I traded them an Jim Lee uncanny xmen cover years ago that went smooth. I also have bought some pricier items in the last year that I will take pics and share with ya when I get a chance. That went smooth. Also one of my first art purchases was a Ghost Rider pinup 21 years ago that went good as well. I do not know the whole situation apparently about the stats but with me at least they have been good so I had to make that post because of that.
Gotcha. That's cool. I've never tried buying from them because of the lack of asking prices/hearing that you get a different answer depending on a number of random factors. Beyond that the whole adding stats to art and acting like it was meant to be a cover, or that it was a cover is a scummy practice. There seems to be plenty of evidence pointing to them doing that. Glad you've had good experiences though. I imagine that you paid up for what you've gotten, but if it's been a while those would probably be no brainer steal prices in today's market.

I do not agree with putting stats on it but I will give them the benefit of the doubt and figure they meant to say unpublished cover which it might be because the original cover has those characters I believe in a graveyard. Maybe something they know we don't? I just do not see them out to fool anyone. But I agree the stats do not do anything for me and probably should be left alone.
What art did you buy from them?

I have bought pieces from Steve and Rich and they were a class act. I know many people who feel the same way. Maybe you would to if you actually try and buy something from them. I do not think they are trying to pull one on anyone by creating stats for pieces. You kidding most of those twice up covers, that has been done too ions ago. It is at their expense and they do not claim it to be original stats or original art. Anyone who has money to buy something from them knows that. They are in the business of selling art and they try and make it more appealing. I do not feel it adds to the piece but I do not slam people I do not know, never met, nor bought or tried to buy anything from. If you have a real complaint, let's hear it. Otherwise all this copying and pasting with insults is for children. Now I know enough to know no one is going to like this post and I will not get any credit for sticking up for good people or change any minds on this damn thing we call social media but at least I know I tried =)
What have you bought from them?

Thanks everyone. I’ll probably go the route of breaking it up and selling individually then. I wouldn’t ever sell this at auction, but I was thinking BIN for the lot and unsure on price. I guess single BIN it will be.
Go back to selling snakes, noob.

Land gets a lot of hate, and I get it (I guess) but man do I love his work. I have several of his X-men pages. I have a neat one from this time period with her and Xorn. Fantastic choice on this one!

The only show she has a chance to show up on is Andor currently. Her place in the timeline makes it extremely unlikely to see her other than perhaps a secret cameo for a long time. I'd say sell.
She could show up on the Mandalorian. There are plenty of attractive older women that could play her to be age appropriate by that time.

Well, I hope you are referring to the softcover edition of the book and not the hardcover edition.
Especially since the boys at CCS are already still having a bugger of a time squish squashing the softcover edition of the guide so that it'll fit into one of their CGC slabs.
I'm talking about the big spiral bound version. I want to see that in a slab.

Is the book in a cgc slab?

Yeah it’s weird, in the search it shows 10k but when I click on it it changes to 7. Might have been an auction with a starting price at 7 and a buy it now of 10 and eBay’s glitchy site isn’t showing it properly. But yeah either way whoever got it could flip it for twice that easily.
Such a mundane sale.
WHO IN THE WORLD POSTS A TURTLES 1 1ST PRINT WITH THAT IN THE TITLE??? Seriously. Bring this person to me.

I'm just waiting for a seller to have a massive haul of books, invite someone over, have them spend all their time cherry-picking and grabbing books and then at the end say "thanks for telling me what I should look up! Have a goodnight!"
I had this happen with a couple of guys. The last one I accidentally dropped the stack of books in the parking lot we were in. I told him I'd still buy most of the books at the price we had agreed on, but he passed. He was mad, but didn't do anything about it because I look really mean.

100% faded after slabbing.
If it were that faded before it wouldn't have gotten a 9.8 unless it also got a green label.

That's how I read this. Yes, the seller could have been more patient and yes, his behavior is very Dr jekyll and Mr Hyde but a quick thanks would have been appropriate and clearly what he expected.
Yeah, the guy seems a little unhinged, but that last bit could have been easily avoided.

people are weird , i notice young people want to coordinate things that are complex and with important details through texts .. and i'm like we need talk about this on the phone
Absolutely. Some people want to exchange texts over the span of an hour or more, and the same conversation could be had in a few minutes. Baffling. I'm cool with texting when it's just shooting the $heet or whatever, but when something needs to get done/coordinated I'll usually call.

I collect baseball cards in addition to comics/art, and belong to a few card groups on FB.
Recently a guy posted in one of the groups that he only needed one card to complete his set of 2018 Heritage baseball, the Ronald Acuna rookie card (they generally sell for $10-$15). It was a "Want to buy" post. Since I'm a huge Acuna/Braves fan I had bought a bunch of this particular product (about 100 boxes) chasing the variations of Acuna and some other guys. Point is, I had about 100 of the card he needed. Centering is an issue for this particular card, and probably 75 out of the 100 I have are off center. I messaged him saying "Hey, I have an extra Acuna I'll send you for free if you want it. It will be off centered, but it will complete your set". He said that would be great and wasn't concerned about centering. He just wanted to complete his set. I got his address, sent the card that week with my other shipments. Never heard a peep from the guy. I thought maybe it hadn't shown up or something, so I checked tracking on it to satisfy my curiosity and it had been delivered.
This guy never sent me a message saying 'Hey thanks, got the card" nothing. It left me feeling weird about it. I just know if the situation were reversed I would have 100% sent him a thank you message. People are weird. Maybe I should send him a crazy person message similar to what the OP got.
OP, once you got the refund/received the books, the first thing you should have done was thank the guy. Sometimes people just feel the need to do something nice.

Is Sterinko artwork worth buying?

Disagree. Hazing then warm welcome. Then hot tub invite if it's a hot chick. If a dude, then more hazing. This is the way of the boards.
