  5. Happy New Year! Here are a few more of my favorite SA covers...Murphy Anderson is my favorite Sci-Fi cover artist!...Now I'm going back to the Twilight Zone marathon on the Sci-Fi Channel! Bill

  7. Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas! Here are a few more Strange Adventures!
  8. I love looking at those old price lists...I did a lot of business with Ed at that time..I may have even ordered from this ad! Hmmm...wouldnt mind getting my hands on some of those River City books...they are sweet.
  9. If you all are not aware of the fantasitc article by Ger Apeldoorn in this month's ALTER-EGO (#90) about 50's Atlas & Stan Lee's writting -- you are now officially notified. Also, check out Ger's Fantastic Fifties web page for stuff that was edited from the article and lots of rare scans of complete Atlas pre-code stories! http://allthingsger.blogspot.com/ Its a great way to spend an hour online! Bill
  10. A few more covers with Earth in the foreground...
  11. Love these types of covers...lets celebrate the black covers with the bright blue Earth, shinning like a star! Mystery In Space was famous of these covers...

  13. Just in time for Christmas...another GRAIL!!! A great book with a wonderful Moreria cover and art...one of the most underrated Silver Age keys.
  14. Here are a nice trio of early post-code MIS books...
  15. Ahh, a DC prototype project..that's one of my little sub-hobbies...I am SO on it! Here's Kirby's Negative Man...is this a prototype of the Doom Partrol character or could this be a "warm-up" (ouch!) for Johnny Storm's Human Torch as he appeared in FF #1?
  16. Here are a few of my favorite issues of Strange Adventures. Fantastic giant robot cover by Anderson. Now this one is really tough to get in nice shape...is it a prototype for Negative Man or the precursor for the SA reappearance of Johnny Thunder's Thunderbolt? You cant go wrong with a Washington & Linclon cover... Dad's an alien!!! Nice Kane cover. Maybe Charles VanDoren really saved the Earth from aliens?
  17. Nice Strange Adventures books! #143 is one of my favorite covers. The ATOMIC KNIGHTS and SPACE MUSEUM are 2 of the best sci-fi series from DC...the third would be SPACE CABBIE from MIS. Bill
  18. I will take a wack at it... This issue has a cover and 3 stories with Kirby pencils & Williamson inks, with an additional 7 pages of Kirby art that were not inked by Williamson. Only thing that puzzles me is the "®". I would think that means a reprint, but I believe this is all original material. Bill
  19. Grail aquired!!! Finally, after many years of searching for a nice copy, I have one of my Kirby grails...RACE FOR THE MOON #2. This issue has a really cool (and rare) Kirby/Williamson cover and a fantastic story..."The Face on Mars".
  20. Grail aquired!!! Finally, after many years of searching for a nice copy, I have one of my Kirby grails...RACE FOR THE MOON #2. This issue has a really cool (and rare) Kirby/Williamson cover and a fantastic story..."The Face on Mars". I wonder if this is where Richard Hoagland got the idea.... Bill
  21. Cave Carson prototype. Hmmmm...ya think?
  22. A big bag of Kudos to DRX for his silver age goodies! Grading was right on target, packaging was bullet-proof, and the book arrived super-fast! thanks, Bill
