  1. In the mid-90's I sold a bunch of MASS. copies of early RK & 2GKs to Metro... next to the penny stocks investments I made in the late 90s, its one of my life long regrets....
  2. Rawhide Kid #22 has always been on pre-hero monster collector lists becuase of it has a monster cover - that keeps HG issues scarce and high in demand. I also like the brown and orange sky... Here are a couple of Kids from the same era...
  3. Nice copy! For the longest time I thought I had this issue. Then I realized I was confusing it with this issue, and that I didn't own one... Hey, that a nice copy! Shining ..er.. I mean SILENT Knight does not get the credit he deserves!
  4. Boy, I'd love to read that story about Robin's adventures as a boy. Any chance you can at least give us a concise summary of the story. Thanks--Steve Sure thing Steve... The story is an untold tale of Robin as a boy. It seems that young Robin is having trouble pulling back on a mighty bow...the young lad just was not strong enough. Robin's father is looking for him -- as its time for his squire lessons. Robin is, meanwhile, hanging out with "Old Hugh" who is trying to teach him the finer points of archery. While looking for Robin, some highwaymen are about to overtake his dad in an ambush. The adrenelin must have been flowing as Robin is finally able to use the bow and help save his dad, covertly from the forest. And that's the story in all its Silver age simplicity! Good show...aye what? Bill
  5. Ahh...a new pre-hero B&B enters my collection. Factoid: this issue has the origin of Robin Hood by Russ Heath (well..actually its Robin Hood's adventures as a boy).
  6. Nice book! Bob Brown's covers are so underrated. He did some of his best work on those great Space Ranger covers in TOTU.
  7. Uber-rare Silver Age...Cave Carson's adventures INSIDE EARTH!
  8. I finally got around to scanning one of my favorite Silver Age gems...1st app of that crazy spelunker...Cave Carson. Great story and art - very rare in HG.

  12. Thanks for the catch..it was a "cut and paste" malfunction...here they are!
  13. Yes, its very pre-code-esque... a nice change of pace.
  14. Hey, remember the 70s? No, not the Disco 70s...Strange Tales 70s!
  15. Ditko should stick to drawing...
  16. A new arrival. You know, I think this issue of SA is one of the rarest to get in decnt grade. It sure was tough finding this one.

  18. And didn't they live common-law at first? Good Heavens no! THAT kind of behavior would NEVER have been allowed by the CCA. Janet was an heiress and lived in her own mansion -- and Henry would come and call for her when he needed her for an adventure.
  19. Uber-colorful cover of this early MGA -- best story: "I Was the Last Man on Earth".
  20. You think Fury might have been involved with the Bay of Pigs or the hit on JFK?
  21. Thanks for the scans. This work of Ditko is rather interesting..kind of like a small preview of the kind of material Ditko would produce if he went to work for MAD.
