  1. I contacted the seller and gave him the benefit of the doubt (I didn't accuse him of being a crook right off the bat). My message: "I can emphatically tell you that what you are selling are NOT 35 cent price variants. Are you kidding me? A 35 cent price sticker? Look at EVERY other 35 cent price variant listed on eBay and you can clearly see that the price on them was part of the printing process. I suggest you either pull your listings or modify them to remove the "35 cent price variant" wording." His response: "are you kidding dude, go be a self proclaimed ebay policeman somewhere else." Both listings have been reported to eBay. I have no problem being an "eBay policeman".
  2. Another low-life to put on your banned buyers lists: ttuck72. Bought a $16.00 comic from me on April 16th through best offer. My fixed item listings state that payment is expected within 3 days of purchase (April 19th). I send multiple invoice reminders and he finally "pays" with an e-check on the 23rd. On the 27th Paypal sends me an e-mail stating his e-check for $18.95 was declined. Paypal said in the same e-mail they would wait 3 business days to process the payment again (which would have been yesterday). Still no clearance of payment. Do these clowns even get any kind of a neg from eBay? If they don't, they should.
  3. Feel free to post these kinds of finds in here. The thread started out as garage sale, flea market and antique mall finds only but I decided later on to let any cool finds be posted in here. The more the merrier!
  4. Is the Newsstand version of Danger Girl #2 ( the JSC bubble bath cover) rare or hard to find? I just checked eBay and mycomicshop and none are listed on either site.
  5. I just had a 1-day 8-hour garage sale last Saturday. Turnout wasn't as great as I hoped as I advertised extensively (multiple Facebook comic groups, craigslist and our Nextdoor website (28 neighborhoods). Sales still weren't bad for 8 hours....about $500. Here's my setup: I'm actually going to leave our garage setup like this and I'll have more sales about once each month. Like Blob, I threw in my 12,15 and 20 cent beaters in the dollar boxes. One of the first guys to my sale bought $180 worth of $1 and $2 books and most were the lower grade older books.
  6. Post it in the announcements thread in the COMICS MARKET - SALES ADVERTISING section. This thread is to share your love for the books. Thanks! Tim Maybe there are some nice price variants in there....
  7. A buddy and I hit a bunch of the Vintage Stocks in the KC area yesterday to take advantage of the BOGO, and I managed to make a pretty good pickup out of the dollar boxes. Yes, it is a first print. Very nice!
  8. I picked these up yesterday morning at the north OKC Vintage Stock store during their Easter weekend BOGO sale. Cherry picked a shortbox full for about $115 and got the following books and a Batman Classic #401 So Much Fun variant all for about $20:
  9. Oh brother! I can't believe Bart (Bush) would do that. I'm going to have to have a chat with him. I chatted with Bart thru Facebook and he said he had limited dates to choose from. We all seem to like the new venue it's in (Embassy Suites in Norman) so he's sticking with it. He knows he's competing with WW Tulsa but is counting on all of the older comics at his show providing a big draw. I will likely pick OAFCon over Tulsa because: A) It's a much shorter drive (30 miles vs. 90-100 to Tulsa) B) There are more comics at OAFCon than at WW Tulsa BY FAR C) It's much cheaper to setup as a dealer D) Buddy Saunders with mycomicshop normally makes the trek up from Dallas with a 12-16 ft. truck and fills it as much as he can with comics he buys from OAFCon dealers. And he's very fair on what he offers. I sold him all of my table longboxes (5 or 6) last year.
  10. Oh brother! I can't believe Bart (Bush) would do that. I'm going to have to have a chat with him.
  11. Contact Bart Bush through Facebook. He's the one who organizes it.
  12. Isn't it boring getting all those books back with the exact same grade? True it lacks the suspense of opening a box and saying " WTF?!" Those kinds of submissions seem to be reserved for me.
  13. Isn't it boring getting all those books back with the exact same grade?
  14. I saw this in the display case at a local Vintage Stock store today. I knew I couldn't leave the store without it.
  15. I've had these for awhile but don't believe I've posted them in here before. Enjoy.
  16. Which series are you referring to - 1993, 1999 or 2004? 1993 I have 8 copies of Spider-Man Unlimited #1 from 1993 and none of them have a double cover.
  17. Which series are you referring to - 1993, 1999 or 2004?
  18. I believe all of those Titans #1s are like that. They either have cover A over cover B OR have cover B over cover A.
