  1. Wow (thumbs u , that is some book. Nice MGA #4 Z!
  2. This is one of the most dramatic compositions on a Str Adv cover, along with this one: That's a great SA cover! That cover always reminds me of this nice Joe Sinnott cover...the theme being you can step out of your living room and drift off into space...cool!
  3. It sent one to me as well! What a tease. I'm sorry... I can't help teasing with my books...but I must tell you that I am planning to get some rehab for my chronic teasing.
  4. There is a very disturbing panel in this book where Capt. Comet (now with a gorilla brain) throws his poopie at the villians -- a few years later, the CCA would never have allowed that...
  5. Those Strange Adventure reprints from the 70s was my introduction to these great Silver Age stories (that and FROM BEYOND THE UNKNOWN). I like the reprint cover just as much as the orginal (which was first printed in MYSTERY IN SPACE)...although the couple seem much more concerned in the SA version.
  6. Hey, I really like that SA #65 cover. They guy's bugged-out face is just great! Here is one of my favorite "Earth in space" covers: That is one BIG harpoon.
  7. A book I picked up very recently. A very under-rated key book, IMHO.
  8. Nice CHALLS! Here is a new aquisition to my CHALLS collection. This is a very under-rated key book with great Kirby art.
  9. I think its an important piece of information that is irrevocably lost and that is sad. If this place wanted to be a regarded as a serious selling forum that affects market pricing it should be known. It would be nice if it was recorded here in a searchable database, both raw and third party graded, available for both browsing and for GPA to record if they want. I would prefer to know the final selling price and NOT necessarily the buyer if he/she wants to hide that so it shouldn't be a big issue with the buyer Interesting. I like where you're going with this. I do wish GPA made use of sales data from these forums. So many graded comics change hands here every day, it'd boost their database in a wonderful way. Including the sales in these forums into GPA would really dirty up the data there... Think about it...a seller could easily go back and modify the amount in the sales thread (up or down) to manipulate the price (for whatever reason)...Also, there is no verification that the actual sale was completed.
  10. Right on all accounts....I don't understand the big fat SOLD replacing the selling price either. Maybe the seller is doing this as a courtesy to the buyer...this way if he wants to flip the book, he wont be hampered by the seller's original price...
  11. A couple nice Severin books -- with Kirby interiors!
  12. Why you rootin tootin side-windin yellow-bellied cyotes....here are some of those thar Annie Oaklies...she's a right purdy lil gal...specially with those city-slicker Andru and Esposito fellers a'drawin her.
  13. Congratulations, Bill! That's a really hard to find book, let alone in that kind of shape. "Dark Age" Speaking about the "Dark Age", here are some BLACK KNIGHT books that go so nicely with those early B&Bs.
  14. Pretty copy of a tough book Bill That is what i love about this forum, i have never seen that book before, what a great cover, makes you wonder if Marvel modeled their Black Knight on this?? just a thought. No doubt...but since you mentioned it, here are a trio of BLACK KNIGHTS that I just got around to scanning!
  15. A Grail has been aquired! This is a fantastic full-moon/nightime cover of a very rare Dark Age book. Irv Novick was truley a master of illustration. Bill

  17. Nice Frazetta page... Dont let Frank Jr know you have it or he may try to break down your door with a back-hoe to get it!
  18. Thats a great cover! I wish Big John had done more pre-hero work. If you ever get the chance, check out JB's work on Dell's movie adaption of SPARTACUS (from the same time period)..super work! Bill
  19. I always had hoped that Mr Pedrin would expand his guide to include Marvel/Atlas titles and then perhaps eventually other publishers as well (Prize, Mainline, Standard, Charlton, etc), thus making his the comprehensive guide to war comics.
  20. Hey, I really like that black cover. NICE!
  21. I did notice the MGA #35 the other week in the Hemerage auction. I was amazed that it went for so much. I dont see this one for sale so often, so maybe it is rare. This cover kind of reminds me of those Ditko Charlton covers -- great story by Cardy in this one!
  22. Check! Nice book Mick. I would say this could be considered SA GGA! One of my favorite Robin Hood covers. Here is mine.
