  1. Just saw the pertaining e-mails: Purchased at 8:05 PM Paid for at 8:06 PM Request to cancel at 8:08 PM
  2. Consider blocking tilainamariep. Within minutes of buying a Tomb of Dracula #5 from me, I get this message: "I apologize, I already own #5. Can you refund my payment? I apologize for any inconvenience! I didn't have my list near by of issues I own. I'm sorry! Tilaina Pebley" So I asked her why she couldn't look at her "list" first before buying and cancelled the order.
  3. I have one at CGC right now. I'm hoping mine grades around 9.0.
  4. That's awesome. It's rare because it's the first appearance of the Incredible HUL. Damn! You beat me to it!
  5. I just love how Chuck thinks newsstands are worth 3 times what his already overpriced direct editions are.
  6. How about one for $15? http://www.ebay.com/itm/X-Force-19-1993-9-2-9-4-1st-Copycat-in-true-form-Deadpool-movie-/400868199113?rd=1
  7. Did you ever get this answered? If not, just look at Deadpool #3 in 1993. It's not labeled as Deadpool -The Circle Chase.
  8. I called it. Thank you. This will be a $20 by the official announcement Yes you did, I just saw the thread in Copper forum. So far I'm counting 15 copies sold today on ebay, all cheap of course. I'll be digging through longboxes and some dollar bins tomorrow I just checked to see if I have a few copies of X-Force #19. I found 69 of them. Good Lord Man! How did you accidentally amass 69 copies? I actually picked them up about 3 years ago. They were part of a bulk purchase of about 10,000 comics from a guy in Ada, Oklahoma. There was a smattering of Silver and Bronze but was mostly Copper and Modern. If I remember correctly I paid $800-$1,000 for the whole shebang. I had to rent a U-Haul van to transport them. I'll take a pic shortly. Here ya go:

  11. A Dreadstar #1 in CGC 9.8 already goes for over $100? Wow.....
  12. Wrong thread. This is the "Let's Verbally Chastise Each Other" thread.
  13. Back in 2008-9, I was collecting a lot of GGA and didn't yet have a Stevens example. A couple of friends connected with the Stevens market asked me what I'd be interested in, and I threw out the Airboy #5 cover, the Vanguard Illustrated #2 cover and the Vampirella: Transcending Time & Space TPB wraparound cover. I was told that the Airboy #5 and a number of unspecified other big pieces were still with the estate, the Vanguard #2 cover was presumed to be out in the wilderness somewhere and the Vampi was with a known collector who was close to Dave and not likely to ever sell it (it later showed up on CAF in 2010). Apparently a lot of people thought the estate would be selling everything soon after Dave's passing, which turned out not to be the case. A lot of collectors apparently contacted the estate about buying art "with indecent haste", as my friend put it, after Dave's passing. I do know of at least one piece that left the estate since then, but I'm not sure how much else may or may not have. So, six years ago they still had the Airboy #5 and a lot of other great pieces, but I do not know the current status of their holdings. The piece you are referring to as having left is a painting correct? "Indecent haste" is a tricky thing to manage. If you believe that the estate will be selling well you don't want someone else to beat you to it (which is understandable) but of course you don't want to upset the family. Buying from estates is tricky period. The family tends to think the items are either worthless or priceless, with very little in-between. You're either in a position of trying not to take advantage of them, or of trying not to be taken advantage of yourself. Very well said.
  14. I picked up one of these awhile back too but it's missing a lot of the figures.
  15. Another 9.2-9.4 copy that would improve with a press. Definitely thinking of sending this and the Swamp Thing #37 to CGC.
