They actually have 2 stores in Springfield. One on the Kansas Expressway just south of I-44 and the other one is on south Glenstone in Springfield.

Last week, I had to fly into Chicago and drive my sister-in-law back to Oklahoma City (she'll be living with us from now on). We spent the night in Springfield, MO on the way back so I took the opportunity to go to a local Vintage Stock store that night. I found about 20 good books while I was there, but the one book I was surprised to see in one of their long boxes was this one. My first copy. It's a nice NM-/NM copy that I only paid $8.00 for.

It seems to me that these rules are insufficient and need to be modified. 1) 100% of the power to remove the accused from the PL lies with the accuser(s). If the accuser chooses not to request removal, the accused stays on the list. That is the rule? This makes no sense to me. There should be a method for the accused to get off the list if an honest attempt to rectify the situation is made. 2) What does "satisfaction" mean? This is too nebulous. Someone might receive restitution, but still not be satisfied for various reasons. 3) Why is there no time limit for automatically being nominated to the HOS? Issues should be resolved quickly. Waiting months or even longer seems to defeat the purpose of a PL. So, I guess my point is, why not modify the rules to reflect reality, rather than constantly having to discuss what should and should not be done because the rules are insufficient and unclear? Again, I agree with this 100%. As I had mentioned earlier when I was trying to phrase the collected opinions on the PL Rules I was not expecting that boardies would take another boardie hostage after they tried to make amends. I think this simple modification to the rules (in blue) would solve all these problems. What do you think? I think D looks good. At the very least it should take a hell of a lot more than 51% to get off the list should it come to a vote. There would have to be a time limit on the vote too. Not all board members come on here on a daily or even weekly basis.

Oh, I have a few more Dave items to show you guys. I'll post 'em tomorrow. I know all of these have been posted in here before, but do we ever get tired of seeing anything Dave related? Why no, we don't! All of these books have been purchased off of feeBay in the last 3 weeks. First up....my 2nd very nice copy of Comico Attractions in NM+. Paid $5.00 for this one. Up next....my 3rd nice copy of Eclipse Graphic Album #15 (Twisted Tales). Looks like a NM+ but has some color loss on the back cover. $8.99 for this copy. Picked this one up on eBay from our own Jeff Li. Sorry Jeff, but I stole this one. Only $12.07! Got this one, my 2nd NM+ copy of Alter Ego #21, from the same seller as the Twisted Tales. $9.99. And the best purchase I've had lately. Saw these on eBay and took a chance. Seller was selling these in lots of 10 on eBay for $9.99 with FREE shipping! I bought one lot of 10 (he actually sent me 12) and all but one of them just had a non-color breaking corner bend at the top right corner. So after a slight press I now have 11 NM+ copies of this book. I just bought another lot of 10 last night at the same price.

I took a couple of pictures of some Dave Stevens artwork in this book that I had never seen before to share with you guys (and gals). Catwoman artwork Unfinished cover to Planet Comics #2 Would love to have seen both of them as actual covers. Since the Catwoman art is finished, maybe they'll use it someday?

Is your LCS going out of business? If not, they probably will soon if they sell books like that one for only a buck. Very nice buy for you though!

Under what name this time around? It's not harold, someone less crazy... I just paid for some books and this boardie is the owner of the PayPal. Now te issue is this, do I out them now with them having my cash? So it sounds like you bought books from him through another venue (eBay?) then realized it was the boardie based on his Paypal address. Do I have that right?

I don't agree with the way he initially posted, but I am one of those people who agrees that the continual requoting of a single post with a lot of scans in it is rather irritating.
