You guys don't have a TikTok? I'm sticking to girls then.

I get it. Secrets...We all know you piled up Hulk 181's from the $1 box

Love it. Any way you could show the books you bought from each spot as you go?

I question whether raw volume is a significant factor in this market, as compared to less popular books (where we basically agree). I have one of his pages, and he is good.
I know I am showing my age here, but I did mean Richard Dillin.Similarly, when I think of Orlando, I think of Joe.
Ah. Gotcha.

I'm guessing the OP meant Richard Dillon and that his first name was censored.
Aaaaah....That makes more sense. I WAS confused haha.
I think part of it was also that a lot of people poop on Steve Dillon art, so that's where my mind went.
My bad. I didn't even know people even talked about Rod Dillon.

Don’t confuse great art with high prices. Pricing is more a function of popularity than quality. For the life of me, I still cannot understand how Dillion’s work has gotten as pricey as it is—except for the fact that he drew JLA and other popular books.
I'm not confusing anything. I don't see how this relates to my post at all. I said that Ed Benes art on Gen 13/Wildcats has, in my experience, lost value due to the quantity of his work, and people not paying what they once did for art from lesser known titles. I said nothing about the quality of his work.
Who's Dillion?
Are you talking about Steve Dillon? He never drew JLA that I'm aware of. If he did it was a small sample size. Dillon is famous for his Preacher and Punisher stuff.
Did you mean to quote someone else?

For modern art I can think of a few good examples of guys producing so much work that their OA prices suffer.
First name that comes to mind is Ed Benes. I bought a stack of his stuff in the early 2000's and was getting close to $500 a page for the better Gen 13/Wildcats pages. He's been steadily pumping out work ever since and those same Gen 13 pages I've seen sell for half of what I got for them 20 years ago. I wish I had the same opportunity with Campbell pages because those are 5-10x what they were selling for at the time.
I think part of it is that Benes has been on big books for a long time, so those dollars are going more towards his JLA etc stuff. There's just a lot to choose from and Gen 13 is probably near the bottom of most people's list.

Supposed to be a new story telling what happens to Negan after 174 and before the happenings of 193.
Awesome! I can't wait to read it now.

Is this a new story, or a reprint?

Don't bid on anything until the live auction starts.
Also, don't bother bidding on anything you hope to resell anytime soon. After you bend over and take all the fees/tax/shipping/CC fees, you better hope it's something you really want. A good example for me would be that Uncanny #248 Jim Lee page I won a month or so ago. I got it for what I felt was a good price. It's incredibly unlikely that I'll ever sell it, so that's a win for me. I'm not concerned with any margin on resale.
Number of pieces I've bought at Clink auction this year? = couple hundred. Number of those I will resell at a profit in my lifetime to fund other art purchases? probably 1/2.
Number of pieces I've bought at Heritage auction this year?= 5. Number I will sell before I croak = 0.
Best advice really is just don't want anything that auctions at Heritage.

I think he might be mentally handicapped based on his Facebook posts.

I'd crack it, and put it back in backwards.
Then definitely uncrack it though.
Actually, before you uncrack it, take a couple of pages for yourself. You've earned it.

Lowered price, but don't be afraid to send a legitimate offer.

he is referring to the post a few above yours, los bros bought a piece and labeled it an alternate cover
Yup. I was just hating on them. I generally have zero issue with anyone trying to make a buck on their art purchases if that's what they choose to do, but these 2 take it too far with the add-ons.

2nd place on the Campbell X-Men cover.
I wanted it, but I'd rather have the Jean Grey one if it ever comes up.
I did win the Invincible cover pretty cheap. ($1450) Was kind of surprised honestly since whenever art goes up on Felix's site it gets devoured before I can get a page most times. It being a variant cover was probably the culprit if I had to guess. Still, it's an Ottley Invincible cover. Will go swell with my other 2.

Found a pretty cool Campbell variant this weekend.
