  1. Very nice pickup! I believe that’s the book Joel Elad facilitated several years ago. Gorgeous
  2. Could the “Bone Flip Book nn” be eliminated from the Bone (Cartoon Books) registry set? It’s not a comic book, has no story, and wasn’t even drawn by Jeff Smith. Thanks. Slot removed. Thank you
  3. That’s right, I’ve seen the #14 DM or show it here. I’d love to see it!
  4. Cool, thank you. I think #12 was the last issue to get multiple printings with the various colored titles. Used to think it was #11. So you’re the one who bought the AP? Congrats! Did you get a sketch as well? I remember reading that it was included with the purchase,
  5. When did the Copper Age end? Everything beyond is a modern is it not?
  6. Looks like $11k with BP. Not quite as high as you guys thought but still a good price IMHO. Congrats!
  7. I believe this was the book that Joel Elad submitted. He had it on eBay for a bit and he may have sold it thru Best Offer. Not completely sure about this though.
  8. Lucky for us, it’s for sale on the boards as we speak
  9. I’m curious, to what you are referring?
  10. Does anyone know what the Bone #1 9.8 SS sold for on Pedigree last month? Google searches aren’t helping at the moment
  11. Yo! Didn’t realize it’s been more than nine months since I’ve been here. Very glad they haven’t found an excuse to ban you
  12. Welcome! I’ve been on a similar hunt that has spanned since the series began. I’m 13 books short of a full run in 9.8 (I include the three editions of #38, Rose, Rat Tails, and all the one-offs as part of the run). I’ve never really cared about the multiple printings except for the Image books that have different cover art (just have two of those SS’d) so I can’t help you with a list of which colored “Bone” title corresponds with what printing. #12 has three printings? I’ve seen a blue title for what I thought was the second print but haven’t seen another variation. Please show if you can. Good luck!
  13. Really beautiful book. Was surprised when CGC started graded these cuz I thought they were too thick. Then again, I’ve only seen them in pics... Considering what it is, a reprint of already published material from a college newspaper, it is incredibly niche. I’ve never seen anything Bone related go for more than $6k since all of the original artwork was donated to Ohio State. Would be very interesting to see in a high profile auction. You sold a lower grade copy to Grails back in 2013 did you not?
  14. Still don’t understand the fascination with that book. I’ve only seen one or two that were close to NM in the last ten years.
  15. Wow. You clearly haven’t read anything RMA has actually posted (he’s answered Stu’s question ad nauseam for at least the last 10 pages). Of course, that’s not your point is it
  16. The #1 has one of my favorite covers (Richard Corben goodness). Nice pickup!
  17. Yep, GPA only has 2 sales for CGC 9.8 Bone #1. $4,750 in December 2016 and $3,216 in 2008. Owners of that book don't seem willing to sell. There have been six sales by my count including the first blue label 9.8 that hit the market in 2008. Two of these were private sales in 2015 and two were on ComicLink.
  18. Cerebus #161 is not a "preview". I believe it reprints the entire story from #3 which was published eight months earlier. Other than #1, the print runs have never been revealed to my knowledge. Not sure if you're speaking of Cerebus or Bone print runs. Sim used to famously publish the print runs in each issue (as it was rising) until it peaked and started going down and then he stopped. Somewhere around 115? I wrote to Sim around the time it was approaching 200, I think, encouraging him to include the print run in his note from the publisher just for #200 for old time's sake. No reply. Was referring to Bone. Sorry I didn't make that specific.
