  1. I see you saved your 1000th post to chastise greggy.
  2. That's one nice thing about living in Oklahoma. They have garage sales year round down here (although I haven't found much of anything lately).
  3. Tease! (Should I be nervous?) Naaaaaa. But everyone else below you and above me should be.
  4. <----------- About to move way up on the Dave Stevens set ladder.
  5. Found often with spine stress stains. I'm not sure why. Fixed that for ya.
  6. Great book. I've never seen that one before.
  7. I hear that pulps come up for sale quite often in a place called the CGC Marketplace.
  8. Was this the winner? How does one price a book like this? Any way one wants. pretty much. Supply is very small. How is demand for this comic? Isn't there only one known copy? Is this still true, donut? I find it very interesting that you brought this book back into the discussion. You are eluding to having a copy, with the couple of Emotes youve done, but not showing it. The reason I am curious about this, is because I missed a copy of this remco Warlord promo that came up for sale on 12/17/12. I wont say from where but it was online. It was very underpriced for how rare this book is. So either you have one, and this book I saw was a different copy, making it at least 3 known copies. Or the book I saw was the same one you got, and the reason you are not showing it yet, is because you havnt received it yet? I just find the timeing pretty interesting. Stranger things have happened though You DARE question the Warlord?
  9. Here you go posting 3 pictures of a bunch of great comics and all I can notice is that National Lampoon in the background.
  10. The US 179 probably has the broadest collector base, and there was always a demand for it. Star Wars 1 35 cent variant = Uncle Scrooge 179. The rarest Whitmans were only released as three packs, with the rarest of the rare ones having very low distribution even as packs. The DC Presents 22 Whitman variant is by far the rarest DC Whitman - for a long time it was rumored not to exist until somebody on the board found one. As always the Donut has the answers Yeah. Who says you don't get much from a donut hole?
  11. Since CGC is having such a hard time keeping up with demand for their grading services, I've decided to start a new thread: "This Year Back From CGC"
  12. Ashcans weren't really being produced in 1983, so that would be an oddity. Maybe it was something produced for a DVD release? I have an Ashcan sized "Land of the Giants" #1 that has the Gold Key logo and everything. It was produced for a DVD. DG I passed on it but I will pick it up during the Christmas break. I still can't find any info on it anywhere. Do you have a scan or something? I wasn't even aware an ashcan existed. No. It was a typical ashcan. IIRC the cover was on yellow stock. Black only printing, not color. It wasn't typical for 1982 & 1983. It could have been created to promote Pacific at conventions. If your discovery is true, collectors would have viewed it as something easy to bootleg/fake and not had a lot of confidence in it as a collectible. DG I'll post scans of it when I pick it up in a few weeks. My Christmas break started this past weekend, so I'm still looking forward to seeing the scan of this. I like rarities and oddities. DG My Christmas plans have changed so it may be another month or so before I can get back to pick it up. You better let me pick it up for you then. Someone else might grab it in the meantime.
  13. What was the other part? Maybe she got dressed up like Betti Page.
  14. Yeah, that wasn't too smart. Better edit or delete that post pronto.
  15. +1 Came with a board game. Super rare! Certain Uncanny X-Men comics in the 290s-300s (297, 303, 307) came with a game and have different coloring on the cover than the regular issues (mostly gold I think). The back covers also have a Pressman game ad.
  16. Damn...you're right. That is the Pressman variant.
