  1. Blowie....you posted the old brackets instead of the newest ones.
  2. Yes and I had the 44. I have a bad tendency of undergrading mid grade books on down. I still say there's no way that Wonder Woman is a 7.5. I originally had it at 7.0 then went down to a 6.5. Better stick with the original guess I think. I'm just happy to make it to the Sweet 16. My next opponent has scored 90+ in every round so far, so it looks like I need to use the Princeton defense to slow him down. I'm pretty much dead in the water but then again I always did like the underdog role.
  3. How the heck did that Wonder Woman get a 7.5 grade with all those color breaking cracks along the right edge? I pegged it at a 6.5. I did advance but had the 2nd lowest winning score. I'm in deep doo-doo this next round me thinks.
  4. Was going through grading some comics when I came across this one. Didn't even know about it until now.
  5. Will you be listing any JC Penney variants from 1993 or 1994? I need 4 for the 1993 set and 10 for the 1994 set. Only need one (the Marvel Milestone Hulk #1) for the 1992 set.
  6. My wife keeps preaching that good things happen when you believe they will happen. I'm trying to practice that but I'm not convinced. Good luck to you.
  7. Here's my donation for the cause. 10 nice raw Marvel Comics - Amazing Spider-Man #362 (2nd Carnage), Iron Man #169 (1st Jim Rhodes Iron Man), Iron Man #302 (Venom appearance), ROM #75 (last issue), Secret Wars II #5 (1st Boom-Boom), Thor #412 (1st full New Warriors), Web of Spider-Man #1 (classic Charles Vess cover), X-Force #8, X-Force #15 (early Deadpool cover) and X-Force #19 (1st Copycat). Shipping is included in USA.
  8. Same here. I submitted my grades last night then found the large scans just a few hours ago. My fault because I didn't ask but I'll be glad when this new board/old board bouncing back and forth is over.
  9. Priced for quick sale at $3,995. Last GPA sale was $4,850 last September. Amazing Spider-Man #1 CGC 9.8 Game Stop Edition Signature Series (Greg Horn and Stan Lee sigs & sketches). There are only 18 of these books in existence. Two (2) are in Greg Horn's personal collection and one (1) is in Stan Lee's possession. The other 15 were sold to the general public. Payment via Paypal only.
  10. That is the article I wrote on the 3 MVP sets for the STLcomics gallery way back when. These sets are near and dear to me and I have all 3 sets in Minty condition. They can be a pain to put together but luckily I grabbed 2 of them complete. I even have the JC Penney catalogs they were featured in. Here is a link to the original write-up via the Wayback Machine- http://web.archive.org/web/20120504021151/http://stlcomics.com/gallery/jcpenney_stridex/ Question for you guys. I just purchased a Marvel Milestone Edition: Amazing Spider-Man #1 thinking it was the JC Penney Vintage Pack reprint because it had the white Marvel logo (2nd picture). The original printing had the red Marvel logo (1st picture). But when I went back and checked, I noticed that the JC Penney Vintage Pack reprint has no border around the white Marvel logo whereas this one does. So what is the one I just bought? It has the newspaper type interior pages like the JC Penney version but the cover is glossy and darker gray.
  11. VERY happy with this last submission.
  12. Found this early (#5) issue of Alter Ego (1962-1963) at a local Vintage Stock store yesterday.
  13. Picked up a couple more Marvel 3-packs earlier today: Marvel Tales #81, Eternals #13, Hulk #213 Star Wars #1,2,3
  14. Well, it's about frigging time!
