Ant-Man's origin)?
  9. One of my favorite covers. Only Johnny Craig drew cleaner sewers than Kirby!
  10. Here are TWO MORE John Watson Squad pieces based on classic GA covers:
  11. X-Men 140? That's a BINGO! Your no-prize is on its way.
  12. That's interesting. I didnt think the Nickster collected anything but Golden Age.
  13. Here is a trio of recent commissions done by UK artist John Watson: This one is based on an old Men's Adventure Magazine cover. This one is based on Wood's Classic CAPTAIN SCIENCE #4 = with a classic 50's movie monster thrown in! And this one is also based on a classic Men's mag cover!
  14. I have not posted any recent Original Suicide Squad commissions of late - I hope you enjoy them! This piece is by Neil Vokes and was inspired by the creature in my favorite Hammer film - THE ABOMINABLE SNOWMAN. Can you id the semi-classic bronze age cover that inspired this piece?
  15. Don't I know it! And here's the whole set! I never thought I could complete a 12-issue run from the 1940's, but here it is: Maybe I'll upgrade the #3 and #10 someday a bit. I'm just happy to own a #12, so that one I'm ok with. I've already upgraded the #8 and still have my undercopy. Of course knowing me I'll still rather aim to complete runs first, and I've started so many. For example I recently finished this 2 issue run, of which I posted the covers individually in this thread over time but this is the first time they got together: BTW - Nice pickups guys! That Suspense #8 is amazing. I just lost out on a #4 over the weekend. I'll get one eventually.... I was just thinking how funny it would be if a big dog came charging down the stairs after that cat and those Cole books go WHOOOSH! all over the place. heh.
  16. I dont blame you...it is a sweeeeet book!
  17. Nice! I just love seeing GORGO sock it to those Reds.
  18. WHAT!!!! CHIPPING? I don't see no chipping....
  19. TOS #4 is a great book - one of Kirby's better close-up aliens on the cover. Here is my copy!
  20. Very cool + Gil Kane to boot!! NICE! Love those Gil Kane monster covers. I will always regret not buying a bunch of these OA covers when I had the chance years ago from Conrad Eschenberg. sigh...
  21. so much for that, I won a double by accident with what I thought was a low ball bid for a black cover book with nice pages that has a high census of 8.5 Well I am happy to have another nice one, but if anybody has a double they want to trade in exchange, holler at me by pm Thanks to pre-hero addict extraordinaire Bronty's generosity to help out a fellow degenerate collector, this gorgeous AA #2 is on its way to my house. He couldn't have been cooler or more helpful in the transaction, and it was smooth as silk. Thanks again! My 7.0 is still available if anyone would be interested. Any reasonable (or even slightly unreasonable) offers considered. Nice book! If I recall, there is a killer Dr Droom story where he visits Atlantis. Kirby gives the reader their 10 cents worth!
  22. I hope are not taking Krang orally...Krang is for external use only.
  23. Wow, That is a nice lump of money. Make me consider selling off my pre-heros and buying a .... NAH!!!
