  1. Here is another trio of HOMs. For some reason, the 80-89 issues were the toughest to find in decent shape.
  2. Thats a nice book. Lets give it a great big hand!
  3. Those Nova Scotias are great (thumbs u I picked up a bunch of nice Nova DC Sci-Fis from Jim Payette some years ago -- super nice page quality!
  4. Wow John, those are some covers! I've seen the other Avons before (and love em), but I've never seen that THE DEAD WHO WALK cover..its very creepy...brrrrr!
  5. Ok...here are a few more TOTUs: Luv this canary yellow covers. This is the River City copy. Oh, and here's that #40 everyone is always so keen on...
  6. Rex was originally Aquaman's dog...until he got his own series...
  7. Hey Bill....any way you could post a couple digital pics of the Williamson story...I've been wondering if that one has a specific story I remember when I was a kid....but I haven't seen a copy in person to inspect it. If you can't ,it's cool. GOD BLESS... -jimbo(a friend of jesus) (thumbs u Hi Jimbo, I will dig it out of my archive...but I do recall the story... It was about a guy who lost his job to a robot and then organizes a big political movement to abolish all robots. Everyone changes their mind, of course, after one of the 'bots performs a selfless act and saves the Earth from an alien invasion. Typical Atlas pabulum...but its great stuff!
  8. This is a pretty cool cover! Since I am partial to giant monster covers, I cant help but compare it to my favorite giant monster -- RODAN! Bill
  9. Since we are in a sea-going mood... This one has a really good Al Williamson story.
  10. Super bright colors on this one, John. They really pop out at ya!
  11. Great Moreira cover...and that Kirby "Thor" story. Nice Moreira washtone cover...starring: Jame Wynman and Ronald Reagan! Nice Bob Brown "end of the world" cover & story.
  12. Wow Adam, those are wonderful colors on that cover! I think Myra wins hands down as having THE shortest skirts of any SA damsel in distress! Here is a quintet of some nice black background TOTUs: What's the riddle of the Robot Sphinx? Nice cover...I just love the depiction of the sky here... Jupiter! A lady under glass. Forget gloal warming...THIS is a much bigger problem!
  13. Like hot pink? How about a little emerald green... Great Leonard Starr cover! A Mort Meskin beaut! And another by Mr. Starr...
  14. Here is another early issue of MGA...before editor Jack Schiff changed the theme from action/adventure to fantasy.
  15. Nice Space Rangers!!! I've been a fan of Ranger Rick since I first read a reprint story as a lad in SUPER-TEAM FAMILY. Here are some more SR covers.
  16. It is interesting how much the Atlas monsters differ from the DC monsters. In the case of a prominent DC monster, such as K'RA (above), the DC monster is always the misunderstood party, while 99% of the time, the Atlas monster is a menace.
  17. Wow, thats a great cover...Ive never seen that one before. The story looks interesting too..whatsitabout?
  18. Leave it to Kirby to recycle 11 years later... Actually, Kirby recycled it only 4 years later: Although, interestingly enough the WCR cover looks closer in proportion to the HOM cover!
  19. Wow Rick, those are really nice books. I often thought that some of the MGA's in the in the 30s-60s range were trying to compete with the Atlas monster books -- as nearly every one of those issues has a wacky DC monster on the cover. Here are a few more MGAs! Space Ranger prototype: One of my favorite Robot covers: Love the colors on this one:
  20. Another trio of early MGA... Cant go wong with a diving suit with a pink background! I'm glad each of these villians has a name tag... Another SA GGA cover...nice Egyptian theme.
  21. Here is an early trio of MY GREATEST ADVENTURE...all told from the first person point of view... All have wonderful Moreira covers...
  22. Thanks, John. But most of my DC stuff is only FN/VF to VF. I'm far too much of a tight- to swim in the deep end of the pool. That's high grade to me for 10 cent DC's, especially when you get back into the 50's! I agree with that statement 100% (thumbs u DCs from the 1950s are quite rare above VF. I am always tickled when I get a nice solid FN/VF DC book from that era. Bill
