I have never owned a copy of this baby (and I never thought I would find a nice copy). This copy is unrestored, has great PQ, and presents great. I am one happy pre hero DC collector
Thanks Swapto!

Just got this baby in the mail. VERY happy! Great PQ and nice colors

It took me 20 years to find a nice copy of this book. I fell in love with it the 1st time I saw a pic in the Gerber photo journals.

Can I have it?

i was first runner-up at the pageant where this book was a finalist. it turns out that the winner can't serve out his term, and i get to ascend to the title of mr. vancouver! thanks so much to a boardie for putting me into this book. i just love it.
Never saw this book before and that Vancouver pedigree sure is something. Need to find me a neat book from this collection. Way to go StrawPal. (thumbs u
there's a nice vancouver up in the sales forum now. heard the seller is a really reasonable guy.
That's a "Straw-Man". (It begins )
I wonder if you were bidding against Vaughn ? That looks like a paratrooper cover to me. Very nice bp
thanks 'mac; the boardie was not vaughn, tho' i thought of him way back when it first appeared. in fact, the pennsylvania of this book sold recently and i hoped it was the 'trooper who won it. never saw it posted here, however.
Glad to part with it for the great Billy Parker!

Not sure if I posted this in this thread or not...

NA #22 is one of the tougher issues (several NAs seem to be scarce). Cool story about the New Comics #1.
i have seen a few low grade copies of late. but try finding one in mid to high grade.... impossible!
peter?
You mean like a Church copy?
Oh ok
9.6 NA 22. No big deal
Can I request to see that one in person this year?
-
peter, you are a machine!!!
As are you Ben. I'm really looking forward to your NA group post.
I agree you are both machines!

Is rarity (and the Action 1 ad) really that critical when determining value on these two that closed tonight:
New Adventure Comics #18, CGC Universal 3.5 = $638
New Adventure Comics #26, CGC Universal 1.0 = $7,956
That and the fact that NA 26 is one of the most highly sought after covers by Flessel.
one of MY biggest regrets was selling the NA26 8.0SP copy (2 twice )
so i HAD to win this!
Well done buddy (thumbs u

Nice pick up Billy. Not sick anymore but lost all my #'s. Call me tomorrow so we can finally catch up

Great looking copy of a very tough book. Congrats Steve.
Thnx Peter (and Jeff) - I am really enjoying this particular book!
(thumbs u Solid copy of a tough book (toughest of the New Comics run)!?!I'd probably cast my vote for New Comics 2, but will defer to the true experts (Peter and Jon) on that issue.
I agree with Steve...2 is a little more tough than 3 IMO

Never got around to posting this one I won in the last Heritage auction

I'm having a pretty good week. Another book showed up on the mail today. Thanks to a fellow boardie...Thanks Steve.

Is it true if you don't "use it" you "lose it"?
-
bought it this summer...I have several other copies, but will likely only keep one (unless I get an offer I can't refuse ), and this one seems to be getting a LOT of interest, so I doubt it will remain in my possession too much longer
