  1. I just won this book in an online auction for the massive amount of $2.00. Of course by the time they shipped it to me, this $2.00 comic quickly turned into $20.00 I don't think anyone else realized it was the foreign variant of Fantastic Four #26 (printed in March 1971). Spanish I take it? I believe it's from Brazil.
  2. I've been grabbing high grade copies of Hardware #1 and Icon #1 as well as Static #1 for some time now thanks to a recommendation on these boards months ago. (thumbs u
  3. I'm going to buy one of these and rip the outer white cover off and sell it on eBay for $1,000 as the SUPER RARE ANTI-DOUBLE COVER! Ya gotta think outside the box!
  4. Why are Concrete prices soaring? Was there a media announcement? TV show. BTW, I'd buy Umbrella Academy books if I was you. Apocalypse Suite, Dallas or both?
  5. Just changing the title - AGAIN - TO WHAT IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE!
  6. Ebay limits the amount of offers to 3 from each bidder. So even if one person uses up all 3 of their offers, anybody else can still make offers on that item. And the person who used up all of their offers can still hit the Buy It Now to get that same item.
  7. It's been a good week for me for buying comics. First up, I picked up these comics from a seller on Facebook all for $1.00 each: The ASM 129 is the Lion's Gate reprint and the ASM #529 is a 1st print in great shape. There's also Avengers #402 (last issue) and V2 #1; Gambit #1; Marc Spector, Moon Knight #59: Marvel Milestone: Hulk #1 (anybody recognize the signature?) and Eternal Warrior #4 (1st Bloodhot). Then within the past couple of days I bought a longbox full of comics from a local guy through a Facebook ad. They were 99% Marvel and included these runs: Excalibur 1-41, Special 1 New Mutants 94-97 Silver Surfer 51-56 Wolverine 2-46 X-Factor 1-80 (no 6) X-Force 1-10 X-Men 259-289 (no 266) X-Men V2 1-9 A little over 250 comics in all for $100. The guy had already taken the box to an LCS who of course took the Wolverine #1, X-Factor #6 and X-Men #266 but all of the rest of the good ones were still in there - Silver Surfer 55,56; Wolverine 10; X-Factor 5,15,19,23 and 24; 5 copies of X-Force 1, 2 copies of X-Force 2, 8; X-Men 268,282,283 and X-Men V2 #4,5. Then yesterday I went to a BOGO sale at a local Vintage Stock store. They had some new $1 long boxes on the floor so I only went through those. Here's what I grabbed: Yep - in that 1st pic is Civil War 1-7 in NM/NM+. They had them for sale as a set for $9.95. I couldn't grab them fast enough. Other highlights are Hulk #270, Infinity Gauntlet 2,5,6; Miles Morales: Ultimate Spider-Man #1 (1st print); Wolverine 80; Flash 1 (2006); Static #1; Superman, Man of Steel 17 (2nd printing); Batman and Robin #1 (New 52); Batman, The Dark Knight #1 (New 52); Superman/Wonder Woman #1 (New 52); Static Shock #1-6 (New 52). So a great buying week overall. And I still have the weekend left. (thumbs u
  8. Great guy to work with and very patient. Bought 5 of Frank's VCC books for next to nothing. Highy recommended seller. (thumbs u
  9. This, at least, is nice. And I just sold it yesterday (along with my #2 SS SL SS) to a guy in Canada on eBay.
  10. The Mini-Me came out of Stan when he signed this book:
  11. I finally got around to taking group pics of the various comic multi-packs I've picked up over the last 13 years: Both of the Marvel Super-Heroes packs have issue #8 in them. Two of the Marvel 5-packs have Iron Man #304 in them.
  12. Start an overflow thread (like we do for the Virtual Comic Con) and add a link to the 2 threads so we can go back and forth between the 2. But yes, you are correct. People should let us know when their book has been sold or replaced with another copy. My ASM 129 double cover is up for sale now so I might be removing that one soon (or someone else will be adding it).
  13. Excellent. Good to know there are still some nice copies out in the wild.
  14. On June 2 the same buyer bought $11,790 worth of books from me and has not paid. His name is George Hampton of Altoona PA and he runs something called Comics Unlimited. I called him several times and he told me about having problems with Paypal and that he was sending me a cashiers check. When I didn't get the check after a week I called and he told me it was returned. He tells me he will send the check out again the following Monday Priority (last week). I call him Wednesday and he tells me he didn't get a chance to send out the check. So far...no check. He said he'd give me tracking for the first check (he didn't) and that he'd get the check out again (he didn't). When I tried to call him this weekend no answer and no return call after I left a message. This is his Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/george.hampton.712?fref=ufi&pnref=story I couldn't get this guy's name on my eBay blocked list fast enough.
  15. I agree. I've talked about lousy eBay sellers myself in here (poor packaging, item not as described, stealing images, etc.). It's more of a warning to not deal with these guys but it's not necessary to add them to the list on page 1. Sounds like it's time for an EBAY: SELLERS TO AVOID LIST thread to be started. Or does one already exist? Page 1. Post 2. And I haven't updated the list for over a month. The first two posts locked and are uneditable. If someone wants to restart it and uodate it, feel free. Thanks Harvey. (thumbs u
  16. I wonder what she's going to get you the next 4 times she gets pregnant? By the 3rd pregnancy she'll probably want you to start buying stuff FOR HER! Great book!

  18. If that's the case then the buyer should just pick 14 of the 15 and only pay $28 for them.
  19. Found this in a dollar bin at a local Vintage Stock store: And now....back to our regularly sponsored Eve Meyer picture request.
